    I use the ajax which sends back a string.. I want to convert the responsetext into a json object to process. I tried eval and also , but doesn't works... Wht to do?   • Loading external content with jquery or iframe?

    Hiho, There's an existing website that i need to include into another site which goes like this: a.mysite.com and i need to fetch content from this site in my www.mysite.com website... As i need to access the content of the iframe the Same origin policy produces a problem here. What i did was to configure mod_proxy on Apache to proxy pass all requests from www.mysite.com/a to a.mysite.com This will work fine...but my problem is that im not sure what the best way would be to include those pages. 1. Idea As the content of the iframe is a full featured site with a top navigation...left navigation etc....i would need to change the page template to only show the content box to be able to integrate that page in the iframe. 2. Idea I could just load the DIV where the content lies through JQuery.load() and integrate it into my site. What is the best way to accomplish such a task? How bad is both ideas from the SEO point of view?

    I went to test my page on another browser. On google chrome i can fill out a form, hit back and forward and still have the data there. Now i need to refresh the page so certain data is correct (such as session id if the cookie expires or user logs out before submitting). I refresh and lose all data. Is there some option i can set so all data is kept?

  • How to refer to the true 'body' of a page? [NOT iFrame body]

    I have a script that create a new div element. Then, I want to append the div to the body of the page using appendChild method. The script is look like this : var div = document.createElement('div'); div.id = 'newdiv'; document.body.appendChild(div); Unfortunately, the div also appended to the body of iframes. So, my question is, how to refer to the true body of the document, not including the body of the iframes? That way, the div just appended once, to the "true body" of the document. Thanks before, and sorry if my english is bad. :-D

    Hi all, I have two images with which I am using in an anchor tag. I am using jquery toggle on the click event of the anchor tag to swap between images. $(document).ready(function(){ $('#registrationForm').hide(); $('#callform').append("<a id='formlink'>IMAGE 1</a>"); $("#formlink").click(function(){ $('#registrationForm').toggle(function(){ $('#formlink').empty().append(IMAGE 2); }); }); }); This works fine the first time around, however i want to toggle between the two images whenever the other is clicked. Any ideas ?

  • IE showing hidden div under certain circumstances

    After googling around and finding a lot of ie bugs I still did not find a description of the problem I have. The initial situation is a standard one. We have a tooltip which is actually a hidden div that will be displayed on mouseover at a given location. The div is hidden with display:none and contains a table with the content. We tried different libraries for showing the div (scriptaculous and jQuery Cluetip) but the effect is the same. The problem: Everything is fine as long as the contents fits the width of my window. But when I resize it until the horizontal scrollbar is activated the content of the hidden div will be shown at the end of the page when the tooltip is activated. This is really strange as it happens only under these premises. When more than one tooltip is involved the browser might even crash (and under Vista takes the whole system with him duh). I know it's a bit complicated to explain but I hope that someone at least had heard of that bug and can point me into the right direction.

    I know how to serialize an object to JSON in ASP.NET Ajax, but I'm trying to do things on the client in a less Microsoft-specific way. I'm using jQuery. Is there a "standard" way to do this? My specific situation: I have an array defined something like this: var countries = new Array(); countries[0] = 'ga'; countries[1] = 'cd'; ... and I need to turn this into a string to pass to $.ajax() like this: $.ajax({ type: "POST", url: "Concessions.aspx/GetConcessions", data: "{'countries':['ga','cd']}", ... Edit (clarification) I realize there are a number of JSON libraries out there, but I'd like to avoid introducing a new dependency (if I'm going to do that, I might as well use ASP.NET Ajax's built-in JSON serializer).

But it's always changes only latest element of array (8). Why?

  • how to sort an existing table in greasemonkey ?

    i'm writing a greasemonkey user.js for a page with a table in it. (table is 100 rows by 18 columns.) now what i want to do is to make it sortable on column. and also have it run in both chrome and firefox. all searches for answers sofar resulted in suggestions to use jquery/dojo or something alike. can i be done without any external code? after all it's just a matter of replacing the row's in a different order, right? or is that a silly thing to say? the thing is that i'm already using dojo for some query needs but since i want it to run in both firefox and chrome, i just copy paste the whole dojo thing in my script.. also, most of the solutions i found sofar seem to be more for use when building a table. not for altering an existing one. any help is appreciated.

  • KineticJS issue with repeatable mouse event

    I have noob issue here (i obviously missing something). I simplified it from my bigger application: When i click blue rectangle, i add another layer to the stage that includes red rectangle (clickable), when i clik this red rectangle it removes second layer with red rect. Problem: When i click blue rect second time, nothing happens :( i.e. app works only once, and i need to add/remove second layer(with red rect) repeatedly.     Hello All, I have a big problem with Google Chrome and its memory. My app is displaying to user several image charts and reloads them every 10s. In the interval i have code like that var image = new Image(); var src = 'myurl/image'+new Date().getTime(); image.onload = function() { document.getElementById('myimage').src = src; image.onload = image.onabort = image.onerror = null; } image.src = src; So i have no memory leaks in Firefox and IE. Here the response headers for images Server Apache-Coyote/1.1 Vary * Cache-Control no-store (// I try no-cache, must-revalidate and so on here) Content-Type image/png Content-Length 11131 Date Mon, 31 May 2010 14:00:28 GMT Vary * taken from here In about:cache page there is no my cached images. If i enable purge-memory-button for chrome (--purge-memory-button parameter) it`s not help. Images is in PNG24. So i think that the problem is not in cache. May be Google Chrome is not releasing memory for old images. Please help. Any suggestions. Thanks.

  • scrollTop issue on constant moving div

    I have a FLASH object that I mouse over which in turn calls the following function to scroll a div. It works but due to the constant high speed scrolling it would throw up NULLS. This in turn caused IE to open a new page through my FLASH ActionScript 2.0 I found that by creating the SC variable and throwing in the condition "if it exists" keeps FLASH from causing IE to open a new page. However, it still creates an error behind the scenes of "Object Required". Although my application works I do not want load up memory with errors.
