    Can somebody suggest an easy way to get a reference to a file as a String/InputStream/File/etc type object in a junit test class? Also when I close the spell checker the main form is back to normal. It seems like it is opening up Microsoft word then hiding the window, only allowing the spell checker to be seen. Please help.

    Hi, I have a datagrid with an XML object as dataprovider. There are 2 columns in the datagrid which have comboboxes as their itemrenderers. The rendereriseditor property is also marked true. These itemrenderers are defined in their own mxml files. What i want is if the user selects a particular item in the combobox, say NA, then the value of the other combobox should also become NA.   • Why is Gmail not showing my text/html alternative?

    I'm creating an outgoing e-mail message (TIdMessage) with add two TIdText objects, one with ContentType:='text/plain' and one ContentType:='text/html', and also a TIdAttachment object. This seems to work for Outlook, which shows the HTML content, but for some odd reason, GMail keeps showing me the text/plain version by default. I've tried adding the text/html version first, I've tried adding '; charset=iso-8859-1' to the content type string, but I can't seem to find what else is different with other e-mails that GMail is showing the HTML from rightaway.

Is there a way to tell XStream to use Java's default serialization if the object does implement Serializable and to fall back on XML serialization if it does not? How can I change the text of the choice_label without modifying _unicode_ ? I have a Product model and I want to show in the options text the product name + price + link to edit. The type library file, does not have any hints of events definitions, so Delphi doesn't see it. The class works fine for other C# applications, as you would expect. What I need to do is place data from the UI in the model, what I have done is write a method in the view which collects the required data in an object and then passes it to the model. The model then takes ownership of the data so that the view can release its ownership. Does this sound sensible?

  • .NET WinForms INotifyPropertyChanged updates all bindings when one is changed. Better way?

    In a windows forms application, a property change that triggers INotifyPropertyChanged, will result in the form reading EVERY property from my bound object, not just the property changed. (See example code below) This seems absurdly wasteful since the interface requires the name of the changing property. It is causing a lot of clocking in my app because some of the property getters require calculations to be performed. I'll likely need to implement some sort of logic in my getters to discard the unnecessary reads if there is no better way to do this. Am I missing something? Is there a better way? Don't say to use a different presentation technology please -- I am doing this on Windows Mobile (although the behavior happens on the full framework as well). Here's some toy code to demonstrate the problem.     I'm trying to create a jQuery plugin that will create something like an autoCompleteBox but with custom features. How do I store member variables for each matching jQuery element? For example I'll need to store a timerID for each. I'd also like to store references to some of the DOM elements that make up the control. I'd like to be able to make a public method that works something like: $("#myCtrl").autoCompleteEx.addItem("1"); But in the implementation of addItem() how can I access the member variables for that particular object like its timerID or whatever?
