    I'm designing an image repository. I want to uncouple the filename from the image html link. For instance: image in filesystem is called images/items/12543.jpg HTML is <img src="images/car.jpg" /> Does anyone strongly discourages me to rewrite all image requests using PHP so when retrieving images/car.jpg, Apache really replies content from images/items/12543.jpg? I don't know if I may get performance problems.

  • Force download through markup or JS

    Lets assume I have a file on a CDN (Cloud Files from Rackspace) and a static html page with a link to that file. Is there any way I can force download this file (to prevent it from opening in the browser -- for mp3s for example)? We could make our server read the file and set the corresponding header to: header("Content-Type: application/force-download") but we have about 5 million downloads per month so we would rather let the CDN take care of that. Any ideas?

    On Win32 I'm getting intermittent output like this at page header: order allow,deny deny from allorder allow,deny deny from all I'm running php script which has number of .htaccess files in each subfolder. I need to understand why sometimes apache is just dumping me a content of this files. So just wondering if there is any way to enable debug log. I've tried ErrorLog "e:/wamp/logs/apache_error.log" LogLevel debug However can't see any debug output neither in error nor in access logs. Thanks

  • Triggering jquery event when an element appears on screen

    I want to show a fade effect as soon as the element appears on screen. There is a lot of content before this element so if I trigger the efect on document.ready, at certain resolutions the vistors wont´t see it. Is it possible to trigger an event when, after scrolling down, the element becomes visible? I am almost sure I have seen this effect before, but have no idea how to achieve it. Thank you!

  • Drupal's profile_save_profile Doesn't Work in hook_cron, When Run by the Server's cron

    I have a problem with the following implementation of hook_cron in Drupal 6.1.3. The script below runs exactly as expected: it sends a welcome letter to new members, and updates a hidden field in their profile to designate that the letter has been sent. There are no errors in the letter, all new members are accounted for, etc. The problem is that the last line -- updating the profile -- doesn't seem to work when Drupal cron is invoked by the 'real' cron on the server. When I run cron manually (such as via /admin/reports/status/run-cron) the profile fields get updated as expected. Any suggestions as to what might be causing this?   • How to access the database when developing on a phone?

Whenever I execute cd /data/data/com.mycompck/databases then if I try to run ls I get opendir failed, Permission denied Or whenever I type in: sqlite3 I get sqlite3: permission denied What I am doing wrong? Are there some applications that can help me getting a human view of content resolvers values and/or SQLite databases?
