How to merge objects in php ?

Hey everybody, I'm currently re-writing a class which handles xml files. Depending on the xml file and it's structure I sometimes need to merge objects. Lets say once I have this: <page name="a title"/> And another time I have this: <page name="a title"> <permission>administrator</permission> </page> Before, I needed only the attributes from the "page" element. That's why a lot of my code expects an object containing only the attributes ($loadedXml-attributes()). Now there are xml files in which the <permission> element is required. I did manage to merge the objects (though not as I wanted) but I can't get to access one of them (most probably it's something I'm missing). To merge my objects I used this code: (object) array_merge( (array) $loadedXml->attributes(), (array) $loadedXml->children() ); This is what I get from print_r(): stdClass Object ( [@attributes] => Array ( [name] => a title ) [permission] => Array ( [0] => administrator ) ) So now my question is how to access the @attributes method ? select option clears when page loads in php

Hey guys, the scenario is this: see select below <form name="limit"> <select name="limiter" onChange="limit(this.value)"> <option selected="selected"> </option> <option value="5">5</option> <option value="10">10</option> <option value="15">15</option> </select> </form> I want whenever any option is selected for 3 things to happen: 1.) js limit() function is called which all it does its takes current url, adds new query parameter 'limit' with the user selected value eg: http://localhost/blahblah/apps/category.php?pg=1&catId=3021&limit=5 (this will cause the category.php page to be hit and # of product displayed limited to the value selected by user) 2.)Once the url is hit, it reloads but i DONT want the value selected to reset back to the default (which it currently does). I want it to reflect the users selection after page reload. 3.) Also, when i move to the next page (pagination), i would like the state to be carried ova to the next page (ie. remembering the user selection).

Hello, I am using a MySQL table called "login" with the following structure: loginid, username, password, email, actcode, disabled, activated, created, points I am using another MySQL table called "comment" with the following structure: commentid, loginid, submissionid, comment, datecommented For a given "submisssionid", I would like to print out the following information from the table "comment": -The fields "comment" and "datecommented". At the same time, I would like to print out the following from the table "login": -The "username" that corresponds to the "loginid" for each row being row being selected from the table "comment". How can I do this? I tried the code below but it did not work. asp.net ajax collapsible panel in ie8 problem

Anyone try this simple bit of code in an ie8 browswer and try refreshing the page, in ie8 you will get an error around getelementbyid on refresh. How to get the dynamic generated content of an external ASP file using PhP?

This is the situation: I've a PhP login page that check is an external ASP page has generated something (nickname). For example: i'm logged? So opening directly the asp page will display "nickname:thecrius" and nothing more. I'm not logged? So opening the ASP page will display nothing. Now i've to catch the "thecrius" string with a PhP page. Using file_get_contents only return me "nickname:", the "static" part of the asp page. What i'm doing wrong? Wrong date with ruby Date.today and DateTime.now

I've installed ruby-1.8.6-p383 with RVM. System ruby is 1.9.1_p378-1 I'm getting the wrong date from Date.today and DateTime.now when using ruby 1.8.. Whereas Time.now is correct: irb(main):002:0> DateTime.now.to_s => "2126--1-10618T11:23:43+00:00" irb(main):004:0> Date.today.to_s => "2126--1-10618" irb(main):005:0> Time.now => Thu Jan 28 11:55:27 +0000 2010 All is well if I switch to ruby 1.9: irb(main):003:0> DateTime.now.to_s => "2010-01-28T11:58:51+00:00" irb(main):004:0> Date.today.to_s => "2010-01-28" irb(main):005:0> Time.now => 2010-01-28 11:59:05 +0000 Any advice on how to get DateTime to work properly in ruby 1.8 would be most appreciated!

C++ casted realloc causing memory leak

I'm using a function I found here to save a webpage to memory with cURL: struct WebpageData { char *pageData; size_t size; }; size_t storePage(void *input, size_t size, size_t nmemb, void *output) { size_t realsize = size * nmemb; struct WebpageData *page = (struct WebpageData *)output; page->pageData = (char *)realloc(page->pageData, page->size + realsize + 1); if(page->pageData) { memcpy(&(page->pageData[page->size]), input, realsize); page->size += realsize; page->pageData[page->size] = 0; } return realsize; } and find the line: page->pageData = (char *)realloc(page->pageData, page->size + realsize + 1); is causing a memory leak of a few hundred bytes per call. The only real change I've made from the original source is casting the line in question to a (char *), which my compiler (gcc, g++ specifically if it's a c/c++ issue, but gcc also wouldn't compile with the uncast statement) insisted upon, but I assume this is the source of the leak. Can anyone elucidate? Thanks

jQuery: show an element from select drop down, hide it when other option selected

I've tried looking around and there are similar problems, but mine is way more simple, but yet, I can't find a solution within these forums. While learning jQuery, I'm trying to show a DIV when an item/option from a select drop down is selected, and hide that same DIV when any other option in the select drop down is selected. select HTML: <select name="source" id="source"> <option value="null" selected="selected">—Select—</option> <option value="s1">Source 1</option> <option value="s2">Source 2</option> <option value="sother">Other</option> </select> DIV I need to show when 'Other' is selected: <div id="specify-source">Other source here...</div> When any other option in the select menu is selected, the above DIV shouldn't be visible. CSS style refresh in IE after dynamic removal of style link

Hi! I've got a problem with the dynamic style manipulation in IE7 (IE8 is fine). Using javascript I need to add and remove the < link / node with the definition of css file. Adding and removing the node as a child of < head / works fine under Firefox. Unfortunately, after removing it in the IE, although The tag is removed properly, the page style does not refresh. In the example below a simple css (makes background green) is appended and removed. IE6 transparency+radio button can't be clicked

IE6: when I place a partially transparent image in a div, the radio buttons in that div that overlap the non-transparent pixels of the image become unclickable.
