• Flex dynamic form height

  I'm not sure if this is possible, is there a way to get the <mx:Form> to set its own height based on the position of an element within it? For example something like this: <mx:Form height="{submitBtn.y + submitBtn.height}"> <mx:FormItem>... </mx:FormItem> <mx:FormItem>... </mx:FormItem> <mx:FormItem>... </mx:FormItem> <mx:FormItem> <s:Button id="submitBtn" label="Submit" /> </mx:FormItem> </mx:Form> where the form height is dynamically set based on submitBtn's y position and its height. I tried using Alert.show to show these values and turned out submitBtn.y = 0 and submitBtn.height = 21. height sounds reasonable, but I know the submitBtn.y can't be 0 since it's below several other Is it possible to set the form height dynamically?

  I have a simple HTML (as HTA) application that shows strange behavior on Windows XP x64 machine. I getting periodically (not every time) error message "Access is denied." when i start the application. The same application on Windows XP 32bit runs just fine...   In my ASP.net MVC View I have a dropdown that I want to get details on selection and asynchronously update a div. The onchange event fires correctly on selection of the dropdown, but instead of the Details method in my code behind firing, it hits my Index method. Why is the details method not getting hit on the onchange event? My Details() method in the controller is: public ActionResult Details() { ... < It never gets here, just goes to the index() method } It's a little frustrating right now since I'm sure it is a simple mistake but not sure what it could be. I looked at the Source of my page and sure enough, the form looks like it should be routing to the Details Action: <form action="/Portal/Details" method="post" ... Any help would be appreciated.

How else can I write this then? I'm having difficulty conjuring something working by chaining any combination of .after(), and .insertAfter()?   Hi everyone Im trying to limit the amount of checkboxes that can be checked, in this case only 3 can be checked. When using plain HTML this works fine. The code can be seen below. • Do ORMs normally allow circular relations? If so, how would they handle it?

  I was hacking around trying to make a basic orm that has support for the one => one and one => many relationships. I think I succeeded somewhat, but I am curious about how to handle circular relationships. Say you had something like this: user::hasOne('car'); car::hasMany('wheels'); car::property('type'); wheel::hasOne('car'); You could then do this (theoretically): $u = new user(); echo $u->car->wheels[0]->car->wheels[1]->car->wheels[2]->car->wheels[3]->type; #=> "monster truck" Now, I am not sure why you would want to do this. It seems like it wastes a whole pile of memory and time just to get to something that could have been done in a much shorter way. In my small ORM, I now have 4 copies of the wheel class, and 4 copies of the car class in memory, which causes a problem if I update one of them and save it back to the database, the rest get out of date, and could overwrite the changes that were already made. How do other ORMs handle circular references? Do they even allow it? Do they go back up the tree and create a pointer to one of the parents? DO they let the coder shoot themselves in the foot if they are silly enough to go around in circles?

  I have a Profile model/controller in my cake app as well as an index.ctp view in /views/profiles. Now, when I go to add a column to my table that is already filled with data, and then add the corresponding code to the view to pick up this column's data, it just gives me an empty result.   I know the elements versus attributes debate has come up many times here and elsewhere (e.g. here, here, here, here, and here) but I haven't seen much discussion of elements versus attributes for simple property values. So which of the following approaches do you think is better for storing a simple value? A: Value in Element Content: <TotalCount>553</TotalCount> <CelsiusTemperature>23.5</CelsiusTemperature> <SingleDayPeriod>2010-05-29</SingleDayPeriod> <ZipCodeLocation>12203</ZipCodeLocation> or B: Value in Attribute: <TotalCount value="553"/> <CelsiusTemperature value="23.5"/> <SingleDayPeriod day="2010-05-29"/> <ZipCodeLocation code="12203"/> I suspect that putting the value in the element content (A) might look a little more familiar to most folks (though I'm not sure about that). Putting the value in an attribute (B) might use less characters, but that depends on the length of the element and attribute names. Putting the value in an attribute (B) might be more extensible, because you could potentially include all sorts of extra information as nested elements. Whereas, by putting the value inside the element content (A), you're restricting extensibility to adding more attributes. But then extensibility often isn't a concern for really simple properties - sometimes you know that you'll never need to add additional data. Bottom line might be that it simply doesn't matter, but it would still be great to hear some thoughts and see some votes for the two options.

The address used to be "https://ssl.rapidshare.com/cgi-bin/premiumzone.cgi" but that no longer works, does anyone know what the new one is?   Something quite odd is happening with y types and I quite dont understand if this is justified or not. I would tend to think not.   Hi All, I'm a little stuck trying to get my head around a django template. I have 2 objects, a cluster and a node I would like a simple page that lists... • How do you use FastInfoset with JAXWS?

  I've got code that looks like it should be correct based on what I can find, but the spewed output doesn't indicate that it's using FastInfoset. My understanding is the Accept should indicate it can accept Fastinfoset and the response would actually use it, meaning it's not text/xml as the response type. Any idea what I'm doing wrong? I've scoured with Google and I'm having a hard time finding much detail on how to use FastInfoset at all. • Rendering blocks side-by-side with FOP

  I need to generate a PDF from XML data using Apache FOP. The problem is that FOP doesn't support fo:float, and I really need to have items (boxes of rendered data) side-by-side in the PDF. More precisely, I need them in a 4x4 grid on each page, like so: In HTML, I would simply render these as left-floated divs with appropriate widths and heights. My data looks something like this: <item id="1"> <a>foo</a> <b>bar</b> <c>baz</c> </item> <item id="2">...</item> ... <item id="n">...</item> I considered using a two-column region-body, but then the order of items would be 1, 3, 2, 4 (reading from left to right) since they would be rendered tb-lr instead of lr-tb, and I need them to be in the correct order (id in above xml). I suppose I could try using a table, but I'm not quite sure how to group the items into table rows. So, some kind of workaround for the lack of fo:float would be greatly appreciated.

• Embed URL from variable in HTML file in Rails application

  hi, I have a doubt which might be silly for experience Rails developers. I am creating an application which is suppose to embed a video player with URL passed to it. So while displaying i.e in XXX.html.erb file i am writting below code. Now problem is @movie.trailer is my variable in ruby code which has URL value . I want the embedded video to load with URL given by this variable value.
