  • Php referrer works or not?

    I need to know the referring server for a page on my site. Is there any safe method to check where the user "came" to the page FROM? I tried uploading this to my server, but this wont output anything at all when I write the adress to the file in the browsers adress bar: <?php echo $_SERVER['HTTP_REFERER']; ?> I need to check this in order to display a link on the page or not...     Hey, I'm trying to mod rewrite the image locations on my site, I'm just using this : rewriteRule ^thumbs/(.*)$ http://site2.com/images/$1 [L] so that I can redirect all image requests going from http://site1.com/thumbs/something to http://site2.com/thumbs/something But only some of the images are loading, and not all of them.     I have a client who is wanting to create a link which contains product codes so that his customers hit a page with just those products displayed in an attempt to increase conversion rates from affilliate sites. My question is whats the best way to send these multiple products in a single URL For example: http://www.mydomain.co.uk/bespoke-list.php?catNo=234-324-232-343 Obviously then the site would grab the codes from the string and display them... I have some questions on the usage of freemind maps 1) Instead of using the freemindbrowser.html and the jar file to integrate a map with a website/ web app, can we do an export to Javascript from the tool and then integrate that exported file (.html) with the web site? 2) I want to be able to add javascript functions on events like node click, how do I do that?     I have some code that sets the lang var to the site default language. $lg = &JFactory::getLanguage(); $lg = explode('-',$lg->_default); $dlg = $lg[0]; if(!JRequest::getWord('lang', false )) JRequest::setVar('lang', $dlg ); however before setting it to $dlg I would like to find out if the language is stored in the user information or session. Can someone tell me how to check the session for language information?

    I am building a membership site... I just got thru the login page and I can now login and logout. However that alone doesn't protect all my pages in the root.. How do I go about this? I'd like to set it up like so when the viewer isn't log-in, the page that's being opened would say "Log in first blah3x"... Any help pls??? :-(

    Hi I have Visual Studio test manager installed in my machine, I have TFS Server installed on another server, I want to connect to that TFS server with new VS 2010. Do I need to install the Visual studio 2010 full version or just the test manager? I installed test manager and its asking a URL to add and I added the one we already have , but its not connecting to that site. Do I need to isntall Full version and TFS on same machine??   • How to resolve this PostgreSQL error on OS 10.6 (Snow Leopard)

    I followed the instructions for setting up postgresql from this site All seems to go fine until I try: createuser --superuser myname -U postgres I get the following exception: createuser: could not connect to database postgres: could not connect to server: No such file or directory Is the server running locally and accepting connections on Unix domain socket "/tmp/.s.PGSQL.5432"? For the life of me I can't figure out how to resolve this. Any ideas???
