Do you know of any OWL 2 tools/libraries implemented in C#? There are some in Java, but am I to rewrite them to C# or invent my own ones If I prefer .Net?
I'm working on a music streaming app that needs play controls (skip, pause, play) just like the iPhone iPod app. I built my controls using a UIToolbar and the standard buttons.
My UIToolbar controls look OK, but they're smaller than the ones that the iPod uses.
Does anyone know if the iPod controls are custom graphics? Or maybe custom buttons in a UIToolbar (to get the gradient)?
Hi,
Is there a particular flag that we can use to prevent apps
showing up in marketplace which require the phone to have a Camera
Flash /LED. typical apps are ones which make the phone act like a
torchlight in dark , i have seen a tag which prevents apps requiring
autofocus in a camera from appearing in the marketplace.
Just looking to find out if there is something similar for camera
flash.

Hi
I have a table with two columns:
column A column B
1 2
1 2
2 1
I want to return total of ones = 3 total of twos = 3
The best I can come up with is two queries like so:
SELECT sum(
CASE WHEN columnA =1 THEN 1 ELSE 0 END )
+ sum(CASE WHEN columnB =1 THEN 1 ELSE 0 END )
SELECT sum(
CASE WHEN columnA =2 THEN 1 ELSE 0 END )
+ sum(CASE WHEN columnB =2 THEN 1 ELSE 0 END )
Can this be done in one query?
Thanks
Hello everyone.
I need to bind an enum to a combobox that is inside a DataGridTemplateColumn, but only some of the options that the enum has.
Example:
Enum options:
Unknow, One, Two, Three, Four, All
Bindable ones: One, Two, Three, Four
Any way to do this?
Many thanks.
Best regards
I need to tunnel the connections (mostly TCP) made by an application through Socks5, SSH or HTTPS.
So far, I've found 3 ways to do this: api hooks, winsock lsp and a driver.
I'm looking for advice on the best way to handle this, and any recommendations on SDK's that could abstract this task for me (free/open-source preferred, but commercial ones are welcome as long as the price is not high for a one-man-starting-company to afford).
ps. I'm using .Net (C# and-or C++/CLI)
Hi,
Through the housekeeping stuff my android application has to do is to read and write some files and sometimes to delete others and create new ones. The files in cause have all "sdcard/" as root. Is it safe if I perform all this task using Java style functions ?
To me it is very handy to do it this way but I've read that not always the java functions can be applied when it comes to files in Android.
Hi,
I'm writing a custom UITabBar replacement, and I would like to know how to recreate the filter that the built-in implementation does with the UITabBarItem image - that blue shining on selected tabs and gray gradient on unselected ones. I guess it's a matter of using the source image alpha value as a mask and overlay it with a pre-made blue (or whatever color) shining image and another one grayed out, but I would like to know what is the best approach from a code point of view.
Best,
Well, the rule "For money, always decimal" isn't applied inside the Microsoft development team, because if it was:
Namespace: Microsoft.VisualBasic
Assembly: Microsoft.VisualBasic (in Microsoft.VisualBasic.dll)
Financial.IPmt and all the other methods would receive/return decimal and not double as it is.
Now I wonder if I can use this methods without worry with round mistakes?
Should I use some other libraries to work with finances? If yes, could you point me some good ones (for C# use) ?
Thank you.
Hey!
Just got today these ones:
http://www.pearl.de/a-PE5858-1413.shtml
I want to start programming with these, but I can't find anything usable. I'm using Ubuntu Jaunty 9.04. The Problem is that I couldn't find much samples and modules etc. for my modell.
I have an XML based file format that I'm using to store and load instances of objects. I'm interested in adding some scripting support to those objects so that they can respond to events.
That said, I also don't want to cripple performance. Are there any well known scripting options for Android - maybe even ones where while loading, I can pre-compile and cache the scripts?
The "ternary operator" expression is now almost equivalent to the ternary conditional operator:
condition ? trueExpression : falseExpression;
However, "ternary operator" only means that it takes three arguments. I'm just curious, are there any languages with any other built-in ternary operators besides conditional operator and which ones?
Hi, can anyone tell me how can I create an image preview inside a customized cell with the aspect of the ones loaded in the mms'.
I've been trying to do it by changing values in IB and I haven't been able to.
Thanks a lot!
I've used Java for some time and I keep hearing about interfaces such as Cloneable, Iterable and other X-ables.
I was wondering if there is a list somewhere of all of these and more importantly - which ones do you regularly use day-to-day?
For example, I've read that Cloneable is considered badly written and isn't widely used.
I'm currently developing flash chat for social networking websites like facebook. Actually i want to develope flash chat in this game. Chat would have a lot of instant active users. So that, i need to know which flash servers i should use, is there any free ones that are pretty good for such high performance needs?
I've found ElectroServer4 Professional. Is it enough for my task?
Thank you
Hi,
I'm investigating the use of mono in real world high traffic web applications. There are some references on the mono site (companies using mono), but I couldn't find a high traffic website sample other than Deki powered ones. And I've read some mailings about mod_mono stability problems because of inexistence of compacting GC.
Please reference your app and give some info, if is there anyone using mono in production.
...or do I have to look at Java ?

I have a problem with some zombie-like processes on a certain server that need to be killed every now and then. How can I best identify the ones that have run for longer than an hour or so?
I wonder if the index.html MUST be in the "www" folder on the server after uploading the site?
This because I have actually made everything in a folder called "SV", so my site is located in : "www/SV/index.html"
My Q is, on the server, could I just create a folder named "SV" under "www" and expect index.html to be automatically displayed ones the users type in the web-adress to my site?
Thanks
Hello. Can anyone tell me how to get and display the biggest values from a database? I have multiple values in my database with the heading "gmd", but how would I get only the first 3 biggest ones to be displayed? How would I do it in this example:
$query = "SELECT gmd FROM account";
$result = mysql_query($query);
while($row = mysql_fetch_array($result, MYSQL_ASSOC))
{
}
Thanks.

I need inspiration and motivation so I'm trying to find examples of different programs that have interesting and attractive UI's created free using wxPython.
My searches have been slow to find results. I'm hoping you guys know of some of the best ones out there.
btw, I've seen these:
http://www.wxpython.org/screenshots.php
and the list under "Applications Developed with wxPython" on the wxPython Wikipedia page.
Update: only need Windows examples
GPL, MS-PL, LGPL, MIT, Creative Commons, etc.
There are a lot of licenses to your software and sources. I would like to know about that licenses (and another important ones), but on simple statements, like "free for non commercial use" or "source is free for modify but maintain the credits", etc.
Other than MongoDB and Memcached, what key-value stores run on Windows? Most of the ones I've seen seem to only run on Linux (Hypertable, Redis, Lightcloud).
