  • Hotkeys no longer work in Visual C# 2010 Express

    Suddenly none of hotkeys in C# Express work (like F5, F6 etc.). I don't know what I've done, but no doubt its something stupid. Does anyone know how to fixed this? I have tried the Keyboard settings in Options, but it won;t even let me add hotkeys for some reason, even once I've removed the old ones. So re-adding them does not work.

  • Prevent image cropping when making sprites from gif

    Hey guys I've tried several tools (imagemagic, gif2png, Nconverter) to extract frames to make sprites from a .gif image that i have. I get the .pngs just fine, but they'r not the same size, some are 50x65 some 43x65 some 50x70, Which really screws any attempts at a descent animation. So is there a way to prevent this cropping or programmatically add extra transparent space to smaller ones and make them all the same size? Thanks.

I've googled around and can't really find what kind of ones you can perform? Can anyone advise and preferably give some examples? I see a number of tutorials about doing this, but the ones I've seen don't have any input parameters going into the SP. My SP has several, and an output parameter as well.     How do I write a std::codecvt facet? I'd like to write ones that go from UTF-16 to UTF-8, which go from UTF-16 to the systems current code page (windows, so CP_ACP), and to the system's OEM codepage (windows, so CP_OEM). Cross-platform is preferred, but MSVC on Windows is fine too. Are there any kinds of tutorials or anything of that nature on how to correctly use this class?

    I am trying to get one of my developers set up to work on a fairly large .NETCF project. When we try to simply deploy the solution and all of its projects to a target device, deploying one of the projects triggers several assemblies from the desktop framework to be copied from the GAC to the device. What on earth could cause this? The assemblies from the "big" framework are ones like System.DirectoryServices, System.Design, and a bunch of others.

    I have a makefile that looks like this CXX = g++ -O2 -Wall all: code1 code2 code1: code1.cc utilities.cc $(CXX) $^ -o $@ code2: code2.cc utilities.cc $(CXX) $^ -o $@ What I want to do next is to include 'clean target' so that every time I run 'make' it will automatically delete the existing binary files of code1 and code2 before creating the new ones. I tried to put these lines at the very end of the makefile, but it doesn't work clean: rm -f $@ echo Clean done What's the right way to do it?

I haven't found any recent books like that, but I would expect that there were some good ones written in the 1970s and 1980s, when whole applications were still written in assembly. The architecture used should also be one of the cleaner designs, such as the 6502 or VAX.

Any recommendations? apparently there briefly used to be a Euro OSCON (2004-2006? what happened?) some good language/app-specific ones like EuroPython, EuroSciPy, DjangoCon European BarCamps seem kind of fragmented, esp. for an English-speaking audience anything bigger or better?     I'm writing a set of C# composite web server controls for displaying dialog boxes. I want to have one abstract class which handles the basic layout and things like titles of the control, then have a set of derived ones which render child controls at a specific point. I forsee three distincts methods: renderOpeningHtml handled by the abstract class, renderCustomControls as done by the derived class, and renderClosingHtml by the abstract class again, except I can't figure the life cycle of a CompositeControl and what methods to use when.

In such a setup importing becomes a problem since the order in which tables are imported is important (you have to import referenced tables before referencing ones).
