  I'm having trouble with a LINQ to SQL query getting the min value using Visual Basic. Here's the SQL: SELECT RC.AssetID, MIN(RC.RecCode) AS RecCode, JA.EngineerNote from JobAssetRecCode RC JOIN JobAssets JA ON JA.AssetID = RC.AssetID AND JA.JobID = RC.JobID WHERE RC.InspState = 2 AND RC.RecCode > 0 AND RC.JobID = @JobID GROUP BY RC.AssetID, JA.EngineerNote; I seem to be going around in circles here with grouping etc not managing to get it working. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

• C# What's the difference between Encoding.GetEncoding(1255) and Encoding.GetEncoding(1252)?

  Hi all, I have a C# form based program and have been using System.Text.Encoding.GetEncoding(1252) but I've had trouble reading non-English characters, I've discovered System.Text.Encoding.GetEncoding(1255) works however I don't know the implications of changing this so I'm hoping someone can shed some light on the difference and possible implications. • Using Shapefile data to determine neighborhood for a longitude/latitude

  I'm trying to determine the neighborhood for a location, based on Zillow's freely published Shapefile data. I don't really know anything about the Shapefile format, and am having some trouble finding tutorials online -- but I basically want to take latitude/longitude pairs, and run it against the Shapefile data to determine the corresponding neighborhood(s).   Hey guys Im having trouble with iAds in landscape mode This is part of my code: banner = [[ADBannerView alloc]init] ; banner.currentContentSizeIdentifier = ADBannerContentSizeIdentifier480x32; [self.view addSubview:banner]; [banner release]; But is not working for me, it gives me error, gives me a SIGABRT error in the second line of the code.   I am trying to use Runtime exec() to run a vba script with arguements. I am having trouble passing in the args. I think I need to use the String[] overloaded method for exec. Currently this works: String command = "cmd /c \"\\concat2.vbs\"" Process p = Runtime.getRuntime().exec(command); But I want to run that with arguments and if I do this String command = "cmd /c \"\\concat2.vbs\" " + arg1 + " " + arg2 where arg1 and arg2 are strings my program doesnt run (status = 1)

  Hi, I am working on a calculator that allows you to perform calculations past the decimal point in octal, hexadecimal, binary, and of course decimal. I am having trouble though finding a way to convert floating point decimal numbers to floating point hexadecimal, octal, binary and vice versa. The plan is to do all the math in decimal and then convert the result into the appropriate number system. Any help, ideas or examples would be appreciated. Thanks!

• Problem dismissing multiple modal view controllers

  I am having trouble getting my modal view controllers to display properly. I have a parent view controller that is the delegate for modal view A. In modal view A I am presenting modal view B, and having the delegate dimiss modal view A. When modal view B appears it seems to display but the screen dims, and the UI locks up, but the app doesn't crash. I set animation settings to NO and I am still getting the same issue.
