  The directory structure: C:/wamp/www/application/model/data_access/data_object.php C:/wamp/www/application/model/users/user.class.php C:/wamp/www/application/controller/projects.php C:/wamp/www/application/controller/links/links.php I have 2 php files data_object.php and user.class.php Now user.class.php has an include statement for data_object.php wchih is relative to user.class.php.These two files are under different directory hierarchy. Now I have to include this user.class.php in various files (like projects.php, links.php-which themselves are under different hierarchy) whenever i want to create a User() object. The problem is the relative path for file inclusion of data_object.php does work for say projects.php but if i open links.php the error message says it could not open file data_object.php in user.class.php. What i think is for relative inclusion of data_object.php it is considering the path of the file in which user.class.php is included. I am facing such problems in more than one scenarios I have to keep my directory structure the way it is but have to find a way to work with nested includes. I used Document root of session it give root path as C:/wamp/www/ i appended the path for data_object.php include but this is not working. (note: the forward slash is present after www) I am currently running on wamp server's localhost but after completion i have to host the solution on a domain. Pls help

• Strange unset cookie problem

  Hi there, I have a strange problem to clear Cookie via PHP. Lets say if I have a domain neobie.net I store "remember user login" cookie name as "USER_INFO" which contains string to identify user login in the next time of revisit. now using firefox, I saw that I have 2 cookies USER_INFO with domain "www.neobie.net" and ".neobie.net" with expiration date of 1 week later. I wrote a logout.php script, which clear the cookie of different domain (.neobie.net, www.neobie.net, neobie.net) to ensure that USER_INFO cookie is completely cleared for different domain. Now is the problem. The user isn't able to clear the cookie when user visit logout.php I found out that, I have to manually delete the cookie with domain "www.neobie.net", leaving the ".neobie.net " intact, then only the cookie can be cleared. So, I have to make the php script to setcookie USER_INFO on ".neobie.net", and prevent it to set cookie on "www.neobie.net" to make the logout.php script work. But I don't understand why I couldn't clear the cookie for "www.neobie.net" (with leading www. , tested on firefox and chrome)

• PHP Single Sign On (SSO) generating new session id

  I am trying to create a single sign on process. The method I have implemented makes use of storing session data in a database. When a new user comes to the website (www.example2.com) a table of authentication is checked. As this is their first visit to the website, there will be no match. The browser is redicted to the authentication server www.example1.com/authenticate.php?session_id=ABC123 where ABC123 represents the session id created on www.example2.com. THe session id which is then generated on www.example1.com is stored along side the session id using the parameter set in the URL. The user is then redirected back to the www.example2.com and a match of session ids should be found. This WAS working fine in FireFox but when I tried it in Chrome I noticed that the session id being generated when the browser is redirected back to www.example2.com is a new session id. As a result an infinite loop is created. This behaviour has not manifested itself in FireFox aswell. What is causing the new session id to be generated? More importantly, what can I do to stop it? Thanks in advance! EDIT I had a logically error that was causing an infinite loop. This now works fine again in FireFox but the infinite loop is still occuring in Chrome and Internet Explorer.

Example: www.sitename.com/online-products -> www.sitename.com/products.php?type=online www.sitename.com/about-the-website -> www.sitename.com/cms.php?id=about-the-website www.sitename.com/product-news -> www.sitename.com/product-news.php Also another issue I am facing is I can not use any keyword with space.   Where I work we do not have any internet connection. We still want to have validation and code completion when editing xml files. I have tried the instructions here http://www.helmers.nu/?p=276 However, I try the instructions, restarts eclipse, do reload dependencies. I still cannot get any code completion nor validation. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I have tried both with Eclipse Galileo and Helios. • IIS URL Rewrite rule - Default document for subdirectories

  I would like create URL rewrite rule that will set default document for my virtual folders. eg. someting like this www.domain.com/en/ -> www.domain.com/en/index.aspx www.domain.com/hr/ -> www.domain.com/hr/index.aspx www.domain.com/de/ -> www.domain.com/de/index.aspx directories en, hr, de doesn't really exists on web server they are just markers for languange used in site used by home grown http module that will rewrite path with query params. Quick solution was define rule for every single lang, something like this : <rewrite> <rewriteMaps> <rewriteMap name="Langs"> <add key="/en" value="/en/index.aspx" /> <add key="/hr" value="/hr/index.aspx" /> <add key="/de" value="/de/index.aspx" /> </rewriteMap> </rewriteMaps> <rules> But I would really like solution that would not require changes in web.config and adding rewrite rule for every languange used on particular site. Edit I know get a error in my actual xml file. I have this in my tag xmlns="http://www.domain.com" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:schemaLocation="http://www.Domain.com Schema.xsd Throws an exception on the root line saying there was a error with this stuff. • Why are Facebook Likes Insisting on using Wrong Product Image...?

  Firstly, I'm not a web developer so please be patient. I have read the other posts but I think i have everything covered. My website http://www.joaniesgifts.co.uk includes the like button on the product pages. However, I've found that certain product pages are using the incorrect image when a user likes the page. For example - http://www.joaniesgifts.co.uk/terramundi-money-pots/terramundi-money-pot-holiday-fund I think this may have been down to an original incorrect setup which is now corrected. However, the problem remains... The only thing I have to go on :- if i use the facebook url linter (developers.facebook.com/tools/debug) on the above product page, I receive the following error :- Object at URL 'http://www.joaniesgifts.co.uk/terramundi-money-pot-holiday-fund' of type '213689662010141:product' is invalid because the domain 'www.joaniesgifts.co.uk' is not allowed for the application id '213689662010141' which owns the specified object type. If you are the owner of this application, you can verify your configured 'Site Domain' at developers.facebook.com/apps/213689662010141. (I have verified my site's domain) Everything else appears fine except it is also showing the wrong image!! However, under Raw Open Graph Document Information it has the correct link! If I then click graph api - graph.facebook.com/10150450766583352 it again shows the wrong image was linked! I've no idea what else to do - can you help me? • Configure Django project in a subdirectory using mod_python. Admin not working.

  HI guys. I was trying to configure my django project in a subdirectory of the root, but didn't get things working.(LOcally it works perfect). I followed the django official django documentarion to deploy a project with mod_python. The real problem is that I am getting "Page not found" errors, whenever I try to go to the admin or any view of my apps. Here is my python.conf file located in /etc/httpd/conf.d/ in Fedora 7 LoadModule python_module modules/mod_python.so SetHandler python-program PythonHandler django.core.handlers.modpython SetEnv DJANGO_SETTINGS_MODULE mysite.settings PythonOption django.root /mysite PythonDebug On PythonPath "['/var/www/vhosts/mysite.com/httpdocs','/var/www/vhosts/mysite.com/httpdocs/mysite'] + sys.path" I know /var/www/ is not the best place to put my django project, but I just want to send a demo of my work in progress to my customer, later I will change the location. For example. If I go to www.domain.com/mysite/ I get the index view I configured in mysite.urls. • Advice for moving from custom domain hosted on blogspot to new custom domain on hosting provider [closed]

  Need some advice :) a) Facts: 1. Currently, we have a blog www.thebigbigsky.net hosted on blogspot.com. The site has been up for around a year and google had cached some of the posts. 2. The idea for setting up the blog was to promote/share articles/write-up about personal development and self-growth, and also to offer counseling services related to them. 3. There is another subdomain - chinese.thebigbigsky.net hosting similar blog posts but in Chinese. This is hosted on blogspot as well. b) What we want to do: 1. We did some research on the internet and understood that, to make a website more popular, it is better to have a domain name that is related to the content of the site. Hence, in our case, a domain name containing "personal development" would be more ideal and easier for people to remember. 2. Hence, we are thinking to move away from blogspot to a meaningful new domain (example: personaldevelopmentwithxyz.com) and move all contents there. The new domain will be hosted on a hosting provider e.g. hostgator.com c) Here are the steps we have in mind: 1. Register the new domain (example: personaldevelopmentwithxyz.com) 2. Get a hosting provider hostgator.com 3. Setup a new site based on Wordpress, import all contents from existing blog to this new site - personaldevelopmentwithxyz.com. 4. Switch current blog back to thebigbigsky.blogspot.com 5. Switch DNS of www.thebigbigsky.net to point to the new site on hostgator.com 6. On hostgator.com, setup permanent redirect 301 of www.thebigbigsky.net to point to personaldevelopmetnwithxyz.com by following the tutorial mentioned here - http://www.blogbloke.com/migrating-redirecting-blogger-wordpress-htaccess-apache-best-method/ Questions: 1. Will it have major impact on the current google pagerank or SEO of thebigbigsky.net? As the site is not that popular, we assumed that the impact would not be a major one. 2.   I need to sign my soap request to a 3rd party. The provided an example what the call should look like. And I am trying, rather unsuccessfully to make this call with wcf. I need to make a wcf soap call where the header contains BinarySecurityToken, Signature, and SecurityTokenReference. • How to override PHP configuration when running in CGI mode

  There are some tutorials out there telling me how to override PHP configuration when it is running in CGI mode. But I'm still confused because lots of them assume that the server is running on Linux. While I need to do that also in Windows. My hosting is indeed using Linux but my local development computer is using Windows XP with Xampp 1.7.3. So I need to do that in my local computer first, then I want to change the configuration on hosting server. The PHP in my hosting server is already run as CGI while in my local computer still run as Apache module. At this point, the processes that I understand are: Change PHP to work in CGI mode. I did this by commenting these two line in "httpd-xampp.conf": # LoadFile "C:/xampp/php/php5ts.dll" # LoadModule php5_module modules/php5apache2_2.dll Create "cgi-bin" directory in DocumentRoot. My DocumentRoot is in "D:\www\" (I'm using apache with virtual host). So it is now "D:\www\cgi-bin". Change the default "cgi-bin" directory settings from "C:/xampp/cgi-bin/" to "D:\www\cgi-bin": ScriptAlias /cgi-bin/ "D:/www/cgi-bin/" <Directory "D:\www\cgi-bin"> Options MultiViews Indexes SymLinksIfOwnerMatch Includes ExecCGI AllowOverride All Allow from All </Directory> At this point, my PHP is now running as CGI. I checked this with phpinfo(). It tells me that Server API is now CGI/FastCGI. Now I want to override php configuration. I copied 'php.ini' file to "D:\www\cgi-bin" and modify upload_max_filesize setting from 128M to 10M. Create 'php.cgi' file in "D:\www\cgi-bin" and put these code inside the file: #!/bin/sh /usr/local/cpanel/cgi-sys/php5 -c /home/user/public_html/cgi-bin/ That's it. I'm stuck at this point. All of tutorials tell me to create 'php.cgi' file and put shell code inside the file. How to do the 6th step on Windows? I know the next step is to create handler in .htaccess file to load that 'php.cgi'. And also, because I will also need to change PHP configuration on my hosting server (Linux), is the 6th step above right? Some tutorial tells to insert these line instead of above: #!/bin/sh export PHPRC=/site/ini/1 exec /cgi-bin/php5.cgi I'm sorry if my question is not clear.   I'm using an XML schema document to validate incoming data documents, however the schema appears be failing during compilation at run time because it refers to a complex type which part of an external schema. The external schema is specified in a element at the top of the document. I had thought it might be an access problem, so I moved a copy of the external document to a localhost folder. I get the same error, so now I'm wondering if there might be some sort of issue with the use of the element. I wondered if the # signs in the namespace definitions were causing a problem, but removing them had no effect, it just changed what the error looked like (i.e. "Type 'http://www.w3.org/2000/09/xmldsig:KeyInfoType' is not declared." versus "Type 'http://www.w3.org/2000/09/xmldsig#:KeyInfoType' is not declared.") My suspicion is that there's something about the processing of the element that I'm missing. Any suggestions are very welcome. Thanks!

They actually ask developers to use the API instead because the Web service is kinda messy, but this is a problem in my case because I cannot use this API on a Perl environment, so their solution for my specific case is to use the Web service. This shouldn't be a problem. Using SOAP::Lite I have connected to several Web services in the past in the same way. But the lack of documentation is a major chaos if you don't know where the SOAP calls can be made. I only have an XML to decipher where to and how to make these calls. It would be great if a real SOAP genius could help me out in this.
