• Using Silverlight with Existing Application

  This seems like a very basic question but I couldn't find any help on web. If you could provide some link or steps to do this. I have created few basic Silverlight applications which are working fine standalone. I also have a basic ASP.NET application with a solution with around 10 Class Library Projects and 1 website. I want to create a small popup which will have some funtionality using Silverlight. How should I go about creating this application and how to integrate it with my existing application for it to show as a link. I would not want that link to open another application/site. Thanks.

  I want to reload the page after the user swipe right to the next item in database (id will increment 1) but it is not functioning. • .NET grouping forms so that pulling up the primary form shows all other forms?

  I have an app that can open up some other forms at the user's request, and they're set to not show in the taskbar. The problem is, if one of the secondary windows becomes hidden by another app, switching to the primary window only brings that form to the forefront. Is there a good way to "group" the forms so that giving any of them focus brings the whole group to the front? I tried calling BringToFront() on each form in the primary form's Activated event, but that also gives the secondary forms focus, making it impossible to interact with the primary form.

  I'm pretty new to Java and SWT, hoping to have one image dissolve into the next. I have one image now in a Label (relevant code): Device dev = shell.getDisplay(); try { Image photo = new Image(dev, "photo.jpg"); } catch(Exception e) { } Label label = new Label(shell, SWT.IMAGE_JPEG); label.setImage(photo); Now I'd like photo to fade into a different image at a speed that I specify. Is this possible as set up here, or do I need to delve more into the org.eclipse.swt.graphics api? Also, this will be a slide show that may contain hundreds of photos, only ever moving forward (never back to a previous image)---considering this, is there something I explicitly need to do in order to remove the old images from memory? • Uploading files wont work on production server

  I have a php script which uploads images to a temporary folder on the server. This works on my local computer with the local (virtual) server. (wampserver). However, on the production server (linux) I cant get it working. Everything is loading as it should, except for that the file doesn't show up on the server. My Q is, is there anything I should think about when moving to a production server with uploading images or files? I have set permissions on the folder where the images are supposed to go to 777 and also the php-code which uploads them to 777. Thanks

As it works right now, if I hide a slider, it still runs in the background, the dom shows the images rotating and the url parameters change. • Content border not showing in any browser!

  I have been working on a project for a few days now and have just recently noticed that the border of 2 of my content areas are not showing in Mozilla or IE. http://www.gamefriction.com/Coded/ is where the page is located. If you look at the main content area where the "news" is you will see that there is a 1px solid border that is a slightly darker grey than the 4px border surrounding each content box. On the right column content the 1px solid #dfdfdf; border does not show. I can't seem to find any reason why this is not showing. Any ideas?

  Hi I have a grouped table with two sections where I display text with different length and therefore cell height. I have solved the problem with the different length/height with constrainedToSize in cellForRowAtIndexPath. Now I want to add a section with one single row in which I want to show a picture. How should I best implement that? (still a bit of a beginner with the Objective C) I would guess that I would have to create an UIImageView and somehow link that to the cell, but my biggest concern is how do I do with the dequeueReusableCellWithIdentifier now that I will have two different type of cells? Appreciate any advice that will help me save time from trial and error!

  hi, I've some objects on the canvas, and I added eventListeners to these objects for MOUSE_UP event. I'm know checking if it works by tracing e.target.name, and I found out that the event is triggered twice, before on the element container (Canvas) and then the element itself. • Why does this C++ char array seem to be able to hold more than its size?

It does not truncate at 5 characters. Why is that? How can I get this to work correctly?

  Here is a simple code that shows what I think is a bug when dealing with double numbers... double wtf = 36.76662445068359375000; id xxx = [NSDecimalNumber numberWithDouble: wtf]; NSString *myBug = [xxx stringValue]; NSLog(@"%.20f", wtf); NSLog(@"%@", myBug); NSLog(@"-------\n"); the terminal will show two different numbers 36.76662445068359375000 and 36.76662445068359168 Is this a bug or am I missing something? if the second number is being rounded, it is a very strange rounding btw...

  Some Questions about Android and Google Directions Service: Is there a native way on Android to use the Directions Service from Google or are there any nice Wrapper Frameworks? I would like to retrieve the time needed to get from A to B and maybe show the route in a table and/or map. As far as I know directions can only be retrieved for "walking" and "driving". Is there a way (maybe not from google) to get this Information also for public transports or "biking" ? Thx a lot for your help!

• Accessing Java Connector Architecture (JCA) from a Non-Managed environment

  Hi, We have been using a JCA to interface with a low-level network resource from within WebSphere, however we have a requirement to be able to access the same network resource externally from Tomcat (i.e. not in a managed environment). The network communication and protocol layouts is very verbose, so we would rather not copy/paste several thousand lines of code (and then have to maintain them separately). From reading the JCA spec, there is supposedly some support to execute the code in a non-managed environment (such as Tomcat). Unfortunately, I have no idea what the interfaces are supposed to do, or how to call them from outside a managed environment (the spec is pretty vague). Are there any implementation examples out there that show how to modify a JCA to be usable in a non-managed environment? Thanks!

• How do I view the parameters of currently running procs in SQL Server 2008

  I am trying to troubleshoot an issue that is popping up on our new SQL Server. While viewing the running processes (sp_who2) I can't tell what parameters a proc was started with. I can find the name of the proc using: DBCC INPUTBUFFER (spid) I can even find some additional info, but I can't see a way to show the parameters. (http://sqlserverpedia.com/blog/sql-server-bloggers/sql-server-%E2%80%93-get-last-running-query-based-on-spid/) I know I can see the parameters if I do a trace, but that doesn't help in this case.

• best way to use CoreLocation across multiple views

  I have two views in my app, one is a general view where CoreLocation works away calculating the users location while the user is doing other stuff in the view. The second view is accessed by the user when they touch a button allowing them to locate themselves more accurately using a mapview and MapKit, i would like the mapview in this view to show the location that CoreLocation has already identified in the first view AND to continue displaying this location based on updates from CoreLocation in the other view. Is the best way here to create a singleton that encapsulates the CoreLocation stuff and have this referenced in the view with the map, or to use notifications ? or to use some other better practice for my scenario ? It happens when connection with MySQL is lost during query. I need to handle this exception so I can show 500 error page so the crawlers do not cache page, and to redirect user to appropriate "Try again" page. P.S. I have a lot's of code, so I can not go trough all code to put try/catch block. I need something simple and yet effective.

  I have /path/to/my/theme/static/css/frontend.css which is called by base.html <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="{{ STATIC_URL }}css/frontend.css" media="all" /> In which I've got a background for the header: #header-wrapper min-width: 960px; height: 150px; background: transparent url(img/header-bg.png) repeat-x center bottom; } The file is /path/to/my/theme/static/img I've run manage.py collectstatic to gather the files and almost everything looks correct except the link generated looks like: http://example.com/static/css/img/header-bg.png In which the image does not show, because the correct URL is: http://example.com/static/img/header-bg.png Where am I going wrong??
