• Telerik Object reference not set to an instance of an object

  Hi, I have a main form which contains multiple worker threads. These threads raise events which update Telerik controls on the main form. The event handlers contain code which check if InvokeRequired and BeginInvoke where required. At random interval I am receiving the following exception, and have no idea on how where to find this? I was wondering if the following is understandable to anyone to point me in the right direction. • Maven freezes while perfoming scm:update on VSS

  Im trying to get source files from VSS using Maven. But when I execute command mvn -DvssDirectory="C:\Program Files\VisualSourceSafe\win32" scm:update the log goes to [INFO] [scm:update {execution: default-cli}] [INFO] Executing: cmd.exe /X /C ""C:\Program Files\VisualSourceSafe\win32\ss" Get $/TEST -R -I- -GWS" [INFO] Working directory: C:\temp\test and then nothing happens. No error, no success. Can someone advice how to proceed with downloading sources from VSS?

  Hello, I'm getting the error "Invalid URI: The format of the URI could not be determined" when customizing it. I've made several changes to the configuration files and UI, but I keep getting this error. It isn't logging it too in the event log nor the log files, which makes it very annoying to debug. So how do I figure out where the error is coming from? Is it with the URL that's pointing to the ReportServer2005.asmx file, or something else? • WebClient error when using a thread in .NET

  I'm having a very weird error using the WebClient class in .NET 4. The app simply downloads some files off the internet and provides output on a textbox (the GUI is WPF). The method that does this is the following: void DownloadFiles(object files) { fileL = (List<string>) files; foreach (string url in fileL) { byte[] data; using (System.Net.WebClient k = new WebClient()) { data = k.DownloadData(url); } //Bunch of irrelevant code goes here... } } (I added the using while trying to divine [yes I'm that desperate/ignorant] a solution, the problem happens even if the webclient is declared and initialized outside the foreach loop) Now the problem appears only when I'm executing this method on a thread separate from the WPF UI main thread. If it is executed on the UI thread then it works perfectly. When a new thread is created with: Thread t = new Thread(DownloadFiles); t.Start(files); The first time the code goes into the loop it will work, but when its the second pass inside the loop, I will always receive a TargetParameterCountException. • Different Azure blob streams when using .Net client vs. REST interface

  I have encountered an unusual difference in the way that the .Net client for Azure and the direct REST API bring back streams of binary data. If I use the CloundBlob.DownloadToStream() vs. getting the response stream from the HTTP response, I get streams with the same length, but different content. Specifically the REST response seems to 0 out a series of bytes. I've discovered this issue because I'm trying to use the byte range feature for blobs which is currently not supported in the .Net client (if I'm wrong on this point and someone can point at where I can do this it might make the rest of this question irrelevant). • Reading a POP3 server with only TcpClient and StreamWriter/StreamReader[SOLVED]

  I'm trying to read mails from my live.com account, via the POP3 protocol. I've found the the server is pop3.live.com and the port if 995. I'm not planning on using a pre-made library, I'm using NetworkStream and StreamReader/StreamWriter for the job. I need to figure this out. So, any of the answers given here: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/44383/reading-email-using-pop3-in-c are not usefull. It's part of a larger program, but I made a small test to see if it works. Eitherway, i'm not getting anything. Here's the code I'm using, which I think should be correct. If it is executed on the UI thread then it works perfectly. When a new thread is created with: Thread t = new Thread(DownloadFiles); t.Start(files); The first time the code goes into the loop it will work, but when its the second pass inside the loop, I will always receive a TargetParameterCountException. Any thoughts? I have re installed glassfish and NetBeans but it all seems the same. I think this started happening after I had to force-restart my computer with NetBeans stil open and the app deployed, but it's hard to know for sure if this was the real catalyst. Any thoughts or help is appreciated thanks. Is it an app error? if so why no errors in the log are shown?

• Sharing cookies/session from WebView to HttpClient doesn't work

  I know this question has been asked a hundred times, and I've read and tried for 2 hours now, but I can't find my error :-( I am trying to create a simple webbrowser and therefore have a webview, where I login on a site and get access to a picture area. With help of a DefaultHttpClient, I want to make it possible to download pictures in the secured area. Therefore I am trying to share the cookies from the webview and pass them on to the HttpClient, so that it is authenticated and able to download. But whatever I try and do, I always get a 403 response back... When I manually say cookieManager.getCookie("www.example.com"); I get some cookies back, which I add to the HttpClient cookie store: There are 5 cookies added - testcookie = 0 - PHPSESSID = 320947238someGibberishSessionId - email = [email protected] - pass = 32423te32someEncodedPassGibberish - user = 345542 So although these cookies, a session ID and other stuff, get added to the HttpClient, it never get's through to download an image. Im totally lost... though I guess that it either has something to do with the cookies domains, or that Im still missing other cookies. But from where the heck should I know which cookies exist in the webview, when I have to specify a specific URL to get a cookie back?? :-( Any advice?

• Why is Html.DropDownList() producing <select name="original_name.name"> instead of just <select name

  I have an editor template whose job is to take a SelectList as its model and build a select element in html using the Html.DropDownList() helper extension. I'm trying to assign the name attribute for the select based on a ModelMetadata property. (Reason: on post-back, I need to bind to an object that has a different property name for this item than the ViewModel used to populate the form.) The problem I'm running into is that DropDownList() is appending the name I'm providing instead of replacing it, so I end up with names like categories.category instead of category. Here is some code for you to look at... And no exceptions are thrown). And the really strange thing is that this works perfectly in other cases (uploading Power Points or even other images from the Worker role). The code that calls the SetContent method seems to be exactly the same and file seems to be correct since a new file with zero bytes is created at the correct location. Does any one have any suggestion please? I debugged this code dozens of times and I cannot see the problem. Any suggestions are welcome! Thanks

  So i am trying to do this Order.find :all, :conditions => "org = 'test org'" what ends up firing is SELECT * FROM `orders` WHERE (org = 'test org') the whitespace in the argument gets stripped. what am i missing.. im really stumped here. please help!

• Is there a way to simulate a remote AMF call with WCAT?

  I managed to use WCAT to test an url for an aspx page getting an asset. Now I would like to use it to test a remote call to WebORB from Flex. Problem is I don't know what to put in RequestData, RequestHeader, ... If I look with Charles (HTTP Monitor), then it's impossible to copy paste the request data (it has squares and all kind of weird characters that can't be copy paste to my txt file).
