• Facebook Iframe App with multiple pages in Safari Session Variables not persisting

  I have a facebook Iframe application with multiple PHP pages in it. I have some links that point relatively to the files inside my "iframe folder". Having some issues with session variables inside the iframe. I set some session variables but they do not persist from one page to another. This does work on other browsers. I've been reading that Safari does not support Cross-Domain cookies and this might be the problem , but im not sure how to fix this. Any help?

  I've been reading a few gaming books. And they always prefer to create the engine as a static library over dynamic link. I am new to c++ so I am not highly knowledge when it comes to static libraries and dynamic link libraries. All I know is static libraries increase the size of your program, where DLL link libraries are loaded as you need them within your program. [edit] I've played games where it almost seemed they used DLL's to load in sound, lighting, and what not all individually. as the level was loading up. cause you don't necessarily need that when your at the game menu.

• AJAX binds jquery events multiple times

  Hi... I have a masterpage setup, with a pageLoad in the topmost masterpage, which calls pageLoad2 for nested masterpages which calls pageLoad3 for content pages. In my content page I have a jquery click event and in my nested masterpage I have a web user control. Whenever I use the user control in the nested masterpage, it rebinds the click event in the content page (undoubtedly because the pageLoad3 is called again), but this makes the click event fire twice on a single click. The problem gets worse the higher up masterpages you go (eg. fires 3 times if user control from topmost masterpage is called). Can anyone tell me how to make sure it only binds the jquery events once?

  I have got an application that is not compatible to work using IE8 browser. I am looking for a way to to configure Tomcat on which this application run, so the pages could be read by IE8 and treated as if they are IE7 or IE6 By googling so far I found a possible suggestion which say to add to the http response the header: X-UA-Compatible: IE=EmulateIE7 here that tell IE8 to be like IE7. The problem is that this way requires adding a filter that should be added on application level. I'd like to know if any of you is familiar with a more generic way that Tomcat enables to send its http content to be IE7 (or IE6) compatible ?

• flash dynamic textfield, multiline and wordwrap acting funky.

  I have this weird thing happening with flash and a dynamic textfield. Basically, someone rolls over a marker on a map, and a tooltip pops up with a dynamic textfield. The textfield is set to multiline=true and wordwrap = true, and I defined a specific width of 160 pixels. The problem is, some of my text is jumping to the next line, some of it is just getting cut off. So if I have a line like "The Cat Jumped Over the Box", On one line I will see "The Cat Jumped" and on the next line I would see "the Box". It looks like it is masking out the "over" line and not pushing it to the next line. It's not doing this for everything, just some longer lines. This is a really weird bug and I have tried for 8 hours to get this fixed. Has anyone ran into this problem before?

  Hello All, I am very new to ASP.NET MVC and currently, I am involved in developing a new application in ASP.NET MVC 2. I am having problem in managing a long querystring parameters that comes from dBase. For example, in any non-mvc app the following URL works well: http ://example.com/test.aspx?first_name=fname&last_name=lname&email_id=email&address1=add1&address2=add2&city=city&state=state&zip_code=zip and so on. The QueryString parameter can be determined on the fly (i.e. at run-time). Now for dynamic QueryString how routing will be done? Also for a simple URL, the URL will be as follows (in ASP.NET MVC): http ://example.com/test/id/category But for above mentioned dynamic & long QueryString how the URL will look like?   Hi! Im trying to implement a UIScrollView including multiple images, using paginate. The problem is that I want more then one page to be visible in the UIScrollView, but only one page should be selected. I found several solutions in which you handle touch down/up (touchesBegan and touchesEnded) myself and scrollRectToVisible, but I want to avoid this if possible. A sample solution for that can be found at: http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=634462 I dont get why its so easy if you only need to display one page at a time in the UIScrollView , but seems really hard if you want to show more pages.   I am trying to run a live Zen Cart store (version 1.3.8) on a my local machine which is PHP 5.3. I am aware of the incompatibilities between both versions and have dealt with it by applying the patch found here: http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showthread.php?t=140960 I am able to login the admin side no problem, but when i navigate to the store - all i see are blank pages. How can I fix this issue? I'm hoping there is a fix elsewhere. Trying not to revert to an older PHP installation.

The problem here is that in Safari the links are not working at all. What happens when you click on a link is that the whole page (parent AND iframe) gets loaded inside the iframe. In this scenario I need to be able to handle the exception (if possible) in the ASP page. • Restrict RDP port based on a Dynamic DNS

  Hi All, I want to set a restriction on my firewall (windows firewall on windows 2008) to only allow connections from a certain dynamic DNS. Is this possible? The reason I ask is that this would allow us to just change the IP on the dynamic DNS if our IP changes and means we won't get locked out of RDP. This also allows me to RDP in from other locations that have IP's that are not static by just changing the IP against the DNS. Any ideas. Thanks in advance.

• Random blank pages on Safari when developing webapp

  Hey guys, I've been experiencing a safari problem while building a web application. The screen goes completely blank (white) and refreshing won't help. Going to another page on the site gives the same problem. Then magically, after a little while, everything goes back to normal and pages are rendered correctly! This started happening around the same time that I SUSPECT my hosting automatically upgraded from PHP 5.2.x to 5.3 (all of a sudden, we got 'deprecated function' errors and the error settings and handling were unchanged) I also have to mention that this doesn't happen in our dev environment (PHP 5.2.9, Apache 2) Settings Safari 4.0.2 and the latest one (don't know the version) Server side: PHP 5.3, MySQL 5.0.90, Apache is cPanel Easy Apache v3.2.0 Does anyone know why this is happening at all, or how to fix it? I appreciate any help or pointers you might have. Thanks!

I kind of get the feeling it's a translation between a given 8 bit value and some 'abstraction' for a given character graphic. I made the following experiment. I created a "" character literal with two versions of the letter u with an umlaut. One created using the ALT 129 (uses code page 437) value and one using the ALT 0252 (uses code page 1252) value. When I examined the literal both characters had the value 252. Is 252 the universal 8 bit abstraction for u with an umlaut? Is it the Unicode value? Aside from keyboard input are there any library routines or system calls that use code pages? For example is there a function to translate a string using a given code table (as above for the ALT 129 value)?

  Hi Google Chrome version (8.0.552.224 (Official Build 68599)) I have developed a web site using asp.net mvc and jquery. it uses a lot of ajax. I noticed that occasionally a web page does not complete loading all files from the server. Browsing through forums It seems that this also happens to other people. Looking in to the Chromium Net-Internals ( type: chrome://net-internals/ as a url in the chrome browser ) I noticed that the pages do not complete loading if a NETWORK_IP_ADDRESSES_CHANGED event occurred. Any files that were not fetched from the server before the time of the NETWORK_IP_ADDRESSES_CHANGED event failed to arrive with error (-3) Do you know why the NETWORK_IP_ADDRESSES_CHANGED event occurs? I've just learned of a new way using the tag. <object type="text/html" frameborder="0" data="http://Server/URL/"></object> I have found some content online that confirms this ability, but it doesn't talk much about features such as Accessibility and SEO of the page. Currently I have tried assigning this content to a div and pulling on the innerhtml of that div like: new Ext.Window({ height: 50, width: 160, x: 0, y: 30, layout: "fit", html: document.getElementById('output').innerHTML; }).show(); Am using jquery & getjson to get the dynamic data. But that does nothing at all. Has anyone done something similar before? Can I give the html of the window an id and use it like an element?

• Problem including dynamic image in Eclipse BIRT 2.5.0 report on Windows

  I have a BIRT 2.5.0 report design with a dynamic image (URL is specified through report parameter, image formats tried - .png, .bmp). When running the report from our application on Ubuntu, everything renders OK. When doing exactly the same thing on Windows, there's following message instead of the actual image: Current report item is not supported in this report format. Same problem occurs when including image with a fixed URL - even though the image is displayed and loaded in the Report Designer, it's not rendered in report generated from our application. Again, this happens only on Windows. The only way I managed to get the image into a rendered report was through embedding it into the report design file, which is not suitable as the image has to be dynamic.

So I when I click on some of the buttons I have to collect the data from the input fields and do something with the data. If I click BUTTON1 I collect data from inputField1 inputField2 inputField3 BUTTON2 inputField4 inputField5, etc. Probably I should create the input fields programmatically and group them in forms. Any idea how to do it? Any idea?
