  • Is dependency injection possible for JSP beans?

    This may be a long shot question.. I am working on an application that is based on JSP/Javascript only (without a Web framework!) Is there a way to have depencency injection for JSP beans? By jsp beans I mean beans defined like this <jsp:useBean id="cart" scope="session" class="session.Carts" /> Is there a way/library/hack to intercept the bean creation so that when "cart" is referenced for the first time, some some of injection takes place? Can I define somewhere a "listener" for JSP beans (like you can do for JSF beans for example)? I am free to do anything I want in the back-end, but I cannot add a web framework in the front-end (Don't ask!)

Or what does 'Num a =' mean? Is it that mys would only take Num type? So anyways, a) I got [a] - [a] I think because it would just take a list and return it +2'd according to my definition of mys b) (a - b) - [a] - [b] I think because map still needs take both arguments like (*3) and a list then returns [a] which goes to mys and returns [b] c) I'm not sure how to do this 1. d) I'm not sure how to do this 1 either but map.mys means do mys first then map right?     Hi all. I was wondering if one can do the following: We have: X is a product of N-primes, thus I assume unique. C is a constant. We can assure that C is a number that is part of the N-primes or not. Whichever will work best. Thus: X mod C = Z We have Z and C and we know that X was a product of N-primes, where N is restricted lets say first 100 primes. Is there anyway we can get back X?

  • possible to recreate xml out of ActionScript?

    Hi, I got stuck with an SWF which has ActionScript in it and should use some xml. The problem is, I cannot edit the SWF by decompiling it and compile it again, it simply doesn't work... Adobe Flash CS4 rebuilds the thing, but after I press CTRL+ENTER I get a lot of runtime errors (probably something to do with AS <- AS2 <- AS3 and don't know how to fix that). So the question is: can I reconstruct how the xml should look like? I am able to view all the actionscript code with Flash Decompiler Gold and ain't gettin much smarter. Maybe I could post the code if someone desire it. thanks

    We are working to reduce the latency and increase the performance of a process written in Java that consumes data (xml strings) from a socket via the readLine() method of the BufferedReader class. The data is delimited by the end of line separater (\n), and each line can be of a variable length (6KBits - 32KBits). Our code looks like: Socket sock = connection; InputStream in = sock.getInputStream(); BufferedReader inputReader = new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(in)); ... do { String input = inputReader.readLine(); // Executor call to parse the input thread in a seperate thread }while(true) So I have a couple of questions: Will the inputReader.readLine() method return as soon as it hits the \n character or will it wait till the buffer is full? Is there a faster of picking up data from the socket than using a BufferedReader? What happens when the size of the input string is smaller than the size of the Socket's receive buffer? What happens when the size of the input string is bigger than the size of the Socket's receive buffer? I am getting to grips (slowly) with Java's IO libraries, so any pointers are much appreciated.     I am using following code to resize the image. Resize a UIImage Right Way And I use interpolation quality as kCGInterpolationLow. And then I use UIImageJPEGRepresentation(image,0.0) to get the NSData of that image. Still its a little bit high in size around 100kb. when I send it over the network. Can I reduce it further. The trivial process here, check the sources for a regular interval and save the update to database.     Hi I have an Eclipse CDT enviroment up and running and customised just the way I like it. I'm also going to be heavily dealing with java soon and I don't want to install a seperate version of Eclipse just to get the java features as I'll be switching between C-C++-ADA-Java quite often so I'd wont the one IDE to support all languages. At the moment I've got C/C++ and Ada working together (CDT + GNAT workbench). How can I get the Eclipse Java IDE with out installing eclipse from scratch again. Thanks

  • .NET Framework - Possible memory-leaky classes?

    Just the other day I was investigating a memory leak that was ballooning the app from ~50MB to ~130MB in under two minutes. Turns out that the problem was with the ConcurrentQueue class. Internally, the class stores a linked list of arrays. When an item is dequeued from the ConcurrentQueue, the index in the array is bumped, but the item remains in the array (i.e. it's not set to null). The entire array node is dropped after enough enqueues/dequeues, so it's not technically a leak, but if storing only a few large objects in the ConcurrentQueue, this can get out of hand fast. The documentation makes no note of this danger. I was wondering what other potential memory pitfalls are in the Base Class Library? I know about the Substring one (that is, if you call substring and just hold onto the result, the whole string will still be in memory). Any others you've encountered?

What the heck?   • Apache module, is it possible to have asynchronous processing

    Hi, I have a requirement where I need to send continous updates to my clients. Client is browser in this case. We have some data which updates every sec, so once client connects to our server, we maintain a persistent connection and keep pushing data to the client. I am looking for suggestions of this implementation at the server end. Basically what I need is this: 1. client connects to server. I maintain the socket and metadata about the socket. metadata contains what updates need to be send to this client 2. server process now waits for new client connections 3. One other process will have the list of all the sockets opened and will go through each of them and send the updates if required. Can we do something like this in apache module: 1. apache process gets the new connection. It maintains the state for the connection. It keeps the state in some global memory and returns back to root process to signify that it is done so that it can accept the new connection 2. the apache process though has returned the status to root process but it is also executing parallely where it going through its global store and sending updates to the client, if any. So can a apache process do these things: 1. Have more than one connection associated with it 2. Asynchronously waiting for new connection and at the same time processing the previous connections? How can i set the MC _alpha to 0 for all instances without adding it manually to each instance or setting it in the properties? edit: or creating a class for it just to set the alpha.

  • Is it possible to use flashvars with JBoss?

    Hi, I'm part of a team developing a product using JSF 2.0 and I was asked to investigate the possibility of including FusionCharts free in the app. I have tried different ways of inserting a simple chart in a JSF page but with no luck. On of the methods involves using the elements OBJECT and EMBED but hhen I try to use them I get a "null source" error from JBoss. From what I could find online (through Google), I am under the impression that 'flashvars' isn't quite compatible with JBoss. Is anyone here able to confirm this? If this is the case, what workaround would you suggest me? Other ways I also found online didn't show the chart not even an error message. Thanks in advance.

    Basically I'm trying to proxy some webservices locally (for reasons I won't go into now) and then have a Java application call it. I'm looking at BlazeDS since it seems to do just this, mostly to avoid the crossDomain.xml file required by Flex to call webservices. However I can't seem to find any reference on how to connect through a Java client (probably using Axis2). Any suggestions, and especially tutorials, would be greatly appreciated.

  • Are multiline tooltips possible using CWnd::EnableTooltips()?

    I'm attempting to make my tooltips multiline, but I don't seem to be having much luck with it. I call CWnd::EnableTooltips() directly after creation (in this case, an edit box) and I handle the TTN_NEEDTEXT message. My tooltips display correctly, but only display as a single line. I've tried adding '\n' to the string I pass when handling TTN_NEEDTEXT, and also tried '\r\n'. No luck. It just displays them as normal text in the tooltip string. I then tried manually inserting 0x0D0A, but this just displays as boxes. I've been digging a bit, and have found a few offhand references on the web saying that multiline behavior may not work when using tooltips through the CWnd functions. I'd prefer not to have to replace with CToolTipCtrl (since it's a rather large project). Has anyone ran into this before? If so, is there any way around it?
