  • Android MapView: Disable auto zoom

    Hi. I have made an Android app that shows a MapView with two overlays, one MyLocationOverlay and one custom overlay. I am programmatically zooming and panning to what I want the map to show. It also auto pans to my current location. The auto pan is moving the map away from what I want to show. So my question is simply: How can I disable the auto pan? Thanks, Ola

    Hi I found out that my application causes some errors which are logged in an Event log. It states: NET Runtime 2.0 Error EventType clr20r3, P1 *****.exe, P2 1.0.0.0, P3 4b2a572f, P4 system.web.services, P5 2.0.0.0, P6 4889df18, P7 bc, P8 65, P9 system.net.webexception, P10 NIL. How can I find out what's going on? I've tried that app locally and everything works fine.

    I have a problem. The thing is that I am using Visual Studio 2005 and .Net Framework 3.5 sp1. I have created the app and I want to have the .Net Framework prerequisite installed before however I can only select 2.0 . This wont go well since some columns in some of my grids will be arranged differently along with other problems. Is there any add-ins or something I can use to included .Net Framework 3.5 sp1 in my prerequisite list?

    Hey all, I'm working my way through APress's Beginning Android 2 and I've made it all the way to chapter 3, where we build a skeleton app. The book tells me to compile my application by typing "ant" in the command line, but my pc doesn't know what "ant" is yet. I checked in the SDK files and it looks like it wasn't included with the Android SDK. Does anybody know where ant is? Thanks

  • Starting inets/httpd with custom application

    I've got a module that I'm attempting to turn into a proper OTP application. Currently, the module has start/0 which starts a genserver which supplies configuration data read from a config file. It then calls inets:start(httpd,config:lookup(httpd_conf)). I gather that I need to move the starting of these out into the .app file's (application list) but I'm not sure how to get my config data into the inets:start function (or pass in httpd)?   • Android popup style activity which sits on top of any other apps

    What I want to create is a popup style application. I have a service in the background - something arrives on the queue and i want an activity to start to inform the user - very very similar to the functionality of SMSPopup app. So I have the code where something arrives on the queue and it calls my activity. However for some reason the activity always shows on top of the originally started activity instead of just appearing on the main desktop of the android device. As an example: I have the main activity which is shown when the application is run I have the service which checks queue I have a popup activity. When i start the main activity it starts the service - I can now close this. I then have something on the queue and it creates the popup activity which launches the main activity with the popup on top of it :S How do I stop this and have it behave as i want...   • iPhone: how to make key click sound for custom keypad?

    Is there a way to programmatically invoke the keypad "click" sound? My app has a custom keypad (built out of UIButtons) and I'd like to provide some audio feedback when the user taps on the keys. I tried creating my own sounds in Garageband, but wasn't happy with any of my creations. If there isn't a standard way to invoke the key click, can anyone point me to a library of sounds that might have such a gem?

    I am having problems with conflicting versions of Ruby that I have installed. I had 1.8.6 and then installed 1.8.7 and it has caused problems. I get the following error when trying to run my ruby on rails app: /usr/local/lib/ruby/1.8/i686-linux/rbconfig.rb:7: ruby lib version (1.8.6) doesn't match executable version (1.8.7) (RuntimeError) I would like to remove 1.8.7 somehow and just use 1.8.6 but have no idea how to go about doing this.

  • Pull dynamic string out of embedded RESX

    I have a RESX resource file that I can retrieve the values out of using the strongly typed properties and assign to values in my Silverlight 3 app. However at runtime I need to generate the lookup key based on some values to avoid a ton of if/switch statements. I'm trying to use the ResourceManager, but it doesn't like .resx files. Searched far and wide... is this just not possible in SL3? Does anyone have another suggestion?

  • How can I parse raw email source and extract the HTML part?

    In my iPhone app, I'm handed the raw source of an email, in RFC822 (or "eml") format. I'd like the HTML part of this message (if one exists). Rather than attempting to parse it out myself and converting escape chars and so on, I thought I'd check to see if anyone knows of an objective-c library to do this for me. In .NET, I've always used the Mailbee classes for anything email related, but I can't seem to find anything similar for cocoa.
