  Hi, I am looking for ideas for how I can stop external scripts connecting with my site. I'm looking for the same kind of idea behind Google. As in if a certain amount of requests are made per a certain amount of time then block the IP address or something. I thought there maybe a htaccess solution if not, I will write a PHP one.   I installed emacs 23.3.1 in c:/emacs-23.3. Following the hints in this page, I updated the site-start.el to set HOME environment variable. (setenv "HOME" "c:/users/USER/emacs") And I made c:/users/USER/.emacs (like I did in unix/mac) to write the code for using slime, but it doesn't seem to start slime correctly. Is this a correct way of setting emacs in Windows 7? Where do I put the .emacs file?

  We've got our ETags and expiry headers setup properly and when browsing around the site without posting it is really very snappy. However, after any POST (which is almost invariably followed with a 302) you can see the browser re-request all the images. Is there something that could be causing this? Is there a setting that handles this?

  I'm in the process of creating an SSIS package on a server (server1) that looks at the data in a sql db on another site (server2) and copies relevant rows across. The SQL statement required is: SELECT * FROM server2.ordersTable WHERE OrderID Not In (SELECT OrderID FROM server1.ordersTable This selects data from server1 which isn't in the table on server2 (based on order id) I then need to insert the result into a table on server1 How would I approach this? What components do I need etc...?

  Hi all, The url structure of my cakephp based site is mysite/cakephp/myapp/index.php/controller/action/input_paramaters I cannot remove index.php from my url, as I dont have access to httpd.conf file.   I am having trouble installing the latest version of IE namely version 8.0.6001.18702. I downloaded the install from Microsoft but when the install is completed, the version number is reported as IE 8.0.6001.18702IC. This version does not work on all web applications and I need to get the correct final version installed. The problem is compounded by the installation downloading any updates from the Microsoft site so that there is no real control over the final version you get. Any ideas?
