• JQuery multiple id index with form submit

  Hi folks, not sure how to do this as ID's are ment to be unique but this is a dynamically series of forms generated from a php array - based on reading the file names in a directory - with the same ID. What I need to do is identify which form so the data can be processed. • Get element id on hover (or mouseover)

  Still getting to grips with jQuery and I am pleased to have got as far as I have, especially help from the posts in this forum. However, now got to a working function that does what I want, that is to create a radio group that looks like a button. It pulls data via json and loops through creating the radio buttons. • table column accepting "0" as a member Id

  I have two tables one is members table with columns member id , member first name, member last name. I have another table guest passes with columns guest pass id and member id and issue date . I have a list view that will displays guest passes details (I.e) like member name and issue date and I have two text boxes those are for entering member name and issue date . member name text box is auto complete text box that working fine.... but the problem is when I am entering the name that is not in member table at this time it will accept and displays a blank field in list view in member name column and member id is stored as "0" in guest pass table ...... • get the right id of a record in database in each click on the edit button

  hi every one, i am facing a big problem right now. I have a html table in each row i have a button called edit allowing user to relod the form with parameter that he has selected. for this i define a hidden type to get the id of the record in database to access to various colonne and to refresh the form with those parameters. My challenge now is how to get the right id in every click on the edit button to let me after to get the right record and to update it in the data base. • Associate activity with database ID

  I have a main ListView that is based on an adapter from my database. Each database id is "assigned" to an Activity via the ListView. And in my AndroidManifest, each activity has an intent filter with a custom action. Now with this, I have had to create this class: public final class ActivityLauncher { private ActivityLauncher() { } public static void launch(Context c, int id) { switch(id) { case 1: Intent intent = new Intent(); intent.setAction(SomeActivity.ACTION_SOMEACTIVITY); c.startActivity(intent); break; case 2: ... break; ... } } private static void st(Context context, String action) { Intent intent = new Intent(); intent.setAction(action); context.startActivity(intent); } } So I have to manually create a new case for the switch statement. This would get troublesome if I have to rearrange or delete an id. Is there any way to get around this?

• DirectAccess client can't connect

  I've set up a DirectAccess server on Windows Server 2012 at my workplace. I'm using a Windows 8 Enterprise client to connect to it. It works fine over a mobile connection, but it fails when connecting from home. I've ruled out the firewall/router as the culprit as the issues persist when connecting the laptop directly to the cable modem. I'm not sure where to begin to debug this, does anyone have any pointers? Both Teredo and IPHTTPS interfaces are up (although as the server is behind a NAT and we only have 1 public IP I understand that IPHTTPS is the only protocol that will be used). The IPHTTPS tunnel also seems to be connected: netsh interface httpstunnel show interfaces Interface IPHTTPSInterface (Group Policy) Parameters ------------------------------------------------------------ Role : client URL : https://redacted:443/IPHTTPS Last Error Code : 0x0 Interface Status : IPHTTPS interface active however the DirectAccess link can't be activated - get-daconnectionstatus cycles between Status : Error Substatus : CouldNotContactDirectAccessServer and Status : Error Substatus : RemoteNetworkAuthenticationFailure Any suggestions on how to attack this are appreciated!

• Can't add client machine to windows server 2008 domain controller

  A bit of background before I dive into the gritty details: I have a single server running Windows 2003 Server where I host my ASP.net website and SQL Server + Reports. I've been creating ordinary windows user accounts to authenticate my users, and I enabled integrated windows authentication with impersonation. I've set up a bunch of user groups which correspond to certain roles (admin, power user, normal user, etc) and I test membership to enable or disable certain features. Overall, I'm pretty happy with the solution, it was quick to setup and I don't have to worry about messing around storing passwords and whatnot. Well, what I'm trying to do now is set up a new environment with 3 servers (Web, SQL, Reports) and I'd like these three servers to share common user accounts. I understand that I could add these three machines to a domain, which means installing Active Directory on one of the machines. I am barking up the wrong tree here? Would you suggest an alternative configuration? Assuming that I stick with AD, I have a couple of questions regarding DNS. To be honest, I'd rather not fiddle around with the DNS settings because my ISP already has their own DNS server which works just fine. It would appear however that DNS and AD are intertwined. Firstly, if I am to create a new domain in called mycompany.net, do I actually need to be the registered owner of that domain name and ensure the DNS entry points to the IP address of the machine hosting AD? Secondly, for the two other machines that I am trying to add to the domain, do I need to fiddle with their DNS settings? I've tried setting the preferred DNS Server IP address to that of my newly installed AD, but no luck. At this point, I can't add the two other machines to the domain. Here are some diagnostics that I have run based on a few suggestions I read on forums (sorry they're in French, although I could translate if needed). I ran nltest, which seems to indicate that the client can discover the domain controller. When I run dcdiag, the call to DsGetDcName fails with error 1722, not really sure what that means. Any suggestions? Thanks!   I've a PPTP server setup on my local home network (192.168.1.0/24, pfSense). Now sometimes when I'm away and want to connect remotely my client (Windows 7) is also on the same network because e.g. the hotel has set it up the same way. Thus the connection works, but I can't reach any PC on my home network because everything is routed directly to the client local router which is in the same subnet. Is there a way to work around this by messing with a configuration or adapting Windows routing table, i.e. without modifying either network?

However I didn't know how Sysprep worked before attempting this so it was a time-consuming nightmare (even after reviewing VMware vSphere ESXi 5's documentation)! I think I've figure out what I'm supposed to be doing, but it's still not working. The biggest problem at this point is that vSphere Client vCenter Customization Specification IP address information is not sticking when I load a Sysprep XML file with just 1 basic setting! This can only be a bug.   I have two Windows 2008 x86 servers running IIS 7.0, one site on each server; both sites are SSL-enabled, using DoD-issued certificates. Both sites are accessible via https over port 443, but fail the moment Client Certificates are set to Require or Accept. IIS log records error 500.0.64 but nothing else. I have several Windows 2008 IIS 7 x64 servers that require client certificates and they are working as expected; it's just the two x86 servers that are being problematic.

• PC hangs and reboots from time to time

  Hello, I have a very strange problem: Since I have my new PC, I have always had problems with it. From time to time the computer freezes for some seconds and suddendly reboots by itself. I've had this problem since Ubuntu 9.10. The same with 10.04 and 10.10. That's why I don't think it's a software failure because the problem persist too long. It doesn't have anything to do with what I'm doing at this time. Sometimes I listen to music, sometimes I only use Firefox, sometimes I'm running 2 or 3 VMs, sometimes I watch DVD. So it's not isolatable. I could freeze once a day or once a week. I put the PC to the vendor twice(!). The first time they changed my power supply but the problem persisted. The second time they told me that they made some heavy performance tests 50 hours long but they didn't find anything. (How can that be that I have daily freezes with normal usage). The vendor didn't check the hard discs because they used their own disc with Windows. (So they never checked the Linux installation). Yesterday I made some intensive hard disc scans with "SMART" but no errors were found. I ran memtest for 3 times but no errors found. I already had this problem in my old flat, so I doubt that I has something to do with current fluctuation. I already tried another electrical socket and changed to connector strip but the problem persists. At the moment I removed 2 of the RAMs (2x 2GB). In all I have 6GB, 2x2GB and 2x1GB. • DHCP Client Can't Find DHCP Server

  I currently have 3 machines: CentOS (router) eth1 - 18.0.168.1 eth2 - 145.165.34.1 Windows Server 2008 (server) 18.0.168.2 DHCP scope - 145.165.34.10 - 145.165.34.20 Windows 7 (client) Supposed to use DHCP I can't get my Windows 7 client to get an address from the Windows Server 2008 DHCP server. Every network interface can ping each other (ex. 18.0.168.2 can ping 18.0.168.1 & 145.165.34.1 and the other way around). My Linux machine acting as the router has default IP tables. Other than this command which may or may not be right: iptables -I INPUT -p udp -d 18.0.168.2 --dport 67:68 -j ACCEPT I have also tried it after I flushed the IP tables. I was looking at the dhcrelay command but it seems CentOS doesn't have it and I am not even sure how to use it.

  I have a win 7 64 bit box which has xp on it in a vmware module and also the win7 version. I can use my old usb wifi card under virtual xp as i have the wifi drivers, but apparently the manufacturing company never made any further drivers, nor did it release the source code. Is it possible to get networking between the client and the host, so that my host can browse etc? I thought the microsoft loopback adapter might be the answer but ever example i can find of it's use describes a setup where the host is connected fine and needs to route data to the client as well.

  I need an IRC client with good logging / autoconnect upon disconnect / authorize upon succesful connect capabilities. Simply, something that will sit in the background and record some channels so I can quickly reread them later. Windows XP platform. Is there something like that on the market ? I knew of one or two 'in the old days' (of ibm terminals :-), but nowadays, all I see are simple gui clients without even the basic features. I know of mIRC (with which I've had some problems with reconnecting after server drops). Anything better out there ? Just to clarify ... I'm not interested in a general irc client ... for that I have mIRC, with which I'm reasonably happy ... I just need something which is really good at the above mentioned three things.

• In SASL authentication, are the messages between a particular client and server the same every time

  I wrote a test client and server using the Cyrus SASL library, and I'm manually forcing it to select GSSAPI as the mechanism. While debugging, I printed the md5sum of each message as it was passed between the two. I noticed that the sequence seems to be the same every time I connect. That is, if the message sequence on the first negotiation was clientMessage1, serverResponse1, clientMessage2, etc... to successful authentication, if I then restart my client, the same clientMessage1, serverResponse2, clientMessage2,etc... sequence is repeated. It seems to me like it would be a security concern. Is this the correct behavior and if so, should I be wrapping these communications in TLS or something?

• Installing perforce visual client on linux

  I am from Mac background trying my hand at installing perforce client visual(P4V) on my linux box.For this I download the correct version here and untar the files. Then I cd to the directory ~/Desktop/p4v-2012-blah-blah/bin I also say chmod +x p4* After this i try running p4v (by double clicking) but I dont see anything .The file type is shown as a "text executable" but i dont know why it is not running. On mac i had done the same thing -just clicked on p4v and the client would show up(where I filled the server address and everything )But not sure what is going wrong here.Can someone give me directions? FWIW i did check out this link .

I've looked around and can find 4000 articles about improving Hyper-V performance, but I can't find any that actually do a side-by-side comparison or give benchmarking numbers. Ideally, I'm interested in a comparison of CPU, memory, disk, and graphics performance between something like the following: Some powerful workstation (with plenty of RAM) with Windows 7 installed on it directly Same exact worksation with Hyper-V Server 2008 R2 (the bare Server role) and a full-screen Windows 7 client machine Virtual Server 2005 had performance that didn't compare at all with actual hardware, but with the advances in CPU and hardware-level virtualization, has performance improved significantly? How obvious would it be to a user of the two above scenarios that one of them was virtualized, and does anybody know of actual benchmarking of this type?

  The condition: I'm running on windows 7, I'm using a usb broad band for my computer, then my computer is connected to the router tp-link tl-wr340g (in this sense my computer is the internet source since my router has no usb port for this type of broad band). I set the broad band to have internet sharing. I got 3-4 client connected through the router. The problem is whenever a client is using the internet, other clients including me don't have internet connection, additionally, If I have the internet access other clients don't have internet access. In my setup in windows XP (bridging the broad band and the router network) it works perfectly fine, every one has simultaneous internet. To clarify, how can I have all clients including me have internet connection simultaneously in my windows 7 OS? //Additionally, the create "network bridge" setup is missing, from this link the "Bridge Connection is missing", how can I fix that?

• Remotely managing Hyper-V VMs from Windows 8 Client

  Currently, I have a core Hyper-V Server hosting VMs for a domain controller and several domain-joined VDI infrastructure servers. The VMs are connected in that domain environment, but the remote management of the physical Hyper-V Server is set up using the same WORKGROUP (as the Windows 8 client I'm managing from) This makes it cumbersome to manage the VMs hosted on the physical server from my remote management Windows 8 client because I can only connect to the physical Hyper-V server and not the individual VMs hosted inside. Can I make my set up more flexible by hosting a second domain controller in a VM hosted on my Windows 8 machine and switching my remote management set up to use the same domain through? Meaning ALL physical and virtual machines including the VDI infrastructure under the same domain? I'm new to this just looking for some suggestions.

  I'm trying to build a custom Linux kernel using this link I have successfully built the kernel and booted into it. Now I want to mount NFS share on it. I have enabled NFS client support from menuconfig . Update : I'm trying to mount a NFS share from newly built kernel. I have tried adding a NFS client support to the kernel. Following command shows (From newly built kernel) #cat /proc/filesystems nodev nfs nodev usbfs ext3 vfat .... Which shows that kernel support NFS filesystem but, mount command fails to mount NFS share, which is working fine on other machines. Help will be appreciated.
