  After researching this online, I've only found solutions that don't apply to my problem, so please bear with me. Code snippet: typedef my_map_t<int const *, float> _test; my_map_t::const_iterator not_found = my_map_t::end(); if (_test.find(&iKeyValue) == not_found) { _test[iKeyValue] = 4 + 5; // not the actual code, but here for simplicity } The compiler complains that there's an ambiguous call to my_map_t::end(). This makes sense, because the only difference is the return type. Output: error C2668: 'std::_Tree<_Traits>::end' : ambiguous call to overloaded function Normally you can disambiguate the call by casting the parameters, but end() has no parameters. Any ideas?

• Windows GUI application when user is not logged in?

  I've written a Autoit script that starts a GUI application, when the application starts there is a login form. The scripts fills the login form and tries to log in. Then it records the time it took to login to the application and shuts the application down afterwards, writes a output file with the time it took. The thing is, I can't get the application to start unless Im logged in as the user the Scheduled task is running on. So my question is: Is there any way to start a GUI application even though the user isn't logged in? Or is the only way to have a user always logged in?

This code must be executed with Code Composer Studio for TMS320C6748 DSP (Texas Instrument C6748). Specifically, for the development board OMAP-L138 ZOOM ™EVM DEVELOPMENT KIT. For this, I am using the following versions: Simulink (Version 7.7 - R2011a) Embedded Coder (Version 6.0 - R2011a) Code Composer Studio v3.3 I tried several options (with generic modules in Simulink and programming the C6748 timers, configuring a module "Target Preferences" with "OMAP_L138/C6748 EVM"...) but it isn't working. I'm trying to construct a Perl regular expression which will match any such string.   I have some matrix which I want to cycle through blocks, the matrix could be of many different sizes, but I can know the size, is there a way to fast cycle through blocks? i.e: to fast output the indexes of the blocks, suppose a matrix of 4*4 I should have: Block1: (0,0),(0,1)(1,0)(1,1) Block2: (0,2),(0,3)(1,2)(1,3) Block3: (2,0),(2,1)(3,0)(3,1) Block4: (2,2),(2,3)(3,2)(3,3) Where the indexes are (row,col). For blocks I mean a submatrix of size sqrt(matrixSize)* sqrt(matrixSize) where matrix is a matrix of matrixSize*matrixSize. For example a matrix of 4*4 has 4 blocks of 2*2, a 9*9 has 9 blocks of 3*3... I'm workdeing in C, but I think that the pseudocode is useful also, I only need the loop on the indexes... Thanks

• WinDbg can't find mfc90 version 9.0.30729.4148 symbols on msdl.microsoft.com

  I think the title states my problem fairly well. Where are those mfc symbols? Some background info: I have a crash dump that I want to analyze in WinDbg. My symbol path contains msdl.microsoft.com/download/symbols (and it says h t t p first but I'm a new user here so I'm not allowed to write that twice. The 9.0.30729.4148 version seems to be installed by some Windows update When a dump contains an earlier version of mfc90, it is located by WinDbg on the Microsoft symbol server with the same settings. When I use !sym noisy, the output for mfc90.dll contains: SYMSRV: http://msdl.microsoft.com/download/symbols/mfc90.dll/4A596D4939c000/mfc90.dll not found The same thing happens on two different computers Edit: See my comments below. The symbols are present on the server, but WinDbg can't get them.

• Is there a way to list all the database queries my wordpress install is making for a given event?

  Using a method similar to the one described here: (http://stackoverflow.com/questions/14873/how-do-i-display-database-query-statistics-on-wordpress-site), I can see the total number of queries being made when I load a page. Now I'd like to output a list of the queries that are being made when the page loads. This would allow me to see who my biggest resource hogs are without having to go through the process of elimination of all my plugins and theme scripts. How would I do this? Thanks.

• Is AsParallel() good practice in a web environment?

  I have no doubt that for client applications, AsParallel() will bring some out-of-the-box performance gains. But what if I would use it in a web environment. Let's say I have a widget framework that loops over all widgets to get their data and render output. This would parallelize great no? I do have my doubts on using AsParallel() in this scenario. What if I have a large number of visitors for my site, isn't IIS going to use multiple threads to handle all requests? Aren't there going to be locking issues presented after a while, or threads dying because all processors are in use? It's just a thought, what do you think about this?

  I'm commiting a large changeset, including a large binary file (180 MB) over a slow VPN connection. It looks for all the world like it is stalled. How can I diagnose where it is stuck? The output is: $ svn commit -m "My commit message" Connecting to deprecated signal QDBusConnectionInterface::serviceOwnerChanged(QString,QString,QString)` Local subversion is 1.6.9 on Linux, KDE 4.3, and svn status shows ML . L ws M ws/manage.py L ws/locales L ws/locales/ja_JP L ws/locales/ja_JP/LC_MESSAGES The process isn't using much of any resources. The server is Linux, served by Apache and mod_dav_svn, same subversion 1.6.9. I can't see any process that is handling the commit.

  I have a Users page, which is simply a nicely styled grid (HTML table) of users. I'm displaying a few fields for each one, and both the name and the profile picture have been set to link to the user node. What is the best way to change it so that the whole cell (HTML td) links to the user node? Would you have to use javascript? I've looked into modifying the theme of the view (over-riding the Style output e.g. views-view-grid--users.tpl.php), but cant see an elegant way to get the URL of the user node. And I think you would have to use javascript anyway to turn a whole block element into a link.

I used the following code to typeset an equation \begin{align} & R=\frac{P^2}{P+S'} \label{eqn:SCS}\\ &\mbox {where} \quad \mbox R = \mbox {Watershed Runoff} \notag\\ &\hspace{0.63in} \mbox P = \mbox{Rainfall} \notag\\ &\hspace{0.63in} \mbox S' = \mbox{Storage in the watershed $=\frac{1000}{CN}-10$ }\notag \end{align} My output requirement is such that: The equation should begin one tab space from the left margin The equation number should end at one tab space from the right margin With the above code, I have the equation begin at the right place but not the numbering. • precompile App_LocalResources in Visual Studio

  My web-application project (not "web-site" project) is translated to 15 different languages using the ASP.NET's built-in resource engine (I have tons of *.aspx.resx file in the "App_LocalREsources" folder). All these resources are precompiled by ASP.NET when I first launch the application and it takes a LOT of time. A LOT. 5-10 minutes. I have to wait 5-10 minutes every time I make soe tiny change to my code to see how it works. Is there any way to compile these resource in Visual Studio? Changing the "Build Action" for all these resx-files to "Embedded resource" does not work :( (or I'm doing it wrong?) PS. I know I can write a batch file that will launch aspnet_compiler.exe and manually compile the app with all the resources, but thats a "hack". I need a documented "Visual Studio"-way to achieve this. Cause I have a setup-project for this app in the same solution, that picks up the "project output" of this web-app (and it won't pick-up any manually precompiled files I made)

  Hi all, hopefully this is a basic question about make pattern rules: I want to use a wildcard more than once in a prerequisite for a rule, i.e. in my Makefile I have data/%P1.m: $(PROJHOME)/data/%/ISCAN/%P1.RAW @echo " Writing temporary matlab file for $*" # do something data/%P2.m: $(PROJHOME)/data/%/ISCAN/AGP2.RAW @echo " Writing temporary matlab file for $*" # do something In this example, I try to invoke make when the wildcard % is AG. Both files $(PROJHOME)/data/AG/ISCAN/AGP1.RAW and $(PROJHOME)/data/AG/ISCAN/AGP2.RAW exist. I attempt the following make commands and get this output: [jshen@iLab10 gender-diffs]$ make data/AGP1.m make: *** No rule to make target `data/AGP1.m'. Stop. [jshen@iLab10 gender-diffs]$ make data/AGP2.m Writing temporary matlab file for AG, part 2...   Hi again guys. I'm trying to access my iPhone's device keychain. I want to access in order to create a simple user-password value intended for a log in function.
