• Protect my PHP App

  Hello all, I have developed an app and its written in PHP (with a bunch of SQL scripts), this app will be used by a few small companies. For them to use it, I will have to install Apache and SQL Server for them. Every method I have thought has fallen short of what I need. I was actually just hoping to use ZendGuard or IonCube but they don't support PHP 5.3.x. Is there a simpler method where I can maybe store a key in the database and make the app run only when it knows its on that server? Maybe create a key based on some random numbers/letters and the machine name, sql server host name and encode/decode this when ever the system is in use? Thanks all for any help or ideas

• Cannot Generate ParameterSetMetadata While Programmatically Creating A Parameter Block

  I'm trying to programmatically create a parameter block for a function ( along the lines of this blog post ). I'm starting with a CommandMetadata object (from an existing function). I can create the ParameterMetadata object and set things like the ParameterType, the name, as well as some attributes. The problem I'm running into is that when I use the GetParamBlock method of the ProxyCommand class, none of my attributes that I set in the Attributes collection of the ParameterMetadata are generated. The problem this causes is that when the GetParamBlock is called, the new parameter is not annotated with the appropriate Parameter attribute.   Hi, I would like a query that will shouw a sum of columns with a default value for missing data. For example assume I have a table as follows: type_lookup: id name 1 self 2 manager 3 peer And a table as follows data: id type_lookup_id value 1 1 1 2 1 4 3 2 9 4 2 1 5 2 9 6 1 5 7 2 6 8 1 2 9 1 1 After running a query I would like a result set as follows: type_lookup_id value 1 13 2 25 3 0 I would like all rows in type_lookup table to be included in the result set - even if they don't appear in the data table.   Hi! all I am designing an application for streaming video.I have developed a model in which a server wait for incoming request.The server it self is serving to a good number of clients and it can't afford to serve any more clients.Now when the new connection comes,the server chooses from among it's clients a candidate client who will serve the request of the incoming client.Now the thing is that this choice should be very intelligent.Now I am using various heuristic like bandwidth of the selected client,it's location,distance from the requesting client to come at a decision.Now my question is,IS THERE AVAILABLE ANY TOOL TO FIND OUT BANDWIDTH,LOCATION of a host,and DISTANCE(my be in hop number)?for hop number I can use traceroute but that will be too expensive as it take long time sending reply from every intermediate router. The MANIFEST looks something like: SendMyEmail.pm SendMyEmail/defualt_email.tt Currently I know where the module (and the template) are - but does the module itself know where on disk it is? • Is SQL Server Compact *ever* OK to use on a web server?

  I'd like to host a personal database for about 500 people (1 database per person) on my web server. A person could possibly share their database with a friend or two. On my web server, I'd have some web services, perhaps for doing synchronization, and maybe even an ASP.NET Web Forms front end to the database. If I restart my IIS web server, would this likely cause database corruptions? Would this be expected to perform ok? If not Compact, should I instead use SQL Express and create a database in SQL Server for each of my 500 people?

  I'm trying to add a subview to a UITableViewCell and the design that I'm working from demands that this particular subview (an image) needs to be larger than the actual UITableViewCell and thus partly overlap its siblings. So I've set up my table cell, generated my image and added it to the cell's contentView: // rowHeight for the UITableView is 45.0f UIImage *image = [self createCellThumbnail: someImage]; UIImageView *thumbView = [[UIImageView alloc] initWithFrame: CGRectMake(150, -5, 55,55)]; thumbView.transform = CGAffineTransformMakeRotation(0.1f); thumbView.image = image; cell.clipsToBounds = NO; cell.contentView.clipsToBounds = NO; [cell.contentView addSubview: thumbView]; While the image will 'overflow' into the cell below it, the top of the image is always clipped, as demonstrated here: http://imgur.com/WDsAx . I have a "Website" table in the database that stores the configuration values related to each domain name: Website - domain - name - tagline - admin_email - etc... • Why do debug symbols so adversely affect the performance of threaded applications on Linux?

  Hi. I'm writing a ray tracer. Recently, I added threading to the program to exploit the additional cores on my i5 Quad Core. In a weird turn of events the debug version of the application is now running slower, but the optimized build is running faster than before I added threading. I'm passing the "-g -pg" flags to gcc for the debug build and the "-O3" flag for the optimized build. Host system: Ubuntu Linux 10.4 AMD64. I know that debug symbols add significant overhead to the program, but the relative performance has always been maintained. I.e. a faster algorithm will always run faster in both debug and optimization builds. Any idea why I'm seeing this behavior?

  Hello, I have a python project that calls a c++ dll that calls a c# dll. I wanted all to run without installing visual studio 2008. I allready made the c++ part by installing Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistributable Package (x86) and I also installed .net framework 3.5.   I had a method on my main view controller named "calculateThis". This method was run, obviously, as int newValue = [self calculateThis:myVariable]; when I run it from inside the view controller. Then I created a static class and I need to run this method from there. How do I reference this method from that class using just relative references, as super, superview, delegate, etc. I cannot use the class name defined on the delegate because this static class is used in several apps of mine.

  I am trying to vertically align the text in the UILabel view of my app. The problem is that I want the text to be vertically aligned to the top and the size of the label to be 280 x 150. I am only able to achieve one of these 2 things. If I remove the line [myLabel sizeToFit]; then the alignment of the text is alright but the size is messed up. But if I add the above line, then the alignment is messed up but the size is alright. How do I fix this problem.
