• Is there a way to iterate over all open windows in Mac OS X?

  When you unplug an external monitor with a higher resolution that your macbook from your laptop, the windows mostly retain their width, but their size gets clipped to the (smaller) height of the macbook screen. When you plug the monitor back in, their size remains frustratingly small. My question is: is there any way that I can iterate over all open windows, save their size, and restore them once the monitor gets plugged in again?

  my popUpButton is in a window with a group of popUpButtons. If I try to click the 2nd of 4 vertically aligned buttons then the popdown menu will not appear. If I select the 3rd or 4th then the 2nd will now be selectable. throughout my code the setEnabled on that popUpButton is :YES. ideas on where to look in my controller?   Silly question: I have a simple for loop followed by a simple if statement: for airport in airports: if airport.is_important: and I was wondering if I can write this as a single line somehow. So, yes, I can do this: for airport in (airport for airport in airports if airport.is_important): but it reads so silly and redundant ("for airport in airport for airport in airports..."). Is there a better way?
