    I have a C function receiving a uint8 pointer with another parameter which is its size (number of bytes). I want to extract double data from this buffer. Here is my code: Write(uint8* data, uint8 size) /* data and size are given by a callback to my function)*/ { double d; for (i = 0; i < size; i++) { d = ((double*)&data)[i]; printf(" d = %d\n"); } } The problem is that I am not receiving what I am sending within an external hardware.   • jQuery AJAX & an ASP.NET web service works locally but not remotely

    Interesting one here. I have an ASP.NET 1.1 project that contains a web service in it. I'm using jQuery's AJAX functionality to call some services from the client. This is what my code looks like: $.ajax({ type: "POST", url: 'foo.asmx/functionName', data: 'foo1=' + foo1 + '&foo2=' + foo2, dataType: "xml", success: function(xml) { //do something with my xml data }, error: function(request, error){ //handle my error } }); This works great when I run the site from my IDE on localhost. However, when I deploy this site to any other server I get a parsererror error from jQuery. It does not appear to even call my service as I dropped in some code to write a log file to disk and it's not making it there. The same exact XML should be returned from both my localhost and the server I deployed to. Any ideas?

    I am having application.html where I used jquery.validate.js and it works fine and submit my data to process.php. But I want if there is an error generated by jquery.validate.js then I know the how many errors generated by validate.js in application.php. I am going to implement if there are number of errors generated then uploading function will be disable. If there is no error generated then uploading function will work. Instead i want that the function will get a directory for example c:\ And it will return me a List of all directories in c:\ Not subsirectories just the directories in c:\ in my case it should be a List with a 14 directories. Meaning in each index in the List a directory. How can i do it ? Tried with Directory and DirectoryInfo but i just got messed up.

    Hello, I currently have the following js code function clearMulti(option) { var i; var select = document.getElementById(option.parentNode.id); for(i=1;i<select.options.length;i++) { select.options[i].selected=false; } } and function clearAllOpt(select) { select.options[0].selected = false; } The first one deselects all options in the multiple select when called and the second clears the first option whenever anything else is selected. The need for this is that the first option is for All. This all works fine and dandy in FF, but in IE8 nothing happens... any suggestions on how to get this to work in both? Thanks in advance.

What I'd like to do is create a function that automatically encloses all email addresses and all URLs withing a string in HREF tags so that the HTML email reads properly in all email clients. At the moment I have this: int count = 0; for (int i = 0; i < data.length; i++) { if (data[i] != null) { count ++; } } return count; But the problem is that an array list that includes null data is acceptable, and I have to count their null data towards this counter. How do I include the null data that's in the middle of this array, and not the null data that's not supposed to be counted for?     First i thought that i had to convert javascript to php, but then i found out that cant because of server and client side executions. So now I simply want to send ONE variable <script type="text/javascript"> function scriptvariable() { var theContents = "the variable"; } </script> to a php variable <?php $phpvariable ?> That function in the javascript executes when lets say i click on a button. Now i have Nooo idea how to get that phpvariable Equal to the javascript one so i can use that phpvariable to look up stuff in my Database. I know i can add it to my url or some thing, and just refresh the page.. But id like to do it with AJAX as further in my webpage i might have to use this Ajax method.. So is there an easy way to do this without having to dump pages of code on my page to do one simple thing?
