• JQuery Help: toggle() is not working properly

  Hi All, I'm trying to use JQuery toggle functionality, but not able to use properly. Instead of smooth slide up and down, it goes very fast and not in an animated manner.   I am setting up a page with jQuery's Cycle plugin and have four divs set to fade. I have the code in place, the images set, but it doesn't cycle properly. You are right, the images are all the same right now, but the text should be rotating as well and there is a slight difference there. In addition, the fade should still show up.   Hello, I have a content area that loops through divs and shows there content. I'm having trouble making it display the initial content, unfortunately it waits 5000 milliseconds before triggering the very first content area to display. Anyone spot an easy way to make it display the initial area, then slide to the next area and do them at 5000 milliseconds. • How do I (or should I?) access the service layer from a SiteMesh template (views/layouts/main.gsp) in Grails?

  I need to create a toplist in the page footer on a site that I'm building. The footer is created in the default SiteMesh layout template (views/layouts/main.gsp). In order to create the toplist access to the database is needed, so I've encapsulated all logic needed for the toplist creation in a service class (services/FooService). Please note that while services are usually accessed from the controller layer, in this case the default layout template (views/layouts/main.gsp) is not generated from a controller. Can the layout view (views/layouts/main.gsp) access a service class? How? Is this the correct design decision? If not, what is a better encapsulation and how do I interact with said encapsulation from the layout view (views/layouts/main.gsp)?

• Problem with jquery ajax form on Codeigniter

  Everytime I test the email is send correctly. (I have tested in PC: IE6, IE7, IE8, Safari, Firefox, Chrome. MAC: Safari, Firefox, Chrome.) The _POST done in jquery (javascript). Then when I turn off javascript in my browser nothing happens, because nothing is _POSTed. • Can inbound links through template-based layouts result in penalties?

  So obviously link building is encouraged as long as it is natural, organic and has meaningful links with content relevant to your site. Obviously with the constant release of new updates to algorithms, Google is flagging sites for unnatural links to their sites. My Question is: Can this be caused by templating systems? With WordPress for example, where you can add a link on the footer and it is repeated throughout the entire website generating thousands of links? If we don't add any links, Good Content will be re-posted and linked to, surely if your content is constantly linked to this will flag your site for "unnatural" content as it's difficult to see if someone has been paid to write an article on your content. Or does Google just simply want us to audit some of the links to show we are making an effort? As you can tell we have had a Manual action for: Unnatural links to your site—impacts links. However, this seems to impact our website as well. Edit: To clarify the question: Can you get penalised for paying for advertising on a site that uses a templated sidebar. So when they create a new blog/page ect your link is also added onto the page hence resulting in 1000's of links to one page on our site. I know that one effect maybe a 0 pagerank web page linking to your page dilutes the PR of our page. However the links are only inbound not reciprocal

And if its needed to know jstorage.js and fastclick.js But the div above is not getting a height at the wrapper of iscroll. There is also a login before and this page will be shown automatically after the login after a $.mobile.changePage("#home"); function. I tried to do it as first page before the function of changePage and it gave me the same effect. If i put a   for example after the <div data-role="content" height="100%" data-iscroll>&nbps; The Wrapper get a height of 15px for the &nbps; but not for the images inside.

  Wordpress wraps images with captions in a div with a class of .wp-caption. I'm looking for a way to select images that don't have this div so I can wrap them in different div. • Wordpress issue with footer

  I've been trying to turn my simple html/css site into a wordpress site. my big issue which no one seem to be able to solve appears in my footer. The footer is pretty much ignoring everything and just staying in the top of the site ( like it was a part of my header). All my files is split into 3 files. A header.php a footer.php and the page.php (one for each site). • Strange offset space between <button> as parent container and <div> as child.

  I need to decorate a standard html button. The base element I took <button> instead of <input>, cos I decided that the element must be a parent container. And there is child element <div> in it. This <div> element will be been the core element for decoration, and should occupy the entire space of the parent element - button. <button> <div>*decoration goes here*</div> </button> And within Cascading Style Sheets it might be looks like this: css button { margin: 0; border: 0; padding: 0; width: *150*px; height: *50*px; position: relative; } div { margin: 0; border: 0; padding: 0; width: 100%; height: 100%; background: *black*; position: absolute; top: 0; left: 0; } html <button type="button"> <div>*decoration goes here*</div> </button> So, Opera(10) is doing well, webkits Chrome(6) and Safari(4) is doing also well, but Internet Explorer(8) is bad - DOM Inspector shows some strange Offset space in top and left, FireFox(3) is also bad - DOM Inspector shows that <div> get some negative value in css-property right: and bottom:. Even if this property will set to zero(0) DOM-Inspector still shows same negative value. I almost broke my brain. Help me, solve this problem, please!

• How to append html only if the div is empty in jQuery?

Thats OK, however I need to add it only once, so when the user click more times on the span it will be not adding more text. Remove() or empty() is not an option, as far as I know, because I need the information inside input boxes (there will be input boxes later for inserting user info) to stay there and not be deleted if the user click accidentally on the span again. It can however delete the html inside the div, if he clicks on another span. E.g. if span.log is active, after clicking on span.log nothing happens, but if he clicks on span.reg the html inside div.login-part will be removed and registration text will appear. How to do something like this?

• Why are pieces of my HTML showing up on the page and breaking it? Is it PHP related?

  I've been building a site in PHP, HTML, CSS, and using a healthy dose of jQuery javascript. The site looks absolutely fine on my Mac browsers, but for some reason, when my client uses PC Safari, she's seeing strange bits of my HTML show up on the page. Here are some (small) screenshot examples: Figure 1: This one is just a closing </li> tag that should've been on the Media li element. Not much harm done, but strange. Figure 2: Here this was part of <div class='submenu'> and since the div tag didn't render properly, the entire contents of that div don't get styled correctly by CSS. Figure 3: This last example shows what should have been <a class='top current' href=... but for some reason half of the HTML tag stops being rendered and just gets printed out. So the rest of that list menu is completely broken. Here's the code from the header.php file itself. I have a div id=ticker which basically works like a scrolling ticker. something like this - http://www.tinymassive.com/ (whats happening section).   Hi all: This is uni homework so sorry about :my password protected url Please enter usersame as "uts" and password as "10479475", without the wrapper quotes. It it almost completed, please follow simple steps to see where my problem dwells: step1: click on any continent highlighted on world map; step2: click on any city marked on continent map; step3: enter quantity ranging from 1 to 6 into the upper-right table; step4 : there you go, in the table below, once row is equal or greater than 3, then the size of table starts to "overlap" on top of the footer section and continues to grow, which is not what I want. I want to achieve the effect that the table size has a limited max-height, so once actual height exceeds the threshold, then I can have a vertical scroll bar so to "stack up" my table and not to break the overall structure. It turns out that my lazy initial design now gets myself stuck in a problem... Any suggestion and hint on how to get this?

• IE7 div boxes with clear: right and float: left - float to top

  Hey, lately i've been slamming my head against my desk to solve this Problem. Didn't work out. I know it can be solved by editing the contents with some clearing elements. Sadly there is some javascript sorting beeing used and the Sourcode is being generated by CMS Components so that would be my last shot. I'm having a few boxes beeing floated alwayes 2 in a row. The boxes have a diffrent height but equal width and are all placed in a container with static width. The link shows the source i need to reproduce the Problem. My Boxes are beeing floated left. I tried to fix this with clear: left on odd and clear: right on even elements. But that only works in ff/ie8/chrome Browsers, not ie7. Example: http://www.i3rutus.de/ie7divfloatexample/ Anyone knows a possibility to fix this Problem by just editing the CSS not the actual XHTML? Problem appears in IE7. IE8, Chrome and FF work fine. • CSS 100% Height Div
