    I have the GridView below. I am binding to a custom datasource in the code behind. It gets into the "OnRowUpdating" event just fine, but there are no NewValues or OldValues.   • How to draw Wingdings 2 characters outside of the 0..255 range in .NET?

    The standard windows Charmap utility shows quite a few characters in the "Wingdings 2" font whose character codes are greater than 255 - for example, 0xE4E shows a hand. However, if I try to draw these characters as follows: g.DrawString(new string((char) 0xE4E, 1), new Font("Wingdings 2", 20), brush, x, y); then all I get is a standard "box" replacement character. This is weird, because the above code works for Wingdings 2 symbols between 0x21 and 0xFF, and also works for ALL symbols in, say, Arial Unicode MS. How can I draw those characters from this particular font? Is there a separate API? (Win7; .NET 3.5 SP1) P.S. Here's the weird Character Map font with the duplicated character ranges:

    Anyone know of a script (php, python, perl, bash, whatever) that will convert a stylesheet from px to em? Like, it would take input of the filename and base font-size (default 16) and convert all px instances to em? eg: convertpx2ems --file stylesheet.css --base-font-size 16 would convert this: button { font-size:14px; padding:8px 19px 9px; } to something like this: button { font-size: .875em; padding: .5em 1.188em .563em; } ...maybe, is there a way to do this with sass?

  • Highlighting correctly in an emacs major mode

    Hi, I am developing an emacs major mode for a language (aka mydsl). However, using the techniques on xahlee's site doesn't seem to be working for some reason (possibly older emacs dialect..) The key issues I am fighting with are (1) highlighting comments is not working and (2), the use of regexp-opt lines is not working.   • turning text into image - PHP/GD - save image

    Hi, I'm using this script to simply create an image from text. What I would like to know is how to save the image instead of printing straight to browser; // an email address in a string $string = $post[$key]; // some variables to set $font = 4; $width = ImageFontWidth($font) * strlen($string); $height = ImageFontHeight($font); // lets begin by creating an image $im = @imagecreatetruecolor ($width,$height); //white background $background_color = imagecolorallocate ($im, 255, 255, 255); //black text $text_color = imagecolorallocate ($im, 0, 0, 0); // put it all together $image = imagestring ($im, $font, 0, 0, $string, $text_color); I know its probably just one line of code at the end but im not sure which GD function to use.
