• How do I skin an Adobe Flash Player Settings pop up and is it even possible?

  I am trying to create a professional chat application using Flex. Unfortunately, the security window that pops up asking the user to allow or deny the application access to the web cam, (the Adobe Flash Player Settings Window) doesn't really look that great and I'd like to be able to skin it. I'd really love to make this window look nicer. Is it even possible to skin this window?

• Reducing width of bar chart series

  Note: by width i mean the height here, I use width because by default, bar charts are vertical and flex uses the width property I want to reduce the width of the following barchart so Type 5, Type 4, Type 3, Type 2, Type 1 are very close to each other. I tried playing with the barWidthRatio, the horizontalAxisRatio and the maxBarWidth properties. Neither is giving me the desired result. I can only manage to reduce the width of the orange bars, how do I reduce the width of the blue bars?

• Can I rename Main.mxml?

  We have several Flash objects included in our project. We call each one a specific type of widget... For readability/debugging purposes I'd like to rename Main.mxml to something else. At first this seemed easy, as it would be just a setting in our maven configuration (we're using flex mojos to build our swf). However; changing the sourceFile from Main.mxml to MyWidget.mxml doesn't seem to do it. Any thoughts?

As far as I can tell, it can show the value of variables, but that's it: comparisons, function and method calls all fail: Edit: this is specific to FB3 — Flex Builder. Apparently FB4 — Flash Builder — is slightly less incompetent.

  I have the code in one of my flex file used as labelFunction in a DataGrid. When I run the FlexPMD to do the code review , it generates objection about the dynamic type object used in method signature "public function getFormattedCreatedTime(item:Object, column:DataGridColumn):String", it suggests to use strongly type object.   I'm using Flex - IIS - ASP.NET to do remote calls. When I stresstest, all remote calls that take longer than 30 seconds fail. In Charles I get a message saying 'SocketTimeout: Read timed out'. Is this something that can be configured in IIS? Or could it be a problem with a setting in Charles?

• Enable clipboard functions in swf generated by pdf2swf.

  I am using pdf2swf (http://www.swftools.org/) to convert PDF's to .swf. I have written a flex application that loads the swf generated by pdf2swf. I want to enable select , copy and paste functions on the loaded swf. Is there a way to do this. Please note I am able to extract the text from the loaded swf using textSnapshot, which means the pdf2swf does not convert the text to shapes.
