    I have a string based code that can be either two or three characters in length and I am looking for some help in creating a function that will increment it. Each 'digit' of the code has a value of 0 to 9 and A to Z. some examples: the first code in the sequence is 000 009 - next code is - 00A 00D - next code is - 00E AAZ - next code is - AB0 the last code is ZZZ. Hope this makes some sense.

However .div1 elements have different content and heights, so the relative positioning of .div2 is not consistent (they sometimes are too high, sometimes too low). .div2 { position:relative; left:200px; top:-300; } thanks

    Hi, I'm looking for an algorithm that given two permutations of a sequence (e.g. [2, 3, 1, 4] and [4, 1, 3, 2]) calculates the cycles that are needed to convert the first into the second (for the example, [[0, 3], [1, 2]]). The link from mathworld says that Mathematica's ToCycle function does that, but sadly I don't have any Mathematica license at hand... I'd gladly receive any pointer to an implementation of the algorithm in any FOSS language or mathematics package. Thanks!

  • Linux fsck.ext3 says "Device or resource busy" although I did not mount the disk.

    I am running an ubuntu 8.04 server instance with a 8GB virtual disk on vmware 1.0.9. For disk maintenance I made a copy of the virtual disk (by making a copy of the 2 vmdk files of sda on the stopped vm on the host) and added it to the original vm. Now this vm has it's original virtual disk sda plus a 1:1 copy (sdd). There are 2 additional disk sdb and sdc which I ignore.) I would expect sdb not to be mounted when I start the vm. So I try tp do a ext2 fsck on sdd from the running vm, but it reports fsck reported that sdb was mounted. $ sudo fsck.ext3 -b 8193 /dev/sdd e2fsck 1.40.8 (13-Mar-2008) fsck.ext3: Device or resource busy while trying to open /dev/sdd Filesystem mounted or opened exclusively by another program?     Hello, Currently I have a server (dev tun) running openVPN and my WinXP client is able to connect to the server just fine. I have an ethernet device and I need to send data to a computer under the server's network, so since the device can't connect on its own I need to configurate my Windows XP to share its VPN connection. So, on my WinXP machine i have: Network Adapter #1 (ip 192.168.0.2 gw 192.168.0.1 with internet access). OpenVPN Connection (dhcp). Network Adapter #2 (crossover cable with device).     I keep getting mail which I try to filter as junk. Problem is, it is sent from my e-mail address while writing that the name of the sender is "Viagra yada yada yada ([email protected])" I can't add a rule to outlook according to sender's name, right? Is there any other way I can filter those e-mails (I can't add a rule to junk-mail my own e-mail address). The subject of the e-mails keeps changing in the following formats: "Faruz 76% discount now!" "Faruz 80% discount now!" "Now! 78% discount Faruz" (They seem to have infinite ideas of saying the same thing... :) ) So I also seem to have problems filtering according to subject. ideas?

    To cut the long story short, I've setup a Wamp server with local virtual host for domain like sample.dev, now I've bind my static IP and port 80 to my Apache and asked the client to make some changes in his hosts file and add x.x.x.x sample.dev , I've also configured my httpd virtual host like this : <VirtualHost *:80> ServerAlias sample.dev DocumentRoot 'webroot_directory' </VirtualHost> Client can reach to my web server using the direct access by ip address, but when he tries using the sample domain looks like he gets in to some infinite loop. The firewall is off too. What would be the problem?! Thanks.

  • mplayer dumpstream sometimes fails

    I'm trying to rip the video at http://videolectures.net/ecml07%5Fgetoor%5Fisr/, so I can play it at a faster speed. I paste http://193.2.4.216/2007/pascal/ecml07%5Fwarsaw/getoor%5Flise/ecml07%5Fgetoor%5Fisr%5F01.wmv into a firefox browser in Windows and MediaPlayer plays the thing. However if I try mplayer -dumpstream, it gets stuck into an infinite loop trying to play the file. If I use wget to download the link, I get a small text file which basically points to the same URL. How can I get mplayer to download this stream?

  • All traffic is passed through OpenVPN although not requested

    I have a bash script on a Ubuntu box which searches for the fastest openvpn server, connects, and binds one program to the tun0 interface. Unfortunately, all traffic is being passed through the VPN. Does anybody know what's going on? The relevant line follows: openvpn --daemon --config $cfile --auth-user-pass ipvanish.pass --status openvpn-status.log There don't seem to be any entries in iptables when I enter sudo iptables --list. The config files look like this: client dev tun proto tcp remote nyc-a04.ipvanish.com 443 resolv-retry infinite nobind persist-key persist-tun persist-remote-ip ca ca.ipvanish.com.crt tls-remote nyc-a04.ipvanish.com auth-user-pass comp-lzo verb 3 auth SHA256 cipher AES-256-CBC keysize 256 tls-cipher DHE-RSA-AES256-SHA:DHE-DSS-AES256-SHA:AES256-SHA There is nothing in there that would direct everything through tun0, so maybe it's a new vagary of Ubuntu?
