    I am creating a background color animation with jQuery and the color animation plugin http://plugins.jquery.com/project/color How do I have a function stay in a loop repeating itself each time it has finished running?     Hi, I have a strange problem. To detect outgoing calls I have registered a broadcast receiver for android.intent.action.PHONE_STATE. When the state becomes OFFHOOK, then a conversation is started. It seems working on emulator: the debugger in fact reaches some code while it doesn't work on real device (Acer Liquid). Is it possible? Which is a way to detect outgoing calls? Thanks

    For a little while now javascript has the "map" function to loop over arrays. It appears possible to use it as a 'foreach' operator for example: var arr = ['a','b','c'] var doubles = arr.map(function(val){ return val + val }) Is this better or worse than saying for(var i in arr){ ... 50/50: saves having to use the index but adds a callback; it doesn't seem very common so I hesitate to use it but still want to.

Seems pretty straightforward edit: more research led me to the problem with using device orientation early in the app, which I am doing. However when I instead use interfaceOrientation, it always returns 1 (portrait)

    I have developed an iPhone app with a launch image. When starting the app in the simulator, the image zooms in as expected. However, when the app is deployed to my physical device, the zoom animation is very short and sometimes completes instantaneously. I'm sure it's nothing to do with my app start up as I put a sleep call in applicationDidFinishLoading to slow it down and this occurs after the zoom animation has completed.

    Hi, Kangxi radicals in the range 2F00-2FDF (see link text) are not displayed correctly on the iPhone device. They appear as a crossed-out box. In the simulator they display correctly. I tried the system font and also the [UIFont fontWithName:@"STHeitiTC-Medium" size:24]; ... Is the unicode codepoint coverage limited on the iphone (in my case OS 3.1.3)?     Hi there, I have a date format like this : $date1 = "Sun May 09 20:07:50 +0000 2010"; and I have to convert it to: 09-05-2010 I am using date("d-m-Y", $date1)); When I print this individually it gives proper result but I am using it in loop it gives me results like: 31-12-1969 I don't understand why this is so? Now my problem is how do I access it from user space programs? PCI File operations do not have IOCTL support and hence I cant make an ioctl call unlike other char devices. I cannot use pci_config_read_byte etc. functions as they are meant for kernel space(included in linux/pci.h).
