    Hey Few Questions 1.Is it legal to have an IFrame on a website which inside has an external website? 2.In an IFrame is it possible to only show a section of the src that isnt the top left of the site (for instance if there was a chart in the middle of a website, could u have just the chart in your Iframe, or atleast start it centred there) 3.Any way to stop my IFrame from auto redirecting me to the external site for 3: ie <iframe src="http://fifa.com"></iframe> Just sends me to fifa instead of actually showing that site in a frame.

I haven't found anything on the internet, and was hoping the SO community would help me.   • HTML form submits and the hostname changes to IP address

    I am facing a peculiar problem. The problem is, my webapp is being installed behind a proxy. The request gets submitted to the proxy which forwards the request to the original host that is running the websphere web application. The problem I am facing is, when I access the webapp, its URL looks like the below http://www.myproxy.com Lets say I get a form on this URL, when I submit the form, it is getting submitted to another URL - http://10.1.2.87 Since the URL is changing, application server thinks it is a different session and throws the login page again. The login page comes thru a filter which checks whether user is already authenticated in the session or not. I do not have much knowledge on proxy settings .. where do you think is the problem?

  • How to handle printing of HTML pages?

    In my portfolio site I have listed my projects under separate tabs (tab menu). This works well except for printing which requires the user to click on a tab, print, click on the next tab and print the same page again to get everything. Being a portfolio I'd assume that visitors want to print all of the content. Is there a general way to create a different style when printing a web page? Or should I just add a printer icon on my page which redirects the user to a different page where all the data is in a big chunk and then prompt the user's browser to start printing?

I have a form that has 8 columns and a variable number of rows which I need to email to the client in a nicely formatted email. The form submits the needed fields as a multidimensional array. But, I can't find any examples that will generate that type of table! It seems like this should be something fairly straightforward, but I just can't locate an example that works the way I need it too.

    I have about 7500 (short) text lines in a table cell. The table looses its background image on about 1800th line. Is there a limit about the table's length? Text in the cell stays visible till end, but without background.   • HTML/Javascript Strange behavior with input field and TABBING

    I have a strange error where if a user enters in data, say first name and then tabs, the text in the field is highlighted/selected as opposed to moving to the next. So, a person may type the first name and then tab to the next input item, text is selected and then they hit a character and now the name they typed in is deleted. If I use the default [input] tags, the tab works properly. But in the code below, with keyup, that may change the tabbing behavior. How can I get my code where it won't select the text.     I have a span text block inside a paragraph. Inside this span block I have two paragraph breaks. On webkit, the browser renders the first paragraph correctly but fails back to browser default settings on the last two. Why? <style type="text/css"> span.post-content { font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 16px; } </style> <p><span class="post-content"> Some text here <p/> From here text loses style and adopts browser default <p/> same here </span></p> This works in all browsers except Webkit based ones: chrome and safari.

    When using ECMAScripts typeof on plugin elements (i.e. embed or object), Safari & FireFox return "function": typeof(window.document['myPlugin']) // "function" This can't be influenced on the plugin side, as the browser doesn't call the plugin here. Funny enough, in IE the same line evaluates to "object". Is that simply implementation dependent behaviour as per ECMAScript §11.4.3 or am i missing something here?

  • Open a file:// protocol with UNC paths in HTML page

    Hi - I'm trying to open a file located on a networkshare by giving the anchor tag path = file://///servername/folder/file.docx This works in IE8 and i'm able to open the file in word, however in Firefox nothing happens. I believe it's due to some secruity settings in Firefox. I tried about:config and turning off the checkloaduri value. But it didnt solve the problem. Does anyone know how I can make this work in both IE and Firefox.

    I have a form that contains this single input field, which is nothing more than a button to Print the current web page: <div align="center"> <input type="image" src="../Images/print.jpg" value="Print" onclick="printpage();" /></div> </div> After the printing, the page re-submits itself (to itself). Why does it do this and can I stop it? If I just change the type to "input", this code does not re-submit itself after printing: <div align="center"> <input type="input" src="../Images/print.jpg" value="Print" onclick="printpage();" /></div> </div> Unfortunately, our style conventions require me to use that button image rather than the standard input button.
