  • windows service cannot access a webservice

    Hi We have two servers, both are containing a local application connecting to local web service, applications and services are identical on both servers. One of the servers work just fine, The other one is just dead, I have impression the the security configuration are different on those servers. What prevents an application X from connecting a web-service, given that another application y on the same server can connect to it. and X is a windows service. What I should check, what is chances?   • Fibonnaci Sequence fast implementation

    I have written this function in Scala to calculate the fibonacci number given a particular index n: def fibonacci(n: Long): Long = { if(n <= 1) n else fibonacci(n - 1) + fibonacci(n - 2) } However it is not efficient when calculating with large indexes. Therefore I need to implement a function using a tuple and this function should return two consecutive values as the result. Can somebody give me any hints about this? I have never used Scala before. Thanks!

    I am trying to show a .tif image in matlab and I use these two line of codes a = imread('C:\Users\sepideh\Desktop\21_15.tif'); imshow(a) that encounters this warning Warning: Image is too big to fit on screen; displaying at 3% In imuitools\private\initSize at 73 In imshow at 262 what is the cause of this warning and what can I do to fix that? the main trouble is it sometimes doesn't show the image and of course even if it shows the image CPU usage gets high that I can't zoom properly

  • Does OpenCL allow concurrent writes to same memory address?

    Is two (or more) different threads allowed to write to the same memory location in global space in OpenCL? The write is always changing a uchar from 0 to 1 so the outcome should be predictable, but I'm getting erratic results in my program, so I'm wondering if the reason can be that some of the writes fail. Could it help to declare the buffer write-only and copy it to a read-only buffer afterwards?

    I have an older laptop that I won't get around to replacing for another month or two. It has 1GB of memory so I'm trying to squeeze applications as much as possible. In Visual Studio 2010, it has apparently loaded some extensions related to Team Foundation Server, since I have menu items and dialog choices for it. Questions: Would I save a noticable amount of memory (even a couple of MB would be good) if I managed to disable this? How do I disable it?

  • UIButton does not respond to touch events after changing its position using setFrame

    I have a view controller class (child) which extends from view controller class (parent). In the parent class's loadView() method I create a sub-view (named myButtonView) with two buttons (buttons are horizontally laid out in the subview) and add it to the main view. In the subclass I need to shift these two buttons up by 50pixels. So, I am shifting the buttonView by calling the setFrame method. This makes the buttons shift and render properly but they do not respond to touch events after this. Buttons work properly in the views of Parent class type. In the child class type view also, if I comment out the setFrame() call the buttons work properly. How can I shift the buttons and still make them respond to touch events? Any help is appreciated. Following is snippets of the code. In the parent class: - (void)loadView { // Some code...     base class: Class List(Of T) Function Contains(ByVal value As T) As Boolean derived class: Class Bar : List(Of Exception) ' Exception type as example ' Function Contains(Of U)(ByVal value As U) As Boolean compiler tells me that that two are the same, so I need to declare Overloads/new this second function. But I want use U to differentiate the type (one logic) like NullReferenceException, ArgumentNull Exception, etc. but want to leave the base function(no differentiation by type - other logic) as well.

    I want to compare two files and see if they are the same or not in my shell script, my way is: diff_output=`diff ${dest_file} ${source_file}` if [ some_other_condition -o ${diff_output} -o some_other_condition2 ] then .... fi Basically, if they are the same ${diff_output} should contain nothing and the above test would evaluate to true. But when I run my script, it says [: too many arguments On the if [....] line. Any ideas?
