  I am having issues pushing my codes into my Bazaar repository. It worked earlier for my first commit but not it does not work at all. Everytime I try to push my codes, I get this exception Error while executing push [Error 5] Access is denied: 'c:\\users\\benjam~1.won\\appdata\\local\\temp\\tmpj2hcal.pag' Any idea how I resolve this? I have even deleted the repo and .git folder and tried again but I keep getting this error regardless of the branch I guess.   I'm unsure on the best stack to build a chat application. Currently I'm thinking of two main options: facebook tornado cons: does not use the main chat protocol xmpp but pubsubhubbub pros: i really like its simplicity for development (webserver + webframework); pubsubhubbub also seems simpler as a protocol than xmpp; and i know python xmpp + bosch, punjab, ejabberd cons: don't know erlang; overall seems a bit harder to develop pros: uses xmpp protocol The chat app will need to have the following: Private messages Public rooms Private rooms Chat history for rooms (not forever, just the last n messages) html embedding url to chat room Both options seem scalable so that's not really my worry (we're thinking of running the app in amazon's ec2 as well). I know there's a project that builds a xmpp server using tornado but it's not ready for production use and our deadline isn't that big. Basically my main worry is ease of development vs somehow regretting later using pubsubhubbub to develop a chat app but I read somewhere that PubSubHubbub might eventually replace XMPP as REST replaced SOAP - so what do you think?

• Returning form errors for AJAX request in Django

  Hi Guys, I've been finding my way around Django and jQuery. I've built a basic form in Django. On clicking submit, I'm using jQuey to make an AJAX request to the sever to post my data. This bit seems to work fine and I've managed to save the data. Django returns a ValidatioError when a form is invalid. Could anyone tell me how to return this set of error messages as a response to my AJAX request so i can easily iterate through it using JS and do whatever? I found this snippet. Looking at the JS bit (processJson) you'll see that he seems to get the error messages by extracting them from the response HTML. It seems kinda kludgy to me. Is this a best way to go about it? My apologies for any vagueness. Thanks in advance.

• robocopy transfer file and not folder

  I'm trying to use robocopy to tranfer a single file from one location to another but robocopy seems to think I'm always specifying a folder. Here is an example: robocopy "c:\transfer_this.txt" "z:\transferred.txt" But I get this error instead: 2009/08/11 15:21:57 ERROR 123 (0x0000007B) Accessing Source Directory c:\transfer_this.txt\ (note the '\' at the end of transfer_this.txt) But if I treat it like an entire folder: robocopy "c:\folder" "z:\folder" It works but then I have to transfer everything in the folder. How can I only transfer a single file with robocopy?

• Can I programatically get hold of the Autos/local variables that is shown when debugging?

  Im trying to build an error-logger that loggs running values that is active in the function that caused the error. (just for fun so its not a critical problem) When going in break-mode and looking at the locals-tab and autos-tab you can see all active variables (name, type and value), it would be useful to get hold of that for logging purposes when an error occur and on some other occasions. For my example, I just want to find all local variables that are of type string and integer and store the name and value of them. Is this possible with reflection? Any tips or pointers that get me closer to my goal would be very appreciated. I have toyed with using expression on a specifik object (a structure) to create an automapper against a dataset, but I have not done anything like what I ask for above, so please make me happy and say its possible. • Python-MySQLdb problem: wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS32

  As part of trying out django CMS (http://www.django-cms.org/), I'm struggling with getting Python-MySQLdb to work (http://pypi.python.org/pypi/MySQL-python/). I have installed Django CMS and all of its dependencies (Python 2.5, Django, django-south, MySQL server) I'm trying out the example code within Django CMS code with MySQL as chosen database type When I execute python manage.py syncdb, the following error occurs: django.core.exceptions.ImproperlyConfigured: Error loading MySQLdb module: /root/.python-eggs/MySQL_python-1.2.3c1-py2.5-linux-i686.egg-tmp/_mysql.so: wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS32 I have been able to trace the problem specifically to python-mySQLdb (as also visible in the stack trace). Other than that, I am completely puzzled. I don't have a clue what ELFCLASS32 means, or what ELF class is anyway. I suspect that this error could have something to do with the fact that I am running 64-bit version of Debian 5 (on a VPS). Any good ideas how to troubleshoot?

• Install mod_jk with Apache 2.2

  I have downloaded mod_jk-1.2.28-httpd-2.2.X.so for Apache 2.2 running on CentOS, and set up as per http://tomcat.apache.org/connectors-doc/webserver_howto/apache.html. When I try to start httpd it fails with the following error: "Starting httpd: httpd: Syntax error on line 993 of /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf: Syntax error on line 2 of /opt/apache-tomcat-6.0.26/conf/jk/mod_jk.conf-auto: Cannot load /etc/httpd/modules/mod_jk-1.2.28-httpd-2.2.X.so into server: /etc/httpd/modules/mod_jk-1.2.28-httpd-2.2.X.so: wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS32" Does that mean that mod_jk-1.2.28-httpd-2.2.X.so has not been properly compiled?. • Nginx + php5-fpm = "File not found"

  I've hit a wall whilst setting up a site using nginx / fpm. The page displays "File not found", and this appears in the nginx error.log: FastCGI sent in stderr: "Primary script unknown" while reading response header from upstream I'm new to both nginx and fpm, and that error message means nothing to me (even the google machine hasn't helped!). Can anyone shed any light onto what could be happening?

• StringLengthValidator - localization not working

  I am validating input to my ASP.NET application using StringLengthValidators, and using the ValidationSummary control to display the error messages. To localize the application, the StringLengthValidators have the MessageTemplateResourceName and MessageTemplateResourceType attributes set. The first time the validator runs, it picks up the correct error message based on the current culture setting. If I change the language setting while running the app, the next time the validator runs, the ValidationSummary it still displays the error message for the old culture. The text for all other controls is being updated correctly. Any ideas, folks?
