  • Looking for a good C++ based RSS API

    I tried http://code.google.com/p/feed-reader-lib but holy cow, talk about difficult to build. It has a nightmare of dependencies on Xerces and Xalan, both of which seem to be choking under the new VisualStudio 2010 C++ compiler. I've wasted hours trying to build this thing which is a shame. Does anyone have anything a little easier to hit the ground running with?

    Sometimes I'd like to take a peek into the implementation of the JRE classes, which is used to generate the JavaScript code. For some classes, I can find a corresponding implementation by guessing its name, e.g. com.google.gwt.core.client.impl.StringBuilderImpl. But where's the implementation for java.util.Date for example? Where do I find it, and how does GWT find it (via some configuration file?)

  • dotted stroke in <canvas>

    I guess it is not possible to set stroke property such as CSS which is quite easy. With CSS we have dashed, dotted, solid but on canvas when drawing lines/or strokes this doesn't seem to be an option. How have you implemented this? I've seen some examples but they are really long for such a silly function.     I have several flash movies that need to redirect to an external website at the end of the presentation. In any browser (firefox, opera, etc.), getURL("http://www.google.com"); works but in IE versions 7 and 8 it just hangs. I need to use Action Script 2 because I have alot of code that doesn't work in AS 3. Thanks!

    I've got a list of listings at the end of my document following my list of tables and my list of figures. The thing that is really annoying me is that they look the same except the list of listings doesn't leave a line gap between chapters. I've had a good google around and people have asked the same question but don't seem to have had any response. Is their any reason why they don't look the same and it be made to look concise?
