I have justified it on the grounds that we will catch integration errors more quickly, and will also always have a working dev copy of the system with the latest changes. But some still don't get it.     I need to find some strings that the current version of Windows is using. For example, when I create a new folder, it is initially named "New Folder" on English Vista. I need to programmatically find what that folder would be named on any language and version of Windows that I might be running on. Anyone have any ideas how to do that?

  • Visual studio 2010 ajax control toolkit tab container

    Hi. We just upgraded to visual studio 2010 RC1 and all of a sudden our controls inside tabcontainer disappeared from the designer file. Actually, it all seemed good in the beginning, the project compiled nicely, but as soon as we did any change in the markup of a page and build the code for the controls inside the tabcontainer disappeared and we got errormessages like so "Error 3 The name 'ddlPeriodicityStartInMonth' does not exist in the current context " Does anyone know if any changes are made to tabcontainer to visual studio 2010 or if this just is a bug?     Hi There I need some help I am looking for a regex that would match the last space character in a string. I am using Javascript and Classic ASP If there is someone that could maybe point me in the right direction I have a long string of text which I trim to 100 characters. I would like to remove the last character to avoid a spelling mistake if the trim cuts a word due to the 100 characters limit regex.replace(/[ ]$.*?/ig, ''); Anybody with ideas? Thanks

    I get the following error: "One or more types required to compile a dynamic expression cannot be found. Are you missing references to Microsoft.CSharp.dll and System.Core.dll" I do have System.Core.dll, do have I to find Microsoft.CSharp somewhere? It wasn't part of the project and it isn't in the references list.

    I've a bash script that runs a ruby script that fetches my twitter feeds. ## /home/username/twittercron #!/bin/bash cd /home/username/twitter ruby twitter.rb friends It runs successfully in command line. /home/username/twittercron But when I try to run it as a cronjob, it ran but wasn't able to fetch the feeds. ## crontab -e */15 * * * * * /home/username/twittercron The script has been chmod +x. Not sure why it's as such. Any ideas?

    Hi, We have a created a subsite to the SharePoint 2010 Mysite (used blank site) called "home". This site uses the mysite.master master page. The problem is the top link (navigation) bar from MySite is not showing up on the subsite... Any ideas? If I open the home site in Share Point Designer - the navigation bar does show up... But not in the browser... Any help would be greatly appreciated! Terry

    I can do element-to-element binding in WPF: For example, I've got a window that has a slider control and a textbox, and the textbox dynamically displays the Value property of the slider as the user moves the slider. But how do i do this across seperate windows (in the same project, same namespace) ? The reason is that my main application window containing the textbox has a menu option that will open an 'options' window containing the slider control. Thanks.
