  • Controlling number of downloads on Amazon S3

    Is there a way to control number of downloads of digital content on Amazon S3 or via some middle man software that talks to S3? I already use their timed links, but I would like to control number of downloads also. Any ideas of how to accomplish this using S3 or suggestions about alternative services that could? Thanks!

  • Searchlogic cannot sort search result

    Imagine a code: search = Project.search( :title_or_description_or_child_name_or_child_age_or_inspiration_or_decorating_style_or_favorite_item_or_others_like_any => keys, :galleries_id_like_any => @g, :styles_id_like_any => @st, :tags_like_any => @t ) search.all returns the rows correctly. But search.descend_by_views returns nil. Is this gem buggy? What else should I use then?

    Hello, I am using $data in all my views $this->load->view('my_view', $data); I have also autoload a Controller following this guide Extending Core Controller But I want to make $data global because in views there is a sidebar which is constant for whole project and displays info fetched through db in autoloaded controller Currently I have to manually write $data['todo'] for each and fetch info from autoloaded model.     When I checkout, checkin, rename soemthing in Vs 2008 SP1 while I have the project open in Expression Blend 3, these changes are not updated in Blend until I close and reopen the solution in blend or I try to checkout/checkin an item that is aready checked out. Is this a known bug? And is there a workaround?

The first environment is Spring 2.x based while the other has no spring at all.     hi, im a bit new at extension development, but im about to embark upon a project to build a ffox extension. Does anyone know if its possbile, with minimal adaption, to make a firefox extension compatible with ie8 as a plugin and if so, are there any caveats i should be aware of? I guess its just javascript code wrapped around the ffox or ie8 wrapper, but would really appreciate to learn from someone who has experience. Cheers Ke

    I would like to use the following to target the last link (a) of the last ul inside my div. So this is what came to mind: #menu ul:last-child li a { /*.....*/ } I cant manually add a class to that element, and even if i wanted to do it dynamically i would still have to target the element the above way.     Hi, I've lately installed Windows 7. After opening my old C# project in visual studio i noticed that my buttons are too small (button.text didn't fit in). Why the hell did MS increase the standard font size (well font size is still set to 8, but it's somehow bigger now)? Can I fix it somehow, without correcting all my buttons etc. manually?   • Is it possible to export/import product categories in Magento?

    I saw one other question on how to do a mass import of products, categories, and all that, but all I want to be able to do is import my categories from one store to another. When you export products I see that there is still a category ID attribute that it gives the products, but I don't see any options for exporting product categories. I assume the simplest way would be to just copy over the tables with SQL, but when I export/import through phpMyAdmin it never works.... Any ideas? Thanks, Chris

I don't really like template systems that force you to make use of another language just to make it easier for designers (apparently).     Hi, I am working on wpf propertygrid(PG) control and I want the PG to support collection type(IList, ObservableCollection etc.) properties. I am bit confused on how to keep track of selected item(of that collection) and pass that to client. Any ideas? If the solution makes use of the Open Source WPF PropertyGrid (http://www.codeplex.com/wpg) I will implement the changes /additions back into the control.
