  • Could not load file or assembly FSharp.Core, Version=4.0.0.0

    I'm trying to deploy a web application which uses F# 4.0 on Windows Server 2008. It works on my computer where VS2010 is installed but it doesn't work on the server. Everytime you open the page you'll get this error message: Could not load file or assembly 'FSharp.Core, Version=4.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified. I've installed .NET 4 using the web platform installer. F# PowerPack is installed too. I found this page: http://connect.microsoft.com/VisualStudio/feedback/details/507202/error-in-working-with-f It suggests you to reinstall F#, but the link to download F# seems to be broken. And it might not be the same problem I have. I've also tried to install Microsoft F# 2.0.0.0 since it's the only F# redistribution I could find. But it doesn't help at all. Has anyone get something like this to work? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

  • SFx Server Did Not Reply

    have the following problem : For a project I've tentatively created a Silverlight 5 web application and successfully integrated a WCF service. So far so good , in the Visual Studio 2012 environment everything works as intended. The data is processed. Now I wanted to see if it all works well on IIS 7.5 . When I called the test page and spoke to the WCF service Error 405 - Method not allowed occures. After searching I solved the problem with a module allocation for *.svc .                       So, then comes the error 405 although no longer , and the service also reports the status 200 - OK . Unfortunately, the application still does not work . Now this error is reported in Silverlight : The server doenst reply a meaningful response , which may be caused by a non- matching agreement , a premature session shutdown or an internal server error . No idea what I must adjust or change now. Have read on one of the few sites on the topic that is ClientConfig blame, as they would continue as a reference for the *.xap file is valid after publishing , and not used WebConfig ... But according to the error message above, it seems to be problem in the ServiceModel.dll ... Please , can anyone help me resolve this error? Thank you, Roland I uploaded my project.   • What is Causing This Memory Leak in Delphi?

    I just can't figure out this memory leak that EurekaLog is reporting for my program. I'm using Delphi 2009. Here it is: Memory Leak: Type=Data; Total size=26; Count=1; The stack is: System.pas _UStrSetLength 17477 System.pas _UStrCat 17572 Process.pas InputGedcomFile 1145 That is all there is in the stack. EurekaLog is pointing me to the location where the memory that was not released was first allocated. According to it, the line in my program is line 1145 of InputGedcomFile. That line is: CurStruct0Key := 'HEAD' + Level0Key; where CurStruct0Key and Level0Key are simply defined in the procedure as local variables that should be dynamically handled by the Delphi memory manager when entering and leaving the procedure: var CurStruct0Key, Level0Key: string; So now I look at the _UStrCat procedure in the System Unit. Any help or explanation here will be much appreciated.

  • MVVM Prism Nested Regions Can't Find Child Regions

    I have a Menu (Telerik RadMenu) that has nested regions defined in the Shell. In my modules I will register the modules menu or toolbar items with these regions. Everything works fine for the root regions, but when I try and add something to a child region, such as the File region on the Menu, I get the error "The exception message was: The region manager does not contain the FileMenuRegion region." However like I said if I change this code regionManager.Regions[RegionNames.FileMenuRegion].Add(menuItem); to this regionManager.Regions[RegionNames.MainMenuRegion].Add(menuItem); everything works fine. Below is the XAML for my menu so you can see the region names and how they are constructed. Any help would greatly be appreciated as this is bewildering and driving me crazy.   • JavaFX Datagrid

    Hi All. Im in the verge of starting a new RIA development. We've been using Flex/Flash for the last 2 years but we were considering using a more OS approach so we though giving JavaFX a try since it seams the only solid option available. However after a couple of days of research we found out that there is not such thing as a datagrid for it, at least not in the core API. For those unfamiliar with Flex, a Datagrid is a component that allows you to display a collection of data in column-row layout (much like a HTML Table on steroids). The beauty of it is that you only need to worry about the data itself as the component does pretty much the rest (sorting, column dragging, etc). Im afraid to ask... but is there something slightly similar for JavaFX? We require nothing as fancy as Flex Datagrids/AdvancedDatagrids, we only require a easy, straight forward way to display grids of data that are able to have a little of interaction like clicking, sorting and that are able to display images, buttons, etc. without having to download a ton of different jars. If there isn´t something out there... This would be a shot in the back of the head to the idea of giving javaFx the chance to compete with flash on our project (which is sad). I really cant believe the SUN people didnt include something like this on the core API...

  • Refresh UltraGrid's GroupBy Sort on child bands when ListChanged?

    I am using Infragistics 2009 vol 1. My UltraGrid is bound to a BindingList of business objects "A" having themself a BindingList property of business objects "B". It results in having two bands: one named "BindingList`1", the other one "ListOfB" thanks to the currency manager. I would like to refresh the GroupBy sort of the grid whenever a change is performed on the child band through the child business object and INotifyPropertyChange.   • Unable to load UIView with initWithNibName in Apple SDK 3.1.3

    I am trying to load my UIViewController and corresponding UIView programmatically in the AppDelegate class. What is funny is that it worked before and then just stopped working. I am wondering if this is a bug in iPhone SDK 3.1.3??? This is a really annoying issue, and I was quite a ways along in a new project when I started having this problem and had to start over with a blank project and copy over all of my resources, when it started happening again... I have uninstalled iPhone OS 3.1.3 and reinstalled and the problem prevails... I also created a second UIViewController class and corresponding nib which DOES LOAD just fine... I am not sure why one works and the other doesn't it...   • VS 2010 VSTO Add in for EXCEL 2007 Won't load

    Hi everyone, We have an application that is built with Excel as the front end using the Office object model. We were using a C++ shim to load it as a COM add in for Excel 2003, but I've updated it to use the latest VSTO for Excel 2007. I've also been using VS 2010 for the latest version. The problem is that everything works great on my dev machine in debugger mode as well as just launching Excel 2007, but I cannot get it to run on any other machine (my current target machine is Win7, development is XP). I've created a ClickOnce deployment of the Addin, and I can see it in the list of COM Addins, but when I check on it to load it nothing happens. I re-open the Addins manager and it is un-checked. I've also tried setting in in the registry, but as soon as I run it, it sets the registry back to do not load. I've tried everything I can think of and searched all over the web but no dice. Any help would be appreciated!

    Hi guys, I'm adding several widgets to a Frame which is located in a tix.NoteBook. When there are too much widgets to fit in the window, I want to use a scrollbar, so I put tix.ScrolledWindow inside that Frame and add my widgets to this ScrolledWindow instead. In the 3.0 simulator (and 3.0 device), the image is not shrunk down correctly, even though I set the image view content mode to "UIViewContentModeScaleAspectFit". But the same code works fine in the 3.1.3 simulator / device. Who can help me with either of these two problems?

  • SSRS 2005 - Cascading parameters and default value update problem

    I have a report with cascading parameters. The first parameter is Finanical Period Type, being either Month or Week. The second parameter is a list of either financial months or weeks depending on what was selected for the first parameter. This all works well and selecting a series of different Financial Period Types in sequence correctly updates the second parameter's values. However I now wish to add a default value for the second parameter, which is once again dependent on the first parameter. So I've added an additional field to the dataset populating the second parameter called DefaultPeriod and set the second parameter's default value to be retrieved from the above field. The first time I select the Financial Period Type, the default is correctly set. However changing the Financial Period Type results in an updated list for the second parameter, but the default is incorrect. It remains set to the original default value, even thought the dataset has been refresh and the DefaultPeriod field is correct. This is both an issue in the IDE and on the Report Manager site.

  • Binding TabControl ItemsSource to an ObservableCollection of ViewModels causes content to refresh on

    I'm creating an WPF application using the MVVM framework, and I've adopted several features from Josh Smith's article on MVVM here... Most importantly, I'm binding a TabControl to an ObservableCollection of ViewModels. This means that am using a tabbed MDI interface that displays a UserControl as the content of a TabItem. The issue I'm seeing in my application is that when I have several tabs and I flip back and forth between tabs, the content is being refersh each time I change tabs. If you download Josh Smith's source code, you'll see that his app has the same problem. For example, click on the "View All Customers" button and scroll down to the bottom the ListView. Next click on the "Create New Customer" button. When you switch back to the All Customer view you'll notice that the ListView scrolls back to the top. If you switch back to the New Customer tab and place your cursor in one of the TextBoxes, then switch to All Customers tab and back, you'll notice that the cursor is now gone. I imagine that this is because I'm using an ObservableCollection, but I can't be sure. Is there any way to prevent the tab's content from refreshing when it receives the focus? EDIT: I found my problem when I ran the profiler on my application. I'm defining a DataTemplate for my ViewModels so it knows how to render the ViewModel when it is displayed in the tab... like so: <DataTemplate DataType="{x:Type vm:CustomerViewModel}"> <vw:CustomerView/> </DataTemplate> So whenever I switch to a different tab, it has to re-create the ViewModel again. I fixed it temporarily by changing my ObservableCollection of ViewModels to an ObservableCollection of UserControls. However, I would really still like to use DataTemplates if possible. Is there a way to make a DataTemplate work?

    I am trying to install a SSL certificate on IIS 7. I have download a free trial certificate. After that, this is the steps what I do: Click the Start menu and select Administrative Tools. Start Internet Services Manager and click the Server Name. In the center section, double click on the Server Certificates button in the Security section. From the Actions menu click Complete Certificate Request. Enter the location for the certificate file. Enter a Friendly name. Click OK. Under Sites select the site to be secured with the SSL certificate. From the Actions menu, click Bindings.This will open the Site Bindings window. In the Site Bindings window, click Add. This opens the Add Site Binding window. Select https from the Type menu. Set the port to 443. Select the SSL Certificate you just installed from the SSL Certificate menu. Click OK. This is the step where I get the message: One or more intermediate certificates in the certificate chain are missing. To resolve this issue, make sure that all of intermediate certificates are installed. For more information, see http://support.microsoft.com/kb/954755 After this, when I access the web site on its first page, I get this message: There is a problem with this website's security certificate. What am I doing wrong?

  • Asp.Net MVC2 RenderAction changes page mime type?

    It appears that calling Html.RenderAction in Asp.Net MVC2 apps can alter the mime type of the page if the child action's type is different than the parent action's. The code below (testing in MVC2 RTM), which seems sensible to me, will return a result of type application/json when calling Home/Index. Instead of dispylaying the page, the browser will barf and ask you if you want to download it. My question: Am I missing something? Is this a bug?     I have a really odd behavior here: I created a little popup dialog in jQuery UI, and in my test HTML page, it works flawlessly. When I click on the button, the popup comes up, covers the background, and remains on screen until I click on one of the two buttons (OK or Cancel) provided. So now I wanted to add this into my ASP.NET 3.5 app. I wanted to add it to a GridView inside a user controls (ASCX), which is on a page (ASPX) contained inside a master page. The jQuery 1.4.2 and jQuery UI 1.8.1 scripts are referenced on the master page: <body> <form id="XXXXXX" runat="server"> <Ajax:ScriptManager ID="masterScriptManager" runat="server" ScriptMode="Auto"> <Scripts> <asp:ScriptReference Path="~/Scripts/jquery-1.4.2.min.js" /> <asp:ScriptReference Path="~/Scripts/jquery-ui-1.8.1.custom.min.js" /> </Scripts> </Ajax:ScriptManager> I had to change this to use the Ajax script manager, since adding them to the as never worked. So in my gridview, I have a column with image buttons, and when the user clicks on those, I am calling a little javascript function to show the jQuery UI dialog: function showDialog() { $("#dlg-discount").dialog('open'); $("#txtAmount").focus(); } When I run this page in MS IE 8, I get a separate page, and at the top of the page, I get the contents of my , with proper background color and all. In Firefox 3.5.6, I do get the dialog as a popup. In both cases, the dialog page/popup disappears again after a second or less - without me clicking anything! It seems similar to this question but the solution provided there doesn't work in my case. This one here also seems similar but again: the solution presented doesn't seem to work in my case... Any ideas / hints / tips on what the h** is going on here?? Thanks!

  • Why doesn't TransactionScope work with Entity Framework?

    See the code below. If I initialize more than one entity context, then I get the following exception on the 2nd set of code only. If I comment out the second set it works. {"The underlying provider failed on Open."} Inner: {"Communication with the underlying transaction manager has failed."} Inner: {"Error HRESULT E_FAIL has been returned from a call to a COM component."} Note that this is a sample app and I know it doesn't make sense to create 2 contexts in a row. However, the production code does have reason to create multiple contexts in the same TransactionScope, and this cannot be changed. Edit Here is a previous question of me trying to set up MS-DTC. It seems to be enabled on both the server and the client. I'm not sure if it is set up correctly. Also note that one of the reasons I am trying to do this, is that existing code within the TransactionScope uses ADO.NET and Linq 2 Sql... I would like those to use the same transaction also.   • Using Crypt function Python 3.3.2

    In Windows and Python version 3.3.2, I try and call the python module like so: hash2 = crypt(word, salt) I import it at the top of my program like so: from crypt import * The result I get is the following: Traceback (most recent call last): File "C:\none\of\your\business\adams.py", line 10, in <module> from crypt import * File "C:\Python33\lib\crypt.py", line 3, in <module> import _crypt ImportError: No module named '_crypt' However, when I execute the same file adams.py in Ubuntu, with Python 2.7.3, it executes perfectly - no errors. I tried the following to resolve the issue for my Windows & Python 3.3.2 (though I'm sure the OS isn't the issue, the Python version or my use of syntax is the issue): Rename the directory in the Python33 directory from Lib to lib Rename the crypt.py in lib to _crypt.py. However, it turns out the entire crypt.py module depends on an external module called _crypt.py too. Browsed internet to download anything remotely appropriate to resemble _crypt.py It's not Python, right? It's me...(?) I'm using syntaxes to import and use external modules that are acceptable in 2.7.3, but not in 3.3.2. Or have I found a bug in 3.3.2?

  • Decoding ima4 audio format

    To reduce the download size of an iPhone application I'm compressing some audio files. Specifically I'm using afconvert on the command line to change .wav format to .caf format w/ ima4 compression. I've read this (wooji-juice.com) awesome post about this exact topic. I'm having trouble w/ the "decoding ima4 packets" step. I've looked at their sample code and I'm stuck. Please help w/ some pseudo code or sample code that can guide me in the right direction. Thanks! Additional info: Here is what I've completed and where I'm having trouble... I can play .wav files in both the simulator and on the phone. I can compress .wav files to .caf w/ ima4 compression using afconvert on the command line. I'm using the SoundEngine that came w/ CrashLanding (I fixed one memory leak). I modified the SoundEngine code to look for the mFormatID 'ima4'. I don't understand the blog post linked above starting w/ "Calculating the size of the unpacked data". Why do I need to do this? Also, what does the term "packet" refer to? I'm very new to any sort of audio programming.

  • How to use Application Verifier to find memory leaks

    I want to find memory leaks in my application using standard utilities. Previously I used my own memory allocator, but other people (yes, you Neil) suggested to use Microsoft's Application Verifier, but I can't seem to get it to report my leaks. I have the following simple application: #include <iostream> #include <conio.h> class X { public: X::X() : m_value(123) {} private: int m_value; }; void main() { X *p1 = 0; X *p2 = 0; X *p3 = 0; p1 = new X(); p2 = new X(); p3 = new X(); delete p1; delete p3; } This test clearly contains a memory leak: p2 is new'd but not deleted. I build the executable using the following command lines: cl /c /EHsc /Zi /Od /MDd test.cpp link /debug test.obj I downloaded Application Verifier (4.0.0665) and enabled all checks. If I now run my test application I can see a log of it in Application Verifier, but I don't see the memory leak. Questions: Why doesn't Application Verifier report a leak? Or isn't Application Verifier really intended to find leaks? If it isn't which other tools are available to clearly report leaks at the end of the application (i.e. not by taking regular snapshots and comparing them since this is not possible in an application taking 1GB or more), including the call stack of the place of allocation (so not the simple leak reporting at the end of the CRT) If I don't find a decent utility, I still have to rely on my own memory manager (which does it perfectly).

    I have taken backup of SQL Server 2008 DB on server, and download them to local environment. I am trying to restore that database and it is keep on giving me following error. An exception occurred while executing a Transact-SQL statement or batch. (Microsoft.SqlServer.ConnectionInfo) ------------------------------ ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: The media family on device 'C:\go4sharepoint_1384_8481.bak' is incorrectly formed. SQL Server cannot process this media family. RESTORE HEADERONLY is terminating abnormally. Operating system error 123(The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect.). Msg 3013, Level 16, State 1, Line 1 BACKUP DATABASE is terminating abnormally.
