  I have a JavaME application called ParseExample. I can't seem to access the files inside the project's folders using the code below. FileConnection fconn = (FileConnection) Connector.open("{__DIR__}service1.xml", Connector.READ_WRITE); Here is the structure: ParseExample -Source Packages -XMLCreatorExample.java -service1.xml --- I want to read and write to this file Sorry for the noob question. Am I using this wrong? What path should be used? Or is there any other class that is supposed to be used instead of this?

  Hello I just got started looking at Lua as an easy way to access the SQLite DLL, but I ran into an error while trying to use the DB-agnostic LuaSQL module: require "luasql.sqlite" module "luasql.sqlite" print("Content-type: Text/html\n") print("Hello!") Note that I'm trying to start from the most basic setup, so only have the following files in the work directory, and sqlite.dll is actually the renamed sqlite3.dll from the LuaForge site: Directory of C:\Temp <DIR> luasql lua5.1.exe lua5.1.dll hello.lua Directory of C:\Temp\luasql sqlite.dll Am I missing some binaries that would explain the error? Thank you. Edit: I renamed the DLL to its original sqlite3.dll and updated the source to reflect this (originally renamed it because that's how it was called in a sample I found). At this point, here's what the code looks like... require "luasql.sqlite3" -- attempt to call field 'sqlite' (a nil value) env = luasql.sqlite() env:close() ... and the error message I'm getting: C:\>lua5.1.exe hello.lua lua5.1.exe: hello.lua:4: attempt to call field 'sqlite' (a nil value)

• Escape doube and single backslashes in a string in Ruby

  Hello. I'm trying to access a network path in my ruby script on a windows platform in a format like this. \\servername\some windows share\folder 1\folder2\ Now If I try to use this as a path, it won't work. Single backslashes are not properly escaped for this script. path = "\\servername\some windows share\folder 1\folder2\" d = Dir.new(path) I tried everything I could think of to properly escape slashes in the path. However I can't escape that single backslash - because of it's special meaning. I tried single quotes, double quotes, escaping backslash itself, using alternate quotes such as %Q{} or %q{}, using ascii to char conversion. Nothing works in a sense that I'm not doing it right. :-) Right now the temp solution is to Map a network drive N:\ pointing to that path and access it that way, but that not a solution. Does anyone have any idea how to properly escape single backslashes? Thank you

I am trying to load the animation from inside the constructor of a CursorAdapter, so I can set it later assign it to certain children in the list. • Calling an svn update from a php script via a browser is not working

  Hey guys, I have two scripts. running an update and calling shell_exec('svn update') and shell_exec('svn st') running a mysqldump shell_exec('mysqldump params') The svn script is not running the update command, the svn st is printing results but not the svn update I tried to declare parameters when calling svn update eg 'svn update ' . dir . ' --username myuser --password mypasswd --non-interactive'; -- still nothing Played with most of the params If this is something related to binaries/permissions/groups, I don't see it. The mysqldump command works fine and is producing a file, so why isn't the svn updating the filesystem? Please do not advise using core SVN classes in PHP. This is not an option, I don't have complete control over the server and the module is not available. Thanks for your help, -hbt PS: important thing to mention here. The scripts works when called via the command line. It only fails when called via a web browser.

• RewriteRule being greedy

  I have been looking for an answer for a few hours now, so sorry if this was asked a ton of times, I missed it. I basically want to make a rewrite to ignore the first directory. That first dir in the path will be different so I thought I could use a regex. But my regex is matching all the way to the file name: RewriteRule ^([a-z]+)?/(.+)$ $2 [L] this works if I am one level deep: http://test.domain.com/one/index.php I get the actual index page of the root. Which is what I want. but if I were to go deeper: http://test.domain.com/one/two/index.php I get a message saying /index.php was not found. So it seems my regex is not stopping after the last [a-z]. I appreciate any help. This is Apache2 if that matters at all.

• Configuring Hadoop logging to avoid too many log files

  I'm having a problem with Hadoop producing too many log files in $HADOOP_LOG_DIR/userlogs (the Ext3 filesystem allows only 32000 subdirectories) which looks like the same problem in this question: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2091287/error-in-hadoop-mapreduce My question is: does anyone know how to configure Hadoop to roll the log dir or otherwise prevent this? I'm trying to avoid just setting the "mapred.userlog.retain.hours" and/or "mapred.userlog.limit.kb" properties because I want to actually keep the log files. I was also hoping to configure this in log4j.properties, but looking at the Hadoop 0.20.2 source, it writes directly to logfiles instead of actually using log4j. Perhaps I don't understand how it's using log4j fully. Any suggestions or clarifications would be greatly appreciated.

• Git is ignoring .git directories in subdirectories

  I'm using git as a backup tool and 'roaming profile' for my $HOME directory between laptop and desktop. My problem is that under my $HOME I have a Development directory with multiple git projects I'm working on. Git will not allow me to add the subdirectories .git folders. So to commit to these projects I have to push the changes into my $HOME git repo, pull on laptop (where they were created and .git dir exsits) and commit. I've read about submodules, but it's not really what I want. I just want the children .git folders to be treated like any old directory so I can move them around and back them up. Has anyone done this or have an idea how I would?

• Deploying Qt / MySQL application

  Hi everyone, I hadn't found a anwser on the web, so i ask to you. I am unable to run my compiled mysql driver on a deployment solution. On the pc A the app work fine when run with QtCreator, but via the .exe in the following working directory, the driver is not loaded : root/ -----/bin --------/app.exe --------/libgcc_s_dw2-1.dll --------/mingwm10.dll --------/QtCore4.dll --------/QtGui4.dll --------/QtSql4.dll -----/sqldrivers --------/libmysql.dll --------/qsqlmysql4.dll Whereas with libmysql.dll under bin/ driver is loaded. Now on the pc B, with no Qt or MySQL lib installation and with any of the 2 last working dir, the driver is not loaded. pc A : Qt 4.7 2010.05, Win 7 pc B : Win 7 Thanks for your help !

  I had the idea that I would write my GroovyDao as a grails service. Next I would write a MyJavaService in java and locate it in the java sources dir in my grails app. MyJavaService contains a instance reference to groovyDao for spring injection. I would wire up in resources.groovy the MyJavaService with a groovyDao = ref("GroovyDao"). Everything starts up fine. However if I make call to MyJavaService any Domain method like Domain.list() returns a Method not found error. Any help is appreciated.

  On Windows 7 I have an ant target that copies a xalan library into the jdk endorsed directory so that the next xslt transformation task can occur. The first time that the ant target runs, the xslt transformation fails. The second time it runs the jar file is already in the correct place and the xslt tranformation succeeds. The first time that the ant target runs, it looks like the file copied successfully. It feels like a timing issue, but I don't know what I can do to get around it.   Hi Frequenlty my work involves to VNC to a remote system and work on it. SInce i run command line apps on this remote system most of the time, i was wondering if there's an alternative software to command prompt which i could install on my local machine. Using this i should be able to create a session with the remote system and from then on all commands issued in command prompt should run in remote system. localHostdir -- should list the directory contents in remotehost active directory localhostapp.exe should run app.exe in remote host and display its contents in localhost command prompt I browsed a little and read about cmdlets in powershell. But it looks like i need to write a cmdlet for each app in the path (dir, mkdir, app.exe in the path). Correct me if am wrong. Once session is established, i simply need the commands invoked in local host to be run in the remote host and return the console output to local host. Please let me know if powershell + cmdlets are the only way THanks

• Manipulating source packages from Hackage how to easy deploy to several windowsboxes?

  Recently when I have found good sources packages for ghc 6.12/6.10 on Hackage I've been forced to do some minor or major changes to the cabal files to make those packages to work under windows. Besides to fork and merge my fixes with github, what seems to be the best way/ good enough practice to take these modified builds to a couple of other windows boxes that only has a basic haskell platform installed? I should prefer if I somehow could work with the cabal-install because that is what one normally use. Should one put the modfied build dirs on a shared/networked dir and mount from the targeted windows box? Say something like this: on machine prepare cabal fetch foo cabal unpack foo cd foo edit .cabal and .hs cabal configure cabal build On machine useanddevelopnormal cd machinepreparemount cd foo cabal install

  Hi, I'm trying to prompt users to run my installer, whenever they plug in my USB device. I'd like this to work on all (most?) Windows OSes. I have an autorun.inf file in the root dir of my USB key with these contents: [Autorun] ShellExecute=setup.exe Icon=setup.exe UseAutoplay=1 It doesn't seem to do very much at all. Well... it does change the icon properly, but nothing gets executed and the user doesn't get any prompts. I've tried it on both Windows 7 and Windows Server 2003. Any ideas?

My Android project has been built by using android create project command, using sdk 2.2. When I run my application for building the Android application I get the following message - build.xml:46: taskdef class com.android.ant.SetupTask cannot be found I have verified the sdk.dir path and the sdk-location path and both are correct.   All: I want to use kdiff to merge all files with a certain suffix (say *.c, *.h) and I want to do two things (turn off premerge and use internal:other) for all files with another suffix (say *.mdl). The purpose of this is to allow me to employ a type of 'clobber merge' for a specific file type (ie: un-mergable files like configurations, auto-generated C, models, etc..) In my .hgrc I've tried: [merge-tools] kdiff3= clobbermerge=internal:other clobbermerge.premerge = False [merge-patterns] **.c = kdiff3 **.h = kdiff3 **.mdl = clobbermerge but it still triggers kdiff3 for all files. Thoughts? An extension of this would be to perform a 'clobber merge' on a directory - but once the syntax is clear for a file suffix, the dir should be easy.

  hi, i have webpage in which a webpart contains a Chart control. the problem is chart control is rendered perfectly when i login as central admin. but when i login as another user with contribute permisson following problems occur. when i change webconfig as --- add key="ChartImageHandler" value="storage=file;timeout=20;dir=c:\TempImageFiles\;"--- page is not at all loaded. i get error like YOU ARE NOT AUTHORIZED TO VIEW THIS PAGE. when i change the wbconfig as --- add key="ChartImageHandler" value="storage=memory;timeout=20;URL=/_layouts/Images/MicrosoftChartControls/" --- the page loads fine but image is not rendered. A red mark appears in place of image. I tried all optins got by googling.. any more suggestions/help will be welcomed

  Versions: NetBeans 6.8, Scala Kit 0.16.1 When I compile my project, I get the following output: init: deps-jar: Compiling 2 source files to F:\MyProgramming\NorvigSpellChecker\build\classes compile: Created dir: F:\MyProgramming\NorvigSpellChecker\dist Building jar: F:\MyProgramming\NorvigSpellChecker\dist\NorvigSpellChecker.jar Not copying the libraries. To run this application from the command line without Ant, try: java -jar "F:\MyProgramming\NorvigSpellChecker\dist\NorvigSpellChecker.jar" jar: BUILD SUCCESSFUL (total time: 3 seconds) Of course, the libraries should be copied, so I can't actually run it by using this command line. I don't see any options to copy the library in the project configuration. The plugin uses Ant for building, but I don't have any experience with it; presumably it should be easy enough to tell Ant to copy the libraries. Here is build-impl.xml, what should I do in build.xml?
