  • Strange issue in header location redirect

    I have three websites hosted (example1.com, example2.com, example3.com) on a server. There is a page (test.php) on example1.com with just code below inside it: <?php header('Location:http://example2.com/a.php'); ?> When I browse test.php it goes to http://example1.com/a.php . it doesn't understand it is another domain url, it tried to find the page on itself. but when I put http://google.com instead of example2.com/a.php it works correct. I really get confused. What is the problem ? Should I set some configuration on the server? ( I am administrator of the hosting server ). Ps. The server is behind a pound server.     Hello, I've not run backups for the past dont't remember anymore years for my personal stuff until waking up lately and realising contrary to my prior belief: Actually. I care! :) Now I have a central data server at home where I want to attach an external media to, to which I want to save backups of my most important stuff, like years of self-written scripts, database dumps, you name it. I've tinkered with rsync+ssh over the last two years, also tried tar over ssh, but don't know the simplest and most easy to maintain way to do it yet. Heres my workload: A typical LAMP-Server (<5GB Data) which I'd like to backup fully so lots of small files connected via 10Mbit My personal stuff (<750GB Data) from a Mac connected via GE My passwords in an encrypted container (100Mb) from OpenBSD connected via serial-PPP My E-Mail from the last ten years (<25GB) as Maildir which I need to keep in readable format Some archives (tar.*) which I need to backup only once and keep in readable format (Deleted my ideas, as I'm here for suggestions) What I need: 1. Use an ssh-tunnel for data transfer 2. Be quick with lots of small files 3. Keep revisions 4. Be sure the data I save is not corrupted 5. Intelligent resume functions and be able to deal with network congestion :) 6. Compressed and optionally encrypted storage 7. Be able to extract data from backup easily (filesystem like usage would be nice) How would and with what software would you backup this stuff?   • timer_getoverrun() doesn't behave as expected when using sleep()

    Here is a program that uses a POSIX per-process timer alongside the sleep subroutine. The signal used by the timer has been set to SIGUSR1 rather than SIGALRM, since SIGALRM may be used internally by sleep, but it still doesn't seem to work. I have run the program using the command line timer-overruns -d 1 -n 10000000 (1 cs interval) so, in theory, we should expect 100 overruns between calls to sigwaitinfo. However, timer_getoverrun returns 0. I have also tried a version using a time-consuming for loop to introduce the delay. In this case, overruns are recorded. Does anyone know why this happens?   • firefox, jQuery ajax calls firing twice and never triggering success or error functions

    Hi, I am developing with the .NET framework, using jQuery 1.4.2 client side. When developing in Firefox version 3.6, every so often an one of the many ajax calls I make on the page will fire twice, the second will return successfully but will not trigger the success handler of the ajax call and the first never returns anything. So basically the data is all sent to the server and response is sent down but nothing happens with the response. Here is an example of the call I am making. It happens to any of the ajax calls, so there is not one particular that is causing the problem: $.ajax({ type:"POST", contentType : "application/json; charset=utf-8", data:"{}", dataType:"json", success:function(){ alert('success'); }, error:function(){ alert('error'); }, url:'/services.aspx/somemethod' }); }) From firebug, here are the headers of the first call which in firebug shows as never completely responding, meaning i see no response code and the loader gif in the firebug never goes away. I have seen this article about firefox 3.5+ and preflighted requests https://developer.mozilla.org/En/HTTP_access_control#Preflighted_requests In the article is says if a "POST" is made with any other content type than "application/x-www-form-urlencoded, multipart/form-data, or text/plain" than the request is pre-flighted. If this is the case, this should happen to all of my calls. Thanks

    I'm using dataannotations in an MVC2 app and am a little discouraged when trying to use RESX file resources for error messages. I've tried the following but keep getting the exception "An attribute [Required(ErrorMessage = Resources.ErrorMessages.Required)] [Required(ErrorMessageResourceName = Resources.ErrorMessages.Required, ErrorMessageResourceType = typof(Resources.ErrorMessages)] I keep getting that error message unless I replace ErrorMessageResourceName with "Required" instead of Resources.ErrorMessages.Required. Can anyone tell me if I'm doing this right?

    Versioning If your events changes you would create a new version of that event, and keep the old ones. To keep your domain code form being bloated with handling of all versions of events you would basically introduce a component that converts your events from previous to newer versions, and then apply them on the domain. Remember that events are things that actually happened in your domain so in most cases the information in deprecated events are valuable. I still haven't found any example of this. Any help?

  • Problem with Google App Engine Appstats

    I'm having an issue getting Appstats to work correctly. Using /appstats or /appstats/stats ends up in an infinite loop that keeps redirecting back to /appstats/stats. This results in a 404 error saying the page isn't redirecting properly. Any idea what the issue is? Here are the relevant lines in my appengine-web.xml.   • Can I tell git pull to overwrite instead of merge?

    As far as I see, git pull someRemote master tries to merge the remote branch into mine. Is there a way to say "Completely discard my stuff, just make me another clone of the remote" using git pull? I still want to keep my own repository and keep it's history, but I want to have a 1:1 copy of someRemote's master branch after that command.

I am attempting to clean out a table but not get rid of the actual structure of the table, i have the following columns: id, username, date, text the id is auto incrementing, I don't need to keep the ID number, but i do need it to keep its auto-incrementing characteristic. I've found delete and truncate but I'm worried one of these will completely drop the entire table rendering future insert commands useless. Thank you, Everybody!

  • JSON Feed Appears to be XHR when it should be JS

    I don't get why it'd doing this with the 2nd feed (appearing as a XHR call rather than just JS [looking at it in Firefox/Firebug]). The 2nd feed has the exact same MIME type as Flickr's JSON feed, yet the PortlandOregon.gov one shows as XHR and i get a NULL callback when using $.getJSON and if i use $.ajax with a 'json' or 'jsonp' type i get nothing at all. If i do the Flickr one i get the normal "[object Object]" callback. Whats going on? Please help! This has been such a headache for about a week.   • Version control: delete branches after merging?

    When you branch some code, finish working with the branch, and merge it back to the trunk, what do you do with the branch? Delete it from the repository? Keep it for reference? It seems like you would keep it for reference, but I imagine the /branches directory could get pretty cluttered. (If this isn't something people generally agree on, please comment and I'll make it a community wiki.)
