Is there any way i can install Win Xp with SP 2 ?   Do I have to install WGA Notifications to receive all Microsoft updates? I currently don't have it on my hard drive, and I get a notification from Microsoft Update urging me to validate my copy of Windows XP. If I don't validate my copy, I don't get all updates. When I click the link however, I get an ActiveX error message. (Yes, I'm doing this in IE8.) Could this have something to do with my decision not to install WGA Notifications?

• Word Opening Text Files by default as RTL, should be LTR

  I've noticed recently that Microsoft Word 2007 on Windows XP is opening by default straight text files as RTL instead of LTR. These are English written files, and contain no Unicode or characters other than ASCII. I work in three or four languages on the computer so have the language bar open, this problem happens when the language is selected to EN (United Kingdom). Is there a setting I'm missing somewhere, perhaps in Word itself?

  My users are running on windows XP 32bit. normally WSUS automatically download and notify them to select which update want to install in the past they were in local administrator rights,now I reduce them to user rights so now they can't see the yellow notification said updated are available. Is there a way to give users permission to see the yellow notification and they can select updates by hand without local admin rights or power users? Any advice would be appreciated Thanks

  In Excel 2007, when I click a hyperlink, it opens in IE. I'm running XP Professional SP3. Firefox is set as my default browser. Links in Word and Outlook open in Firefox.   Is it possible to use ntbackup.exe (Windows XP SP3, 32) with two incremental backup plans? An example: "My Documents": every day, incrementally to D:\My_Documents.bkf Drive C: every month, incrementally to D:\All.bkf As far as I understand it, ntbackup.exe marks files as having been backed up in the file system. Thus, two incremental backup plans would interfere in a bad way. So, I assume that the answer to my question is: No But maybe I'm wrong...

• Media Center keeps re-recording movies when they reappear in the Guide

  When I record a movie in Windows Media Center, it records it again every time it shows up in the Guide listings again - days, weeks, or months later. The movies are not listed as a Series (Recorded TV - Schedules - Series). I found many matches for this problem on Google, and no solutions. Windows XP SP3 w/all current updates; MCE 2005 w/all current updates.
