Since browsers have a culture setting that the web app uses to decide which locale to use, should I still have a "language" button for users to be able to override the culture? To me it doesn't make sense to have a button there if the user had already set their language in their system.

• Update an Android market app to lower sdk?

  I have an app on the market that requires sdk 2.0 I want to rewrite and publish it using 1.6 to find a wider audience. The question is: if I update my already published app with an sdk downgrade to 1.6 will it then show up to users with phones at 1.6? I know currently the market search shows my app only to those that have 2.0 phones.

• Google Maps Info Box - Can it exist outside the map container?

  I've got a Google map, standard fare really. It's quite small though and the popup info windows on the markers are quite big, so my question is, is it possible for these popup windows to spill out the edge of the map and on to the actual website? (See dodgy photoshop job for an example). Thanks!

  i am using this code:: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/3033324/c-serialport-question/3033402#3033402 to check what port my USB phone is connected to. supposedly USB would be a virtual com, but this seems to be incorrect i used the above code to detect where my phone is and the output is just garbage. is there a way for me to get c# to speak to my usb port so that i can speak to the gsm phone connected to it?

I need the first row inserted every day for the past X days. one of my columns is a timestamp, which i hold the time inserted, and another column is the row id. • How to load image data from resource bitmap file for directshow filter ?

  I need put one bitmap image to my directshow filter. Then user can use this bitmap image and do not care where is it. First, I import this bitmap file into resource bundle, and get one IDB_BITMAP1. Then, I need to read this IDB_BITMAP1 using opencv cvLoadImage or some windows image API to load this image into buffer. So question is how to do this ? Or is that possible ? Thanks
