    Assume I'm working away from the office; its a hotel computer Windows 7, Office 2010 and fast - so the best possible conditions. Using Companyweb - Every time I open a document, I have to go through the logon process - seems odd to have to do that. Is this a 'by design' feature or is something wrong with my configuration? When I do open the documents, are they being stored somewhere locally and should I be looking to delete on this computer - or are they in a temporary file?

    I have two servers, let's call them first and second. First one is where the real development is done, and second one should be the replica. What I would like to do is put "git push" in post-receive, but there is one problem. Post-receive is executed as the user doing git push to first server, so I can't chmod 600 ssh key with no pass. I don't have cable in my area and don't want to go with Sky. What options do I have, if any? UPDATE My TV has an HDMI connection. If a netbook is the best or only way to do this, which one would you recommend for connecting to my TV?

    Hi, I have Windows 7 64bit, 8gb ram and 1152mb is hardware reserved which leaves me with 7039mb of physical memory available as I can see on the task manager. What is the advantage or disadvantage of keeping it this way? If I disable it from the MSCONFIG, the hardware reserved comes down to 1mb. Well, which way I should keep it for best performance in all meanings considering that nowdays, 8gb is still a lot. Could someone explain the easy way please?

What is the best method to deploy software that has no .msi installer, but has switches for silent installs All I can think is to use startup scripts (that will do detect-install/uninstall/upgrade), but I was wondering if there are existing wheel designs in this area...     On Linux, we can simply do: cp -pr directory How to do that in Windows? Can it be done in Windows Explorer? Any GUI tool suggestions? It would be the best if I can keep the NTFS permissions and creation/modification/access time. At a minimum, I need to preserve the modification date for the files and the directories. Windows Explorer's copy does not preserve the modification date for directories.

    Hello, I'm trying to sync my music collection between my mac and my linux workstation but fails to mirror from my server share to linux. rsync -avz --progress Music/ /volumes/myserver/music works fine but the reverse on my linux ws doesnt. rsync -avz --progress /path/to/samba/share/music/ ~/Music does nothing.. They are being very aggressive and using a lot of resources, so I'm going to set up some rules in nginx to block them by user agent. Question: which response code should I return, 403, 444 (empty response in nginx) or something else? I'm wondering how the spiders will react to different status codes. What's the best practice?

    What is the best way for me to migrate my VMWare Fusion Bootcamp Partition to a new MAC. Preferably I would like to import the current bootcamp partition in as a strict virtual machine on the new mac, instead of in bootcamp. The "older mac" is about two years old, so I don't think there will be any compatibility issues, but i do not have enough disc space on the old machine to import it as a virtual machine, and then migrate it.   • OpenTK C# Loading Model (3DS?) for display and animation

    For the last few days i have been searching for a model importer that support skeletal movement using OpenTK (C#, OpenGL). I am avoiding writing it myself because firstly i am only just learning OpenGL, but also because i don't see why there's a necessity in recreating the wheel. What do you guys use to import your models? I find it interesting that 90% of OpenTK users will import models for various projects, yet i havn't found a single working importer. Could any of you share your code or point me in the direction of a good loader? 3DS files would be best, but anything that can be exported from an autodesk program would be fine, as long as it uses skeleton animation.
