  Right now I'm forced to read all the tweets in a single client on a single device (TweetDeck on my Android phone). If I would switch to another device and/or client, I would need to search for the last unread tweet, which is sometimes complicated (too many tweets). So, the question: Is there a client who can keep the status (read/unread) on tweets across multiple devices? My target systems would be now Android and MS Windows, but also Linux might be handy.

• Can I use BitLocker on a Windows 8 Tablet? How?

  I hear that Windows 8 Pro can use full disk encryption. I also understand that Win8 is targeting the "slate" / "tablet" form factor specifically. But all my previous experience with BitLocker requires you to put in some kind of PIN or password at boot time -- how can I do this without a (hardware) keyboard? This preview of an upcoming Win8 tablet mentions BitLocker but doesn't address the PIN issue. Am I missing something?

  Error can be seen here: http://djaffry.selfip.com:8080/ If i go to the folder /srv/twingle/search and do ls -l I get -rwxrwxrwx 1 root root 65142784 May 26 20:28 words.db I gave it 777 access (absolutely unsafe, I know, but I thought it would atleast work) any idea what can be the permissions problem? Edit: A very strange problem is that the code doesn't crash once every few refreshes.. then goes back to crashing

  I have a few Window XP clients that are part of a domain, when trying to set the permissions on the security tab and pressing location to search the AD for users it only presents the local machine... So I follow this path Right click folder Properties Security Add in the locations field where I would normally see the windows domain, I am only seeing the local machine name??? So only users that have a local account can be added to the folders permissions... Any tips would be appreciated

  I use and love gmail. However, since i use email for customer support, I'm always doing a cross reference lookup via the search feature to see my past conversations with the person whose email I'm reading. I'd love to have a right sidebar widget that shows me, for any email I choose to read, the list of previous conversations/emails with that person. Is this possible? I'm using Chrome Ideally, this sidebar would bump or replace the contextual ads that now display over there.

• Why would my 15" MacBook Pro suddenly ask me to Hard Quit while I was in a browser?

  I was in Firefox looking at a search I had performed in eBay and all of a sudden, the screen grayed out starting from the top down. In the middle of the screen was a box with about 5 different languages saying I had to hard quit my computer. I tried other keys on my computer and nothing was working so I hard quit and restarted. • Collecting and viewing statistical data on website usage? Want to give Google Analytics the boot.

  I have always been somewhat reluctant to "outsource" site statistics to Google. We have an Apache server running on a Windows server. I am pretty sure all the foundation to collect the needed visitor data are there. I would like to stop using GA, and use some form of application where the data does not travel to a third party but remains at the host, or at least travels to the remote administrator, if it is a log analyzer in a browser.   when I install stuff under built-in Administrator - the other users cannot see the changes. for example I changed VS2012 install - added Blend and few other features - and they are invisible under another user - my 'Microsoft account' ... Here in my home network we have a Windows 2008 R2 server with the DNS role enabled.   I'm having an issue where my Exchange Edge Transport server receives mail (found in logs) and then it vanishes, never ending up in the users mailbox, I have a edge subscription setup between it and the main Exchange server, how can I go about tracing the message to figure out what is broken? I also have found records of the message in the logs on the main Exchange server. Thanks a ton for any help Edit: If I change port 25 on my main router to point to the main exchange server as opposed to the Edge Transport, email comes through fine form external domains and delivered in the correct mailbox

  I did some reorganisation of my mail in Lotus Notes 7 this mornign, and seem to have lost some in the process. Not knowing Notes very well, I have two questions: if I selected some mail in the Inbox using the check-column, and dragged that mail into a folder, then selected some more mail in the Inbox, and hit the Del key, will the group of emails that were dragged into the other folder be deleted too, because I didn't unselect them? is there a way to search in all folders, rather than just the current folder?

• How remove/de-index a page from Google?

  On the results page when I Google "e-luminate", the 3rd and 4th link seems to point to specific directory deep within the folders which stores the images. How can I get rid of these 2 results from Google search results? How can I get Google to de-index it? I checked on the server and the folders did not seem different from other folders but these 2 paths seems to get indexed by Google. Thank you.
