  • Connecting to remote mysql database with API

    I am designing a desktop application in C#, which needs to be connected to my online mysql database. I tried to give access in control panel a "%" which means from any IP, but it is not working. May be the hosting provider (bigrock) not allowing that. Alternatively, I am trying to write some code in online on PHP which will get the "sql" as parameter and returns the output as JSON format using json_encode. Is there any alternate methods which is better approach.

In particular, how do you write the following function? def filter_through(s, ext_cmd): # Filters string s through ext_cmd, and returns the result. # Example usage: # filter a multiline string through tac to reverse the order. filter_through("one\ntwo\nthree\n", "tac") # => returns "three\ntwo\none\n" Note: the example is only that - I realize there are much better ways of reversing lines in python.

I don't mind using the API or the webservices or Sharepoint's database. if i were to write a function, it's signature would be: //get a GUID from path. string GetGuidFromPath(string path){} I had a lead: SPContentMapProvider but it doesn't seem to get the right info.     Okay, so I've figured out how to get my external ip using wget: wget -q -O - http://whatismyip.com/automation/n09230945.asp that outputs the ip to the command console. adding currentip.txt to the end will write it to a text file. But what I want to do is use netsh interface ip set address name="Local Area Connection 2" source=static addr=[WHAT DO I PUT HERE] Also, a way to make the command prompt not flash would be nice too :)

    I need to sort a 2 dimensional array of doubles on multiple columns using either C or C++. Could someone point me to the algorithm that I should use or an existing library (perhaps boost?) that has this functionality?     I am writing a functor F which takes function of type void (*func)(T) and func's argument arg. Then functor F calls func with arg. I would like F not to copy arg, just to pass it as reference. But then I cannot simply write "void F(void (*func)(T), T&)" because T could be a reference. So I am trying to write a trait, which allows to get proper reference type of T: T -> T& T& -> T& const T -> const T& const T& -> const T& I come up with something like this: template<typename T> struct type_op { typedef T& valid_ref_type; }; template<typename T> struct type_op<T&> { typedef typename type_op<T>::valid_ref_type valid_ref_type; }; template<typename T> struct type_op<const T> { typedef const T& valid_ref_type; }; template<typename T> struct type_op<const T&> { typedef const T& valid_ref_type; }; Which doesn't work for example for void a(int x) { std::cout << x << std::endl; } F(&a, 7); Giving error: invalid initialization of non-const reference of type ‘int&’ from a temporary of type ‘int’ in passing argument 2 of ‘void f(void (*)(T), typename type_op::valid_ref_type) [with T = int]’ How to get this trait to work?
