    As we Android developers know, the SQLiteDatabase execSQL method can execute only one statement. The doc says: Execute a single SQL statement that is not a query. For example, CREATE TABLE, DELETE, INSERT, etc. Multiple statements separated by ;s are not supported. I have to load in a batch of records, 1000 and counting. How do I insert these efficiently? And what's the easiest way to deliver these SQLs with your apk? I mention, there is already a system database and I will run this on the onUpdate event.     I am packing bytes into a struct, and some of them correspond to a Unicode string. The following works fine for an ASCII string: [StructLayout(LayoutKind.Sequential)] private struct PacketBytes { [MarshalAs(UnmanagedType.ByValTStr, SizeConst = 64)] public string MyString; } I assumed that I could do [StructLayout(LayoutKind.Sequential)] private struct PacketBytes { [MarshalAs(UnmanagedType.LPWStr, SizeConst = 32)] public string MyString; } to make it Unicode, but that didn't work. (Since this field is part of a struct with other fields, which I've omitted for clarity, I can't simply change the CharSet of the containing struct.) Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

    Hello there, Im having trouble with some Java, How do I give in default parameter values in java?. for example I have this in c++ DVD(int i, string t, int y, string d="Unknown"): Items(i,t,y),director(d){} and in Java I tried public Dvd(int i, String t,int y, String d="Unknown"){ super(i,t,y); director = d; } which fails to build.     I have a problem with querying MongoDB. In my code I have a method Get which has as a parametar a Dictionary. It should go through the database and query it, comparing string and then object. So, i always get a problem with this object part, QueryDocument won't take in an object type because it isn't an BsonValue. I have tried to cast it but it won't work. Do you have any suggestions ? No success with the CmsService object I tried to use EAGER fetch - no progress Is it possible to achieve the behaviour I'm expecting with the mapping provided above?   • Picture.writeToStream() not writing out all bitmaps

    I'm using webview.capturePicture() to create a Picture object that contains all the drawing objects for a webpage. I can successfully render this Picture object to a bitmap using the canvas.drawPicture(picture, dst) with no problems. However when I use picture.writeToStream(fos) to serialize the picture object out to file, and then Picture.createFromStream(fis) to read the data back in and create a new picture object, the resultant bitmap when rendered as above is missing any larger images (anything over around 20KB! by observation). This occurs on all the Android OS platforms that I have tested 1.5, 1.6 and 2.1. Looking at the native code for Skia which is the underlying Android graphics library and the output file produced from the picture.writeToStream() I can see how the file format is constructed. I can see that some of the images in this Skia spool file are not being written out (the larger ones), the code that appears to be the problem is in skBitmap.cpp in the method void SkBitmap::flatten(SkFlattenableWriteBuffer& buffer) const; It writes out the bitmap fWidth, fHeight, fRowBytes, FConfig and isOpaque values but then just writes out SERIALIZE_PIXELTYPE_NONE (0). This means that the spool file does not contain any pixel information about the actual image and therefore cannot restore the picture object correctly. Effectively this renders the writeToStream and createFromStream() APIs useless as they do not reliably store and recreate the picture data. Has anybody else seen this behaviour and if so am I using the API incorrectly, can it be worked around, is there an explanation i.e. incomplete API / bug and if so are there any plans for a fix in a future release of Android?
