• Iphone UITableViewCell selection background

  Hi, I'm developing custom tableViewCell for iphone, I used interface builder to design it and loaded in from code. It use custom background to show Cell Selection. It work ok expect form one small issue, there is a small rectangular area in left side dosen't show the custom image, but show default selection ( bule color ) in that area. Please take look at the image @ this link http://warunadesilva.com/fih/Untitled.png I selection image's with is 320px. Could anyone suggest possible solution for this problem, Thank you in advance.   I'm writing a little python script to get stats from several servers or a single server, and I'm using OptionParser to parse the command line input. #!/usr/bin/python import sys from optparse import OptionParser ... parser.add_option("-s", "--server", dest="server", metavar="SERVER", type="string", help="server(s) to gather stats [default: localhost]") ... my GOAL is to be able to do something like #test.py -s server1 -s server2 and it would append both of those values within the options.server object in some way so that I could iterate through them, whether they have 1 value or 10. However, if the user removes all of the OWN, WANT, and TRADE cards, they go to zero but it will leave the record in the database. I would prefer to have the record removed. Is checking after each "update" to see if all the columns = 0 the only way to do this? Or can I set a conditional trigger with something like: //psuedo sql AFTER update IF (OWN = 0, WANT = 0, TRADE = 0) DELETE What is the best way to do this? Can you help with the syntax?

• How to use a CTabCtrl in a MFC dialog based application ?

  I need to do something which i expected to be was simple - create a tab control which has 2 tabs, implying 2 modes of operation for my app. When user clicks on Tab1, he'll be presented with some buttons and textboxes, and when he clicks Tab2, some other input method. I noticed that there was a CTabCtrl class thats used in MFC to add tabs. However, once I added the tab ctrl using the UI designer, I couldn't specify how many tabs there'll be using property window. Searching on the net, I found some examples but all of them required you to derive from CtabCtrl , create 2 or more child dialogs etc and to write your own custom class. My question is, since I want to do something so basic, why couldn't I do it using the familiar Add Event handler/Add member variable wizard and then handle everything else inside my app's class ? Surely, the default CTabCtrl class can do something useful without needing to derive from it ?

• how to change display text in django admin foreignkey dropdown

  Hi all, I have a task list, with ability to assign users. So i have foreignkey to User model in the database. However, the default display is username in the dropdown menu, i would like to display full name (first last) instead of the username. If the foreignkey is pointing to one of my own classes, i can just change the str function in the model, but User is a django authentication model, so i can't easily change it directly right? Anyone have any idea how to accomplish this? Thanks a lot!

  I want to display text in a Silverlight application so that the user can copy and paste it elsewhere (as one is used to doing on an HTML web site). If I use TextBlock, then the user cannot cut and paste. Therefore I use TextBox, but it has a default border on it. I can remove the border with BorderThickness="0" like this: <TextBox Grid.Column="1" BorderThickness="0" Text="{Binding ViewModelBindingStringsBlockHelp}"/> which works great: However, when the user hovers over the text box to select the text, another border appears: I've found purported solutions but they seem to require pages of XAML. I'm looking for a simple solution like this: HoverBorderThickness="0" What is an easy way to hide the hover border on a Silverlight TextBox?

  Groovy adds each() and a number of other methods to java.lang.Object. I can't figure out how to use the Groovy metaclass to dynamically replace the default each() on a Java class. • Not able to pass multiple override parameters using nose-testconfig 0.6 plugin in nosetests

  Hi, I am able to override multiple config parameters using nose-testconfig plugin only if i pass the overriding parameters on commandline. e.g. nosetests -c nose.cfg -s --tc=jack.env1:asl --tc=server2.env2:abc But when I define the same thing inside nose.cfg, than only the value for last parameter is modified. e.g. tc = server2.env2:abc tc = jack.env1:asl I checked the plugin code. It looks fine to me.   Is there a way to make the scrollbar auto-hide when a user is not scrolling a webpage on an Android device, but make it visible when it is scrolling? Please note that Firefox browsers does have this behaviour enabled by default, it's just Chrome and stock(Samsung, HTC) browsers that don't. This is what I currently have: -webkit-box-flex: 1; width: 100%; overflow: auto; -webkit-overflow-scrolling: touch; And I can always see the scrollbar on the list (except in ffox)

• Autmatically create table on MySQL server based on date?

  Is there an equivalent to cron for MySQL? I have a PHP script that queries a table based on the month and year, like: SELECT * FROM data_2010_1 What I have been doing until now is, every time the script executes it does a query for the table, and if it exists, does the work, if it doesn't it creates the table. I was wondering if I can just set something up on the MySQL server itself that will create the table (based on a default table) at the stroke of midnight on the first of the month. Update Based on the comments I've gotten, I'm thinking this isn't the best way to achieve my goal. So here's two more questions: If I have a table with thousands of rows added monthly, is this potentially a drag on resources? If so, what is the best way to partition this table, since the above is verboten? What are the potential problems with my home-grown method I originally thought up?

Ideally, I would like to extract just the death rate statistics from each country XML DB (year and value).   I'm working on my first Symfony project with Doctrine, and I've run into a hitch. I'm trying to express a game with two players. The relationship I want to have is PlayerOne and PlayerTwo each being keyed to an ID in the Users table. This is part of what I've got so far: Game: actAs: { Timestampable:- } columns: id: { type: integer, notnull: true, unique: true } startDate: { type: timestamp, notnull: true } playerOne: { type: integer, notnull: true } playerTwo: { type: integer, notnull: true } winner: { type: integer, notnull:true, default:0 } relations: User: { onUpdate: cascade, local: playerOne, foreign: id} User: { onUpdate: cascade, local: playerTwo, foreign: id} That doesn't work. It builds fine, but the SQL it generates only includes a constraint for playerTwo. I've tried a few other things: User: { onUpdate: cascade, local: [playerOne, playerTwo], foreign: id} Also: User: [{ onUpdate: cascade, local: playerOne, foreign: id}, { onUpdate: cascade, local: playerTwo, foreign: id}] Those last two throw errors when I try to build. Is there anyone out there who understands what I'm trying to do and can help me achieve it?

• Netbeans source code formatting

  I am Netbeans user for PHP. I have installed Netbeans IDE 6.8. Everything is working well. There is an option in SOURCE -- FORMAT. This action formats the code properly. It is quite handy. Unfortunately, this functionality is not working for me. Whenever some php code comes in between, it additionally adding some empty rows in between and making it more untidy. Can you please help to set up the same functionality. Restore the settings to default.

• log4j.xml not found

  Hi , How can we specify were log4j has to look at when trying to find its xml configuration file ? It seems that by default, log4j looks into the root of a class folder, I can say that using the debug log4j functionality and running my application from the IDE. However, I don't have any class folder in my jar anymore. And the log4j.xml file is at the root of the jar. I have already tried to set the option -Dlog4j.configuration=log4j.xml but it doesn't work. Thanks !

  In a very busy PHP script we have a call at the beginning to "Set names utf8" which is setting the character set in which mysql should interpret and send the data back from the server to the client. http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.0/en/charset-applications.html I want to get rid of it so I set default-character-set=utf8 In our server ini file. (see link above) The setting seems to be working since the relevant server parameters are : 'character_set_client', 'utf8' 'character_set_connection', 'utf8' 'character_set_database', 'latin1' 'character_set_filesystem', 'binary' 'character_set_results', 'utf8' 'character_set_server', 'latin1' 'character_set_system', 'utf8' But after this change and commenting out set names utf8 call still the data starts to come out garbled. Please advise....

  I have an ASP.NET MVC 2 web application. There are two tables like "FIRST_KIND_OF_USERS" and "SECOND_KIND_OF_USERS". Both are mapped to the default aspnet_users table via UserId column. Each of them has it's own integer primary key column like "FirstKindOfUsersId". When a user is trying to add some data to the database, for instance, "Create a new Task" I would like to add a new row in Tasks table with "FirstKindOfUsersId" value. Where should I store or get this value? At the moment I have these possible solutions: Get "FirstKindOfUsersId" value by User.Identity.Name each time; Use SESSION[] for storing these values (Where and when should I save these ones?) And if I pick the 3rd one, how to save the necessary data property and at which stage?

  Assuming we have a polygon coordinates as polygon = [(x1, y1), (x2, y2), ...], the following code displays the polygon: import matplotlib.pyplot as plt plt.fill(*zip(*polygon)) plt.show() By default it is trying to adjust the aspect ratio so that the polygon (or whatever other diagram) fits inside the window, and automatically changing it so that it fits even after resizing. Which is great in many cases, except when you are trying to estimate visually if the image is distorted. How to fix the aspect ratio to be strictly 1:1? (Not sure if "aspect ratio" is the right term here, so in case it is not - I need both X and Y axes to have 1:1 scale, so that (0, 1) on both X and Y takes an exact same amount of screen space. And I need to keep it 1:1 no matter how I resize the window.)

In my view generatedsource tool i get the "" like this <tr><td><input size="50" id="ufile[]" name="ufile[]" type="file"></td></tr> when i submit the form i dont get the file name for the generated file type in my view page But i get the file name foe the one that is default What may be the problem?

• Is it valid for Hibernate list() to return duplicates?

  Is anyone aware of the validity of Hibernate's Criteria.list() and Query.list() methods returning multiple occurrences of the same entity? Occasionally I find when using the Criteria API, that changing the default fetch strategy in my class mapping definition (from "select" to "join") can sometimes affect how many references to the same entity can appear in the resulting output of list(), and I'm unsure whether to treat this as a bug or not. The javadoc does not define it, it simply says "The list of matched query results." (thanks guys). If this is expected and normal behaviour, then I can de-dup the list myself, that's not a problem, but if it's a bug, then I would prefer to avoid it, rather than de-dup the results and try to ignore it. Anyone got any experience of this?

Also i don`t bother about printer status. example out of paper, communication problem. Printer should not leave empty page. Example event 1 have 4 lines of data to print. While printing event 2, printer should print continuously instead of fetching next paper. My development environment VC++ and MFC.

  I've just followed this example from Wordpress and I have successfully added an extra Meta Box in Post interface, and the value is stored in DB. Now my question is, how can I retrieve and display the content of this meta box? I'm trying the following code: $intro = get_post_meta($post->ID, 'post_intro', true); echo $intro; But I get nada. What am I doing wrong? And while I'm here, does anybody know if I can place this extra meta box above the default text box in Wordpress post page?

• Redirecting user from an old web to another in Sharepoint

  Hi all: I want to add the ability to redirect users when they visit certain old sites. The URL of the old sites are unknown, but the server name is the same, e.g. Old site url: http://sharepoint/mySite/default.aspx New site url: http://sharepoint/myNewSite/... There are a lot of other pages within mySite, most of which must be redirected to the new site, but there are exceptions (e.g. user can still view the documents within the site). I thought I have to do this programmatically by somehow capturing the http request and read the url myself. Being no sharepoint guru, I had a quick google, and found that writing a web part is prehaps the best alternative for my situation. But I'm just wondering, given my situation and needs, is writing a web part, or something programmatically, really the ideal solution? Or is there a faster and quicker way to achieve what I want using Sharepoint? Thanks.
