    If I have the below sudoers entry usera ALL=(userb) NOPASSWD: /home/userc/bin/executable-file usera ALL=(userb) NOPASSWD: /home/userc/bin/link-to-another-executable-file When I log-on as usera and try running the below commands, it works sudo -u userb /home/userc/bin/executable-file but NOT the one below. sudo -u userb /home/userc/bin/link-to-another-executable-file Sorry, user usera is not allowed to execute '/home/userc/bin/link-to-another-executable-file' as userb on hostname. Any ideas?

    When I am installing software, I usually like to choose where it installs to, other than C:/Program Files...However, from time to time, I come across software that does not let you choose the install location...how can I get around this and choose the install location? This is handy in situations such as multiple partitions or separate system and data partitions, etc... Any ideas? Thanks! (using Windows 7)

  • Windows 7 VPN stops web browser

    Hi, I've just installed Windows 7 RTM and setup Windows VPN to work office. It all works fine except, when the VPN is connected, regular web access stops working eg: local web browser can't connect to anything. Disconnect VPN and web works again. I've tried re-ordering the priorities of network adaptors with no luck. I'm not sure where to look next. Any ideas? Brad

    I just generated a certificate with a CN and two subject alternative names (3 differents fqdn) and i always get a handshake failure, whatever the ssl version i use: 14177:error:1407F0E5:SSL routines:SSL2_WRITE:ssl handshake failure:s2_pkt.c:428: 14176:error:1409E0E5:SSL routines:SSL3_WRITE_BYTES:ssl handshake failure:s3_pkt.c:530: I'm now asking myself if IIS 5 on win2000 does really support those certificates, any ideas ?   • Remote Desktop won't maximize

    I use a laptop and I am docking and undocking frequently. Often when I connect to another machine using remote desktop, the screen size gets messed up when I dock again. By "messed up" I mean that it stays the size of my lap top screen (wide screen ratio). Clicking maximize will not get it to go full screen. Any ideas how I can reset this (other than a reboot).

  • Is there an IE8 setting for "minimum font size" to display?

    When I look at our website in IE8 the text we have set to display smaller doesn't display smaller. But when I use BrowserShots.org it shows IE8 renderings with the smaller text appropriately smaller. So I'm thinking that there must be some setting in IE8 for "minimum font size to display". It's not the the TextSize (set to Medium) or Zoom setting (I set/reset zoom to 100%). It's something else. Any ideas?

    I'm trying to install SQL Compact 3.5 SP2 after I've installed SQL 2012 RC0, on a x64 Windows 7. The x86 installer goes through fine. The x64 installer fails, with the error: "Error 25543.Failed to save changes to XML file c:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v4.0.30319\CONFIG\machine.config, system error: -2147024864" Note the \CONFIG (double backslash) where there should be a single backslash... any ideas why this is happening and how to solve it?

    Hi, I've created a form in a PDF with Adobe Acrobat Pro. When empy, I want to use it as a template which the user opens, fills in, and saves as a copy to preserve the blank state of the template. Here's the trick : I found both ways to make the document read only - the user can't save the form value, only print them make the document writeable, but in this case the document acting as a template can be modified too.   • How can I draw "perfect" squiggly lines in Photoshop?

    I want to create a logo that for the two "o" characters uses a series of squiggly lines in the the shape of an "o". Sketch: I did this with Paint but I obviously want consistency with the squiggly lines and close to a circular layout. Why squiggly lines? Well, it's to reinforce the word itself being "loose". Does anyone have any ideas how to tackle making this or tutorials that do similar things to word art?

    I would like to monitor an email server - not whether the port is open and receiving, but rather that a "canary" message sent every so often actually arrives somewhere else. I have had a problem with a server getting firewalled off and no one noticing that cron jobs are not coming from the machine for a few weeks. Of course, the machine itself cannot send out a notification if it is having problems, so this requires an outside service. Any ideas?

  • WSS audiences dont show all AD Groups

    Not all of my AD Groups are showing in the Audience list. I want to create a new audience based on if the user is in a group. Some AD groups show up, and others don't. Many the newer ones do not show up. My connection is pulling (im pretty sure) the whole AD via primary domain controller. MOS2007 win2003 Any ideas?

    I am getting the following error message when I try install my .NET assembly int SqlServer 2005. My .NET assembly references 'ChilkatDotNet2.dll' assembly. Msg 6544, Level 16, State 1, Line 1 CREATE ASSEMBLY for assembly 'myassembly' failed because assembly 'chilkatdotnet2' is malformed or not a pure .NET assembly. Unverifiable PE Header/native stub. Any ideas how to resolve, workaround?

    Is there any way to configure outlook to send messages without Outlook being open? We're currently using a system where the "Email Page" opens a outlook Sendto window. You can click "Send", but the message stays in the (Outbox) until you open Outlook. I'm trying to get around opening Outlook. Anyone have any ideas?

    Hello, I try to configure a file-type item for .axd filetype. There I have troubles with the associated class for this file-type. E.g. I have tried it with "XML-document" (xml-informations are included at the files with .axd) but it does not work. The .axd file will not be opened with the associated application.     Is it possible to include the config.tar (encompasses the rules before/after scripts…) instead of on a web server served through http:// - but included no the cdrom itself. Namely am trying to do something along the lines of: title Solaris kernel$ /boot/multiboot kernel/$ISADIR/unix install cdrom:/config/config.tar dhcp -B install_media=cdrom module$ /boot/$ISADIR/x86.miniroot Yet it seems Solaris only supports HTTP or NFS as the source for config.tar - and not the CDROM itself.   • How do I remove the Never-Ending Dropbox Folder?

    I don't know if this is an error with eclipse or dropbox, but I seem to be unable to delete a file folder within my dropbox folder. Somehow, there was a creation of over 8300 file folders, all duplicates of the previous folder. I tried deleting from both command line, and explorer but get the same error: I've also deleted the share from the dropbox website, and it deleted correctly from there, but during the sync from the client (my pc) to the site there is an error: Any ideas of what to do?
