  • jQuery plugins: How can I stop divs from overlapping?

    I'm using Masonry and Embedly plugin to display embedded content, I've put together an example in jsfiddle.net/anir/pBtbb/3/ It appears the Masonry plugin loads first and it causes the overlapping problem (they only show correctly when you resize the result window) I've read that I could use callback functions or retrigger Masonry once embedly has finished rendering content, but I don't know how to do it. Can you help me? Is there any other solution to fix this?

    I have a simple array like: var myArr=["one","two","three"]; an I have a counting loop, which increases the value of var i by one. What I want to do is print the next value from the array each time the loop runs, next to a text string, like so: alert('value number '+myArr[i]+); But for some reason I can't get this to work. The following code works, so I'm assuming I'm not calling the counter right: alert('value number '+myArr[0]+);

    After performing an ajax request if the input in the form was wrong I am trying to get this validatationTextBox to be focussed on and display an indicator message showing the problem. The code is: dijit.byId("passwordField").focusNode.focus() The form element is as mentioned a validationTextBox. The matter that is confusing me even further is that before in dojo 1.5, this piece of code was simply dijit.byId("passwordField").focus() and this worked fine. How can I fix this?

  • What is the best way to observe the scroll over an element with overflow set?

    It's simple to observe the documents scroll event but I can't seem to find anything relating to the scroll of any other element with css property overflow being set? To get around this myself i've been observing mousemove which only fires while you hold down on the scrollbar but this would need to be teamed with a mouse wheel observe also to get the full effect. Could anyone point me in the right direction for a better way of implementing this?

I am using "document.getElementbyId("myelement").click()" this is working fine in IE but FireFox is not supporting it. And i know that .click() will not be taken by firefox , but i dont have any other way to do it. Can u please suggest me with a workaround that will be accepted by IE as well as FF.     this is the code: Jsfiddle when you clear the url filed and leave it empty the input is hidden and disappear , need to return to the input tag wit h display if the value is empty by click or tab. i have a form with inputs the url input is edited by clicking on the link double click or click next to the link that means in the div area when it's done editing it converts the text to link the Problem: when you leave the input empty it make the attribute of the code and the input attribute hidden so no info is show neither can type an info. how can i make if that input with the id url0/url1 is empty to return to the input option to make it visible and can type?

  • Credit card validation with regexp using test()

    I'm trying to complete some homework and it appears the book might have gotten it wrong. I have a simple html page that allows user to pick a credit card in our case american express. The user then enters a number and evalutes that number based on a regular expression. My question ends up being when test() evaluates the number it returns a boolean or a string? I should then compare that string or boolean? True == true should fire off the code in a nested if statement. Heres what the book gives me as valid code: if(document.forms[0].cardName.value == "American Express") { var cardProtocol = new RegExp("^3[47][0-9]{13}$"); //REGEX ENTRY HERE if(cardProtocol.test(document.forms[0].cardNumber.value)) document.forms[0].ccResult.value = "Valid credit card number"; } The above code doesn't work in firefox.     hi, i have the following block of code: $("#contact_container form, #contact_details form").live( "submit", function(event) { $.ajax({ type: this.method, url: this.action, data: this.serialize(), success: function(data) { data = $(data).find("#content"); $("#contact_details").html(data); }, }); return false; } ; when i leave out the data: this.serialize(), it behaves properly and displays the response within the #contact_details div. however, when i leave it in, it submits the form, causing the page to navigate away. why does the presence of the data attribute negates the return false? (probably due to a bug that i can't spot...) also, is the syntax to my find statement correct? it comes back as "undefined" even though i use a debugger to check the ajax response and that id does exists. thanks, steve

The popup works just fine, but the message variable isn't populated, the plugin asks for a string as a value for the text option. What is the proper way to grab the message variable?
