  • Great Circle & Ray intersection

    - by Karl T
I have a Latitude, Longitude, and a direction of travel in degrees true north. I would like to calculate if I will intersect a line defined by two more Lat/Lon points. I figure the two points defining the line would create my great circle and my location and azimuth would define my ray (or possibly a small circle). Any ideas?

  • Remaining time of QTimer

    - by Exa
In one of my projects I am working with a QTimer and I wonderer whether it is possible to get the remaining time of a QTimer in order to let the user know "Time until next timeout: 10 secs" or something like that... Is that possible? If not so, has anyone good ideas for how to realize that? Maybe I got to write my own Timer...

  • Is there a free web file manager like Plesk or cPanel in ASP.Net

    - by Ron Klein
I'm looking for a free, open-sourced web application written in C#/VB.Net on top of ASP.Net, which functions like Plesk or cPanel when it comes to (remote) file management. Something that simulates a regular FTP client, but actually displays web pages over HTTP, with the following functions: Create Folder Rename File/Folder Delete File/Folder Change Timestamp ("Touch") Move Archive etc. I saw a few commercial tools, but nothing when it comes to OSS. Any ideas? links?

  • XCode: Delete line hot-key

    - by Typeoneerror
I'm looking for a way to map some hot-keys to "delete the line that my cursor is on" in Xcode. I found "delete to end of line" and "delete to beginning of line" in the text key bindings, but I am missing how to completely delete the line no matter what I have selected. TextMate has this functionality mapped to Ctrl+Shift+D and I'd like the same thing if possible. Any ideas?

  • Git: Can I commit my working directory to a new branch without commiting it to a current branch?

    - by Noli
Somewhat new at Git.. I am working on a project, and had all of my tests passing on the master branch. I then made some changes, and when everything started failing, I realized that maybe I should have made those changes in a different branch. Is there I way I can commit the changes to a new branch without commiting them to my master branch, so that the master still has my passing tests?

  • Is there a solution that lets Node.js act as an HTTP reverse proxy?

    - by Igor Zinov'yev
Our company has a project that right now uses nginx as a reverse proxy for serving static content and supporting comet connections. We use long polling connections to get rid of constant refresh requests and let users get updates immediately. Now, I know there is a lot of code already written for Node.js, but is there a solution that lets Node.js act as a reverse proxy for serving static content as nginx does? Or maybe there is a framework that allows to quickly develop such a layer using Node.js?

  • how to write unicode hello world in C on windows

    - by hatchetman82
im tyring to get this to work: #define UNICODE #define _UNICODE #include <wchar.h> int main() { wprintf(L"Hello World!\n"); wprintf(L"£?, ?, ?!\n"); return 0; } using visual studio 2008 express (on windows xp, if it matters). when i run this from the command prompt (started as cmd /u which is supposed to enable unicode ?) i get this: C:\dev\unicodevs\unicodevs\Debugunicodevs.exe Hello World! -ú8 C:\dev\unicodevs\unicodevs\Debug which i suppose was to be expected given that the terminal does not have the font to render those. but what gets me is that even if i try this: C:\dev\unicodevs\unicodevs\Debugcmd /u /c "unicodevs.exe output.txt" the file produced (even though its UTF-8 encoded) looks like: Hello World! £ì the source file itself is defined as unicode (encoded in UTF-8 without BOM). the compiler output when building: 1------ Rebuild All started: Project: unicodevs, Configuration: Debug Win32 ------ 1Deleting intermediate and output files for project 'unicodevs', configuration 'Debug|Win32' 1Compiling... 1main.c 1.\main.c(1) : warning C4005: 'UNICODE' : macro redefinition 1 command-line arguments : see previous definition of 'UNICODE' 1.\main.c(2) : warning C4005: '_UNICODE' : macro redefinition 1 command-line arguments : see previous definition of '_UNICODE' 1Note: including file: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 9.0\VC\include\wchar.h 1Note: including file: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 9.0\VC\include\crtdefs.h 1Note: including file: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 9.0\VC\include\sal.h 1C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 9.0\VC\include\sal.h(108) : warning C4001: nonstandard extension 'single line comment' was used 1Note: including file: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 9.0\VC\include\crtassem.h 1Note: including file: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 9.0\VC\include\vadefs.h 1Note: including file: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 9.0\VC\include\swprintf.inl 1Note: including file: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 9.0\VC\include\wtime.inl 1Linking... 1Embedding manifest... 1Creating browse information file... 1Microsoft Browse Information Maintenance Utility Version 9.00.30729 1Copyright (C) Microsoft Corporation. • No mic activity with setLoopBack set to false - AS3

    - by Franky
Trying to figure out why setloopback needs to be set to true for microphone activity to be detected. The problem is the echo feedback when using a macbook with a built in mic. If anyone has some ideas about this let me know. Right now I'm experimenting with toggling gain, depending on activity to simulate echo reduction. Not optimal though. @lessfame

  • Can't compare the norm of a vector to 1 in matlab

    - by Ian
I'm trying to find out wether a matrix is orthonormal. I begin by checking if the vectors are normal by doing for j=1:2; if norm(S:,j) ~= 1; return; % Not normal vector end end But when norm returns 1.0000 comparing that to 1 is true and the function returns, which is not what i want. Any ideas? Thx

  • Changing Name Associated With Past Commits In Mercurial

    - by Sean M
A friend recently had the occasion for a legal name change, which made me wonder about how to cope with that in a development environment, especially in regards to source control. Their legal name changed, so naturally their login name and associated identity stuff changed. If they were a team member of mine, I'd like to change the record of their past commits to the project to be consistent with their new name. Is that possible in Mercurial? In other version control systems?
