  A tough SQL question (I'm using postgres by the way). I need the first row inserted every day for the past X days. one of my columns is a timestamp, which i hold the time inserted, and another column is the row id. If it's not possible to get the first row inserted every day, i at least need a unique one; a single row for every day for the past x days. Any suggestions? Thanks okie

  Simple question...can the adp2 that I just bought through the Android Market be flashed with Android 2.0? I can't find anything anywhere.   Is there any short way to achieve what APT does in Python ? I mean, when the package manager prompts a yes/no question followed by "[Yes/no]". The scripts accepts YES/Y/yes/y or "enter" (defaults to Yes as hinted by the capital) The only thing I find in the official doc is input/raw_input.. I know it's not that hard to emulate, but it's annoying to rewrite :|

I downlodad the source and run python setup.py build but I get errors, related with numpy, which is not installed, so I decieded to install it first. I download and compile with python setup.py build My question now is, how do I tell to teh matplotlib installation where the numpy files have been installed? Thanks

  I have worked with random functions in python,ruby, MATLAB, Bash and Java. Nearly every programming language has a function to generate Random numbers. However, these apparently random sequences are termed as pseudo-random number sequences as the generation follows a deterministic approach, and the sequence seems to repeat (usually with a very large period). My question, can an algorithmic/programming process ever yield true random numbers ? The questions probably is more of theoretical computer science than just programming !

It just needs to be human-readable and it can have problems with complicated objects etc. It's almost a duplicate of this question but I need it to be small and have no dependencies on OpenOffice or X server I remember having a 1MB MS-DOS program that could render .doc files quite readibly (with some weird markup getting through from time to time), so i expect it to be possible in the linux world too ;)

But on zooming i continue see the triangle's under the skin, it's not smooth. I use OpenGL built-in minMapping.
