  • ActionScript shiftKey Not Working In Full Screen Mode?

  • SQL query to get field value distribution (mode)

    I have a table of over 1 million test score records that basically have a unique score_ID, a subject_ID and a score given by a person. The score range for most subjects is 0-3, but some have a range of 0-4. There are about 25 possible subjects. I need to produce a score distribution report which looks like: subject_ID 0 1 2 3 4 ---------- --- --- --- --- --- 1 967 576 856 234 2 576 947 847 987 324 . . So it groups the data by subject_ID, then shows how many times a specific score value was given within that subject. Any SQL pointers to generate this would be greatly appreciated.

    what is considered best-practice in this case? for (i=0; i<array.length(); ++i) or for (i=array.length(); i>0; --i) assuming i don't want to iterate from a certain direction, but rather over the bare length of the array. also, i don't plan to alter the array's size in the loop body. so, will the array.length() become constant during compilation? if not, then the second approach should be the one to go for..

    Hello all, I am moving a web app from gwt 1.5 to gwt 2.0. I am trying to connect to the a database resource I have in my context.xml file.In gwt 1.5 I had set up root.xml in tomcat-conf-gwt-localhost. I have no idea where to set up the resource in GWT 2.0. I tried placing my context.xml file in war-META-INF with no luck. Anyone have an idea where to place the context.xml file to be able to use a jndi database resource in GWT 2.0? Thanks in advanced

    I wrote a bunch of code in the .cs file in c# for a winforms application. The application runs fine, and everything is in it's place. Something like this: using.. namespace Temp { public class Temp : Form { Button b1; TextBox t1; Temp() { b1.Text = "Some Text"; b1.Size = new Size(50,20); ... } void function1() { // stuff } static void Main() { Application.Run(new Temp()); } } } How can I modify my code (or fix it somehow) so that the design view displays the elements in their correct positions and view so that I can visually edit them instead of having to trial/error everything. Edit for Clarification My application runs fine. The problem is, that I didn't use designer to create the application and so in the designer view, the app is empty. But not empty when I run it, since everything is positioned programmatically in the .cs file. My question is, how can I fix this, so that the designer shows the objects correctly. There is no quick fix other than to redesign everything?

  • Android debug mode not working waiting for device

    I'm trying to get my android phone working to run apps from inside an IDE. Got it working on windows no problem, currently working in fedora (18) a lot though so wanted to get it working with that. Got IntelliJ and android sdk installed, problem is when I try to run the default hello world app it wont work it just says waiting for device.. Ran adb devices got List of devices attached ???????????? no permissions Leads me to believe the driver isn't installed? Phone I'm using is a HTC Sensation. Does anyone know what I can do to try and resolve it? The HTC web page doesn't offer me drivers to install. Also noticed in /etc/udev/rules.d/..android.rules there is nothing about Sensation. Seems it recognises my nexus 7 though.. Edit: Tried my nexus.. got List of devices attached 901839238298923 offline So it doesn't even work with that.. confusing.. Any help would be appreciated.   • Forwarding activity result to parent, with singleTop launch mode

    I have two activities: a MainListActivity, and a DetailViewActivity. DetailViewActivity is set with android:launchMode="singleTop". When clicking an item in the "main list" activity, it launches the "detail view" activity via: startActivityForResult(detailIntent, REQUEST_CODE_DETAIL); If I then call setResult(RESULT_OK, resultData); and finish(); from within the Detail activity, that resultData is received by the "main list" activity's onActivityResult(..) method correctly. However, if I implement a "see previous"/"see next" type of navigation within the Detail activity, and implement it using singleTop, that result no longer gets sent back to the initial activity: Intent nextItemIntent = this.createIntent(nextId); nextItemIntent.setFlags(Intent.FLAG_ACTIVITY_FORWARD_RESULT); startActivity(nextItemIntent); // at this point, my DetailActivity's onNewIntent() method is called, and the new data is loaded properly But from here, when I call setResult(..) and finish(), my MainList activity never receives the new/updated result. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

Question: Can I some how set FlushMode to ALWAYS in session factory or somewhere else to avoid repeating session.flush() call? All DB calls in DAO goes with HibernateTemplate instance. JFileChooser fc = new JFileChooser(); fc.setFileSelectionMode(JFileChooser.DIRECTORIES_ONLY); if(fc.showDialog(singleton, SELECT) == JFileChooser.APPROVE_OPTION) { File folder = fc.getSelectedFile(); String path = folder.getPath() + File.separatorChar + MYAPPFOLDER; } Now there are 2 ways a user may select the folder Navigate to the folder and select the folder Navigate to the folder, go into the folder, and click select Both ways work fine on windows but on OS X, I get If I do 1 : path = Users/<username>/Desktop/MYAPPFOLDER If I do 2 : path = Users/<username>/Desktop/Desktop/MYAPPFOLDER How do I avoid this 2nd case?   • How do I run D3D9 programs (that have already been compiled) on a machine without the SDK?

    I have a simple 3D application programmed in C++ and D3D9 using MSVC++ 2008 Express. Some weeks ago, I had to format my hard disk, so the DirectX SDK is not currently installed. However, I found that the exe file that I found in my "Debug" folder for the project does not run. The error it gives is: "This application has failed to start because d3dx9d_38.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem." Of course, it worked after I installed the SDK. Then I compiled a "release build" thinking that that was the solution. Then I uninstalled the SDK and tried to run the .exe file. Still gave me the error. So how does one make such .exe files run on machines without the SDK?

  • Oh no, Not another Undefined Reference Question!

    Unfortunately yes. I have my shared library compiled, the linker doesn't complain about not finding it but still I get undefined reference error. Thinking that I might be doing something wrong I did a little research and found this nice, simple walkthrough: http://www.adp-gmbh.ch/cpp/gcc/create_lib.html which I've followed to the letter but still I get: $ gcc -Wall main.c -o dynamically_linked -L.\ -lmean /tmp/ccZjkkkl.o: In function `main': main.c:(.text+0x42): undefined reference to `mean' collect2: ld returned 1 exit status This is pretty simple stuff so what's going wrong?!?!? Can anyone suggest something in my set up that might need checking/tweeking? GCC 4.3.2 Fedora 10 64-bit

  • creating a full html file out of webloc in a batch mode

    Hi, I've got over 400 bookmarks saved as .webloc files. I'd like to move them to the iPhone's goodReader app. goodReader cannot open webloc files. It can sork with pdf, html but not webloc. Do you know of a way or a program that would take a folder as its input, and convert every single .webloc file in it into a PDF version or a html version - so I can grab the converted files and move them onto iPhone. (I think the default if this isn't set is /usr/local). However, I'm not sure what exactly it does or what a good setting to use is. I would very much like the game to run full screen, which is not a problem, but I am struggling with replacing flash default behavior when escape is pressed. When escape is pressed I would like to display a custom menu asking the user if they want to exit the game or continue playing, not just exit full screen more. Is this possible in Flash?
