  • IntelliJ 12 - Grails Distribution in specified path is broken

    - by Prayag Upd
I am struggling to configure grails 2.3.X in IntelliJ idea 12. Grails 2.2.X is configured successfully. Grails 2.3.2 is working properly from terminal. I can compile, test, run my application. But while trying to configure it in IntelliJ so that dependencies get resolved, I get the IntelliJ shouting straight to me(as pictured below). Looks like Grails Distribution in specified path is broken. Cannot determinate version. What I see is changes in grails-2.3.x/dist/ to earlier version's grails-2.2.x/dist/. Is this because there's no support for newer version(2.3.x) of grails in IntelliJ 12 or what ? I want nothing else but my application (jar) dependencies to be resolved in the IDE.

  • Grails, app-engine, jpa - beginner having trouble with grails generate-all

    - by John
I'm trying to learn about grails with Google App Engine and JPA by following a few tutorials: http://www.morkeleb.com/2009/08/12/grails-and-google-appengine-beginners-guide/ http://inhouse32.appspot.com/index.html http://grails.org/plugin/app-engine I've got grails 1.3.0 RC 2, and App Engine SDK 1.3.3, and I'm using Windows 7. The steps that I try are: grails create-app appname cd appname grails install-plugin app-engine. I answer jpa when asked about jdo/jpa. It appears to install the gorm-jpa plugin automatically, although the tutorials all suggest installing gorm-jpa manually. grails install-plugin gorm-jpa (just in case) grails create-domain-class test.Person Edit the grails-app/domain/test/Person.groovy to add name and address fields: package test import javax.persistence.*; // import com.google.appengine.api.datastore.Key; @Entity class Person implements Serializable { @Id @GeneratedValue(strategy = GenerationType.IDENTITY) Long id @Basic String name @Basic String address static constraints = { id visible:false } } grails generate-all test.Person I get errors during this final step: C:\Users\John\Workspaces\STS\appname>grails generate-all test.Person Welcome to Grails 1.3.0.RC2 - http://grails.org/ Licensed under Apache Standard License 2.0 Grails home is set to: C:\Users\John\Downloads\grails-1.3.0.RC2\grails-1.3.0.RC2 Base Directory: C:\Users\John\Workspaces\STS\appname Resolving dependencies... • JSON parser for J2ME

    - by Liedman
I need a basic JSON parser that works with J2ME / CLDC 1.1. A Google search returns tons of answers on this (some even on stackoverflow), but it appears that all point to libraries and solutions that are no longer available (for example, lots point to an implementation that is supposed to be on the json.org site, but at least I can't find anything that isn't J2SE only there). My best hope so far is the source linked here: https://meapplicationdevelopers.dev.java.net/mobileajax.html, but from that one I can't even find a straight forward way to download the code. Given the mature state of Java in all other aspects, surely there must be somewhere I can get a pre-compiled JAR to use for parsing JSON from J2ME?

  • Import Eclipse Plugin

    - by Timo
Hey everybody, I developed an Eclipse plugin (a view) using the plugin development version of Eclipse. I exported the plugin as a jar archive and now I would like import it in another version of Eclipse, but it doesn't recognize the plugin. This is my first plugin so I might have forgotten something obvious. I searched the internet for hours but didn't find anything. Does anybody know what else I have to do? Btw, the dependencies of my plugin are: org.eclipse.ui, org.eclipse.core.runtime, org.eclipse.core.filesystem, edu.tum.cs.eclipse.commons, org.eclipse.ui.ide, org.eclipse.core.resources The version I'd like to import it in is the default Eclipse for PHP Developers from eclipse.org. The feature list can be found on http://www.eclipse.org/downloads/packages/eclipse-php-developers/galileosr2 Thanks for you help!

Hello All, I am having tough time getting to read data from excel 2007. I am using XSSF to read data from a specific cell of excel but keep getting error - Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: org.apache.xmlbeans.XmlOptions.setSaveAggressiveNamespaces()Lorg/apache/xmlbeans/XmlOptions; at org.apache.poi.POIXMLDocumentPart.(POIXMLDocumentPart.java:46) This is my piece of code - public static void main(String [] args) throws IOException { InputStream ins = new FileInputStream("C:\\Users\\Tarun3Kumar\\Desktop\\test.xlsx"); XSSFWorkbook xwb = new XSSFWorkbook(ins); XSSFSheet sheet = xwb.getSheetAt(0); Row row = sheet.getRow(1); Cell cell = row.getCell(0); System.out.println(cell.getStringCellValue()); System.out.println("a"); } I have following jars added to build path - poi-3.6 poi-ooxml-3.6 poi-ooxml-schemas-3.6 x-bean.jar I could only figure out that "setSaveAggressiveNamespaces" has replaced "setSaveAggresiveNamespaces"....

  • Shared Cookies between WebView and HTTPClient?

    - by Arpit
An Android app I am building requires web authentication for users to make data calls. In Adobe AIR and later the iPhone, we did this by rendering a login page in a webview-equivalent page and setting a cookie when the user signs in. Subsequent data calls use the same Cookie Jar and so are seen as authenticated. In the Android version, I authenticate the user using a WebView and then once thats done, I make a data call using DefaultHttpClient, however I cant seem to load the data on the second call. Is there some cookie gotcha I am missing? I imagine the HTTPClient and WebView would share the same Cookie space. Am I wrong?

  • tomcat JAXB 1 and 2 linkageerror

    - by Alex
Hi there, I'm running a tomcat 6, spring, apache cxf webservice, know it is a must to add one third party library to my webapp to fulfill an order. I have jaxb-impl-2.1.12.jar for apache cxf in WEB-INF/lib folder and the new library which contains the JAXB 1.0 runtime. JAXB 2 ist used by apache cxf for dynamic clients (i need them). So is there a possibility to run the webapps with both libraries? Best regards Alex Caused by: java.lang.LinkageError: You are trying to run JAXB 2.0 runtime but you have old JAXB 1.0 runtime earlier in the classpath. Please remove the JAXB 1.0 runtime for 2.0 runtime to work correctly.

  • Proper usage of JTidy to purify HTML

    - by Raj
Hello, I am trying to use JTidy (jtidy-r938.jar) to sanitize an input HTML string, but I seem to have problems getting the default settings right. Often strings such as "hello world" end up as "helloworld" after tidying. I wanted to show what I'm doing here, and any pointers would be really appreciated: Assume that rawHtml is the String containing the input (real world) HTML. This is what I'm doing: InputStream is = new ByteArrayInputStream(rawHtml.getBytes("UTF-8")); Tidy tidy = new Tidy(); tidy.setQuiet(true); tidy.setShowWarnings(false); tidy.setXHTML(true); ByteArrayOutputStream baos = new ByteArrayOutputStream(); tidy.parseDOM(is, baos); String pure = baos.toString(); First off, does anything look fundamentally wrong with the above code? I seem to be getting weird results with this. Thanks in advance!

  • How to use Blazeds with a custom classloader?

    - by festerwim
Hi, has anybody tried using a custom classloader with BlazeDS? We have a web application using BlazeDS and we can convert Java objects in to ActionScript object and back without problems in the main application. However, we also have a plug-in mechanism based on a custom classloader. BlazeDS cannot map the types contained in jar files of that custom classloader since I don't know how to tell it to BlazeDS. Has anybody already done this? The livedocs of TypeMarshallingcontext show a setClassloader() method, but since the context seems to be a singleton, I assume this will not work if you have multiple custom classloaders (we have 1 for each plugin that is deployed) regards, Wim

  • Detect Applet context (am I inside an applet?)

    - by 7macaw
Hi, I'm wondering if there's a way for a Java class to figure out if it is being used within an applet? That is, I have a library (a .jar file) that can be used by 3rd-party applications and applets. It does work within applets, but I'd like to do some things differently, depending on whether or not the library is used in an applet - like show applet-applicable errors, avoid local file I/O, etc. It would be nice if, say, Applet.getAppletContext() was static so that I could call it (and get NULL or not NULL) even if I don't have an applet instance, but alas, it isn't. Is there any other way?

  • LWJGL not working

    - by Jesse Welch
I'm working on a homework assignment to modify code given by my professor using LightWeight Java Game Library. The problem is that I can't fully load the test code to begin testing modifications. I've linked against the jar file as it says to in the modifications, but I still have one lingering error. The import statement import org.lwjgl.util.glu.*; Cannot be resolved, so I have errors on the following lines, spread throughout the code: textures[0] = GLApp.makeTexture("green.bmp"); GLU.gluPerspective(45.0f, (float)Display.getDisplayMode().getWidth() / (float)Display.getDisplayMode().getHeight(), 0.1f, 100.0f); GLU.gluLookAt(cameraX, cameraY, cameraZ, lookX, lookY, lookZ, 0.0f, 1.0f, 0.0f);` Any ideas on what is going wrong?

  • Redirect batch stderr to file

    - by nivlam
I have a batch file that executes a java application. I'm trying to modify it so that whenever an exception occurs, it'll write the STDERR out to a file. It looks something like this: start java something.jar method %1 %2 2>> log.txt Is there a way I can write the arguments %1 and %2 to the log.txt file as well? I don't want to write it to the log file everytime this batch file gets called, only when an exception occurs. I tried searching for a way to redirect STDERR into a variable, but I couldn't figure it out. Ideally I'd like the log file to look something like: Batch file called with parameters: - "first arg" - "second arg" Exception: java.io.exception etc... ------------------------------------ Batch file called with parameters: - "first arg" - "second arg" Exception: java.io.exception etc...

  • Git checking out problem [fatal: early EOFs]

    - by Style
Dear all, I'm running a Ubuntu (9.10) server with Git (latest from Ubuntu package manager) installed. Access to the Git is via SSH. On windows machines, I'm using Cygwin to push/pull code. I can push my project code onto the server but when I do a clone or pull, it returns a [fatal: early EOFs] error at about 75-80%. Upon further investigation, it seems like textual data has no issue when pulled/cloned but when the jar files and images are pulled from Git, the error will occur. Any suggestion/advice that can help to resolve this issue? Thanks in advance.

  • Android compatibility with Restlet/JSON/Jackson

    - by Cookie
Hi there, I'm currently working on a webservice-client for Android. I'm using a Java client library which provides an abstraction for interaction with the service. The client library works on normal machines. However, when I use the classes in my Android project, some calls don't return a result on Android, the background-service stops working at the first of those commands. Wireshark shows a tcp exchange, the server gets the requests. There is no exceptions or anything. Something in the serialization/deserialization semms not to work. I'm using the newest version of Jackson libraries (1.5.3) and the restlet jar in the android edition. Is there any known problems with Jackson and Android? Which code and libraries are compatible with Android? Thanks in advance.

  • How to use PDFBox 1.0 in .net / C# environment using IKVM

    - by Evan
Id like to use PDFBox to generate PDF highlight files in my .net project. PDFBox states that it can be used in .net via IKVM http://www.pdfbox.org/userguide/dot_net.html BUT running ikvmc (latest version) to generate the DLLs on PDFBOX.1.0.0.jar generates a whole lot of NoClassDefFound warnings. How should I fix this, and what other DLLs do I need to include in my project? It seems as though file names have changed from the older documentation/articles I have read on the matter. thanks in advance.
