• Problems Mapping a List of Serializable Objets with JDO

  I have two classes Invoice and InvoiceItem. I would like Invoice to have a List of InvoiceItem Objets. I have red that the list must be of primitive or serializable objects. I have made InvoiceItem Serializable. store an invoice with a list of items through my app. In the development console I can see that items are not persisted to any field while the rest of the invoice class properties are stored properly. • Google Base Query Problems

  I am querying Google Base using the .NET library pretty much as described on this page. http://code.google.com/apis/base/docs/2.0/developers_guide_dotnet.html When I run the query a GBaseFeed is returned and it will usually have the TotalRecords property set to something like 35, but in the Entries collection it will often have no items or very few items. Other times the query returns all 35 items as expected in the Entries. Has anyone seen this behaviour or have any idea what could cause it?

• Problems installing PHP's PECL sphinx module

  I've installed the sphinx binaries and libraries and am now trying to install the PECL sphinx module. My system is running OS X 10.6 with MAMP 1.8.2 installed. I try to install sphinx using the following command: sudo pecl install sphinx The PECL command outputs the following: running: phpize Configuring for: PHP Api Version: 20090626 Zend Module Api No: 20090626 Zend Extension Api No: 220090626 The versions above don't match the versions listed when doing a phpinfo(). It seems that PECL is trying to complie against the built-in version of PHP. If I ignore the errors and continue the it will successfully compile and place the sphinx.so file in: /usr/lib/php/extensions/no-debug-non-zts-20090626/sphinx.so when in fact it should be: /Applications/MAMP/bin/php5/lib/php/extensions/no-debug-non-zts-20060613/ I've tried copying the sphinx.so file to the MAMP extensions dir but when I restart apache PHP displays the following warning: PHP Startup: Unable to load dynamic library '/Applications/MAMP/bin/php5/lib/php/extensions/no-debug-non-zts-20060613/sphinx.so I think this is because MAMP is 32bit and the built-in PHP is 64bit so PECL complies for 64bit. I might be completely wrong but I did read this when I goggled on the topic. Does anyone know how to get PECL to map to the MAMP version of PHP instead of the built-in version?

• Problems with Android Fragment back stack

  I've got a massive problem with the way the android fragment backstack seems to work and would be most grateful for any help that is offered. Imagine you have 3 Fragments [1] [2] [3] I want the user to be able to navigate [1] > [2] > [3] but on the way back (pressing back button) [3] > [1]. As I would have imagined this would be accomplished by not calling addToBackStack(..) when creating the transaction that brings fragment [2] into the fragment holder defined in XML. The reality of this seems as though that if I dont want [2] to appear again when user presses back button on [3], I must not call addToBackStack in the transaction that shows fragment [3]. This seems completely counter-intuitive (perhaps coming from the iOS world). Anyway if i do it this way, when I go from [1] > [2] and press back I arrive back at [1] as expected. If I go [1] > [2] > [3] and then press back I jump back to [1] (as expected). Now the strange behavior happens when I try and jump to [2] again from [1]. First of all [3] is briefly displayed before [2] comes into view. If I press back at this point [3] is displayed, and if I press back once again the app exits. Can anyone help me to understand whats going on here? • Problems with makeObjectsPerformSelector inside and outside a class?

  A friend and I are creating a card game for the iPhone, and in these early days of the project, I'm developing a Deck class and a Card class to keep up with the cards. I'm wanting to test the shuffle method of the Deck class, but I am not able to show the values of the cards in the Deck class instance. The Deck class has a NSArray of Card objects that have a method called displayCard that shows the value and suit using console output(printf or NSLog). In order to show what cards are in a Deck instance all at once, I am using this, [deck makeObjectsPerformSelector:@selector(displayCard)], where deck is the NSArray in the Deck class. Inside of the Deck class, nothing is displayed on the console output. But in a test file, it works just fine. Here's the test file that creates its own NSArray: #import <Foundation/Foundation.h> #import "card.h" int main (int argc, char** argv) { NSAutoreleasePool* pool = [[NSAutoreleasePool alloc] init]; Card* two = [[Card alloc] initValue:2 withSuit:'d']; Card* three = [[Card alloc] initValue:3 withSuit:'h']; Card* four = [[Card alloc] initValue:4 withSuit:'c']; NSArray* deck = [NSArray arrayWithObjects:two,three,four,nil]; //Ok, what if we release the objects in the array before they're used? //I don't think this will work... Is the real problem with how I'm using makeObjectsPerformSelector or something before/after it?

• Problems when using IconAlignment with WinForms ErrorProvider

  Hi, I have a ComboBox that has an associated ErrorProvider in the user control it belongs to. When an error happens, I want to display an icon on the left of the combo. However, no matter what value I set as IconAlignment for my combo, the icon gets displayed on the right. Do you guys have any idea what could be wrong here? Thanks for any help.

• Problems with zend-tool reporting that providers are not valid

  I have recently setup XAMPP 1.7.3 and ZendFramework 1.10.4 on a new computer and many of the commands that I normally use now fail. Here are the steps I used to setup and test ZF. First I added the ZF library folder (C:\xampp\php\ZendFramework-1.10.4\library) to the include path in php.ini. Then I added the ZF bin folder (C:\xampp\php\ZendFramework-1.10.4\bin) to my Path system variable. To test that everything is configured correctly I ran the command "zf show version" from the command line. The result is "Zend Framework Version: 1.9.6". Immediately something appears to be wrong. The file that is downloaded is "ZendFramework-1.10.4.zip" and the reported version is 1.9.6. I have re-downloaded the latest version (1.10.4) and removed old copy. Still the incorrect version number problem persisted. Having done some research there is a bug in the ZF knowledgebase that version 1.10.3 reports a wrong version number. So that may explain the version number problem. Moving forward I tried to run some zf-tool commands and certain commands reports that the action or provider is not valid. Example: C:\xampp\htdocs>zf create project test Creating project at C:/xampp/htdocs/test C:\xampp\htdocs>cd test C:\xampp\htdocs\test>zf create controller Test Creating a controller at C:\xampp\htdocs\test/application/controllers/TestController.php ... • Problems upgrading MySQL application from Delphi 2006 to 2010

  I upgraded my Delphi to 2010 version and I tried to open and run application written in Delphi 2006. The app is using mysql by dbexpress with libmysql.dll and a second driver found somewhere on the Internet. I can't run it on 2010. I'm always getting "missing libmysql.dll library". I tried to get new version of it but it didn't help. Copying this library into almost all system directories didn't help. I'm out of any ideas what to do, how do I connect to database :(

  I guess this would be a DevExpress mask, but here is what I have: var dlEdit = new DevExpress.XtraEditors.Repository.RepositoryItemTextEdit(); dlEdit.Mask.MaskType = MaskType.RegEx; dlEdit.Mask.EditMask = "\\d{1,10}"; I'm trying to get a number that can be up to 10 digits in length that WILL accept leading 0's, as it is now it will show the leading 0's (ex. 0032421243) until the field is clicked off in which case it removes them. I tried a numeric masktype but same thing only it wouldn't let me enter the 0's to start with at all. I thought this would be my answer but this custom type isn't. Can someone point me in the right direction for what I need? Maybe a different type of mask or something?

  Hi I am having some trouble getting Django & PIL work properly since upgrading to Snow Leopard. I have installed freetype, libjpeg and then PIL, which tells me: --- TKINTER support ok --- JPEG support ok --- ZLIB (PNG/ZIP) support ok --- FREETYPE2 support ok but when I try to upload a jpeg through the django admin interface I get: Upload a valid image. The file you uploaded was either not an image or a corrupted image. It works fine with PNG files. Any Ideas?

• iPhone Provisioning Profile problems...

  I have already successfully submitted two apps to the app store, so I should be able to do it by now, right? With my most recent app, however, I'm having a bear of a time with getting the Application Identifier or Bundle Identifier set up. In my distribution profile, I have included the identifier "com.jmock.irowbeta", and then copied it exactly into the the app's Info.plist file under "Bundle Identifier". In the past, this has done the trick, but now I'm getting the error Provisioning profile 'irow beta' specificies the identifier 'com.jmock.irowbeta' which doesn't match the current setting 'com.yourcompany.irow-beta'. So it seems that its somehow still using the default of com.yourcompany.APPLICATION_NAME, but it shouldn't after I have changed it in the Info.plist, right? I think this means that xcode isn't recognizing that PLIST for some reason, because when I change the name of the icon file, for example, or other such attributes, nothing changes. If this is the problem, how do I make xcode recognize the PLIST? Otherwise, what the heck is going on? Thanks, James

• Javascript problems?

  I've been staring at the source code of these two download pages for awhile now and i can't seem to find the problem. I have two download pages, one where the javascript is working, one where it isnt. working: http://justupload.it/v/lfd7 not: http://justupload.it/v/ljhv The working one allows me to rotate the image and reveal the comments box by clicking on the comments button. The non-working one does not let me do that stuff. Can anyone help me find the problem or recommend a program to help me do it?

• Debugging problems in Visual Studio 2005 - No source code available for the current location

  Hi all I've searched up and down Google for others with a similar problem, and while I can find the error I don't think that other people have the same base problem that I do. Basically, I had to create a project for a unit-testing environment in order to run this test suite. First, I add my original C file, compile, and then a test file (C++) is generated. I then exclude my original source from the project, include this test script (which includes the original source at the top), and then run. I can debug the test file fine, but when it jumps to the original C file I get the dreaded 'no source code available for the current location' error. Both files are located within the same location, and I compiled the original file without any issue. Anybody have any thoughts about this? Its driving me crazy!

  Hi there, I'm having trouble making a simple shape move along a path in IE7 (the only version of IE I tried, actually). The following code works fine in chrome and firefox, but not IE. I couldn't find an obvious reason, has anybody seen something similar? canvas.path(rPath.path).attr("stroke", "blue"); var circle = canvas.circle(rPath.startX, rPath.startY, 5); circle.animateAlong(rPath.path, 3000, true); My rPath variable has the path and the starting point coordinates. Microsoft script debugger points to this line as the one where the code breaks: os.left != (t = x - left + "px") && (os.left = t); (line 2131 inside the uncompressed raphael.js script file, inside Element[proto].setBox = function (params, cx, cy) {...}) Any ideas? • SQL Rounding Problems in 2005 and 2000

  I have a value in the database which is 2.700000002. When I run a query in Management studio in SQL SERVER 2005 I get 2.7. But when I run in SQL SERVER 2000 query analyzer it comes 2.700000002. 2.70000002 is correct why is SQL SERVER 2005 trying to change the value by rounding it or selecting the floor value?
