• Cannot debug tests using Resharper

  Hi, I'm not able to debug my tests using Resharper-Debug option in my project. I have seen this issue raised by lots of people, but has't come across a solid suggestion which solves my issue. The strange thing is that, if I create a sample project and write a simple unit test, I'm able to debug it without any issues.However when I try to do this in my current project, it simply throws a dialog box saying "Cannot Launch Debugger".I have checked this with my peers, and they does't face this issue :( Also I don't have any issues while running the test. • php/mysql append state to city

  Hello, Having a hard time figuring out the best way to do this... I have a search function that takes "search terms" and "search location". In the location input, I have an suggestion feature that brings up "city, state abbreviation" but it seems some users just do not use it(or can't) so they end up entering just a city name... I need to append the state abbreviation after the form is submitted. I have a table with all city and state names in the U.S. but the problem is... there are multiple cities with the same name in different states... I would like to add the state abbreviation for the state that the city is most popular for(does that make sense?). For example, if the user enters "Miami" I would like it to become "Miami, FL" as opposed to "Miami, WV"... Any ideas? Thanks!

I'm able to send an email but I'm not getting the way that allows me to add my own signature. • How to display tab bar in UIViewController

  I have created tabbar based project in MT and I have following flow in my storyboard; Tabbarcontroller -> 1) MainViewController -> CustomerViewController; 2) SettingViewController The problem I am having is that when I use PrepareForSegue function in CustomerViewController and pointing it to MainViewController. Tab Bar UI is missing from MainViewController. I know that if I point to TabBarController it is going to be fine. But I need to pass some data exactly to MainViewController. Is there any way to make it. I am new in iOS and monotouch. Any suggestion appreciate.

• Getting hold of a reference to the object created by JOptionPane static methods

  Hi, I wonder if it is possible to get hold of a reference to the (JDialog?) object created by one of those static methods of JOptionPane (e.g. showMessageDialog)? I intend to modify the position where the dialog appears on the screen. More specifically, I want the dialog to appear at the top-left corner of the main app window, instead of the centre of the window by default. So having a reference to the object would enable me to use setLocation to achieve the desired effect... Any suggestion would be appreciated! Thanks!

• Vertical line problem in the detail section of Crystal report

  Hello, I have a little problem with the vertical lines in Detail section. In detail section at the end there is horizontal line. Also I have Report Footer section which displays total number of records. I suppressed Page Footer section. I would like end all the vertical lines to the last line of the records not to extend beyond the "Total"(Report Footer). It works fine if everything on the same page. The problem starts when the last line of the detail is on the first page and the "Total" wouldn't fit on the first page. It displays "Total" on the second page and it draws vertical lines to the end of the page. Thanks for any suggestion.

• Android: The concept for detecting changes of an opened file

  I wrote an application for video recording which stores the recording to a file. Currently I am looking for a way to implement some kind of "listener" to listen for file changes. The concept I would like to implement is the following: Check the file on a set period of time (for example one second), extract changes (get the data that was written in the last period) and do something with these data. • Added AJAX controls to toolkit but can't add them to webpage, no smart tags

  Added AJAX controls to my toolkit as per directions online. They appear in the AJAX Toolkit tab in the toolbox just fine. Try to add them to design view and does not work. Tried selecting the textbox and clicking the smart tag to add the extender but there is not smart tag. Googled and found suggestion to reset toolbox and re-add AJAX controls. Did that and problem remains. Any help is appreciated!!!

  I'm working on creating a date/time user control in WPF using C# 2008. My first user control. I'm also using Matthew MacDonald's book, "Pro WPF in C# 2008". In that book he strongly recommended creating a user control using the WPF Custom Control Library project template; so I followed his suggestion. I've finished writing the code which would go into what I think of as the code-behind file. Now I'm ready to write the XAML. The only problem is, I just discovered there is no corresponding .xaml file? So, I don't get why using a WPF Custom Control Library project is better, or prefered, when writing a user control?

• When is it a good idea to use the CSS display property?

  I think I first learned of this property when I thought "I should put this list of items in a ul, but I want it to be laid out horizontally. I wonder if I can do that with CSS?" When I googled this, I found a couple of sites suggesting that I create a CSS rule that would change the value of the display property of the li elements to inline. I've also seen the suggestion that a div (or other block element) be given display: table-cell in order to force the vertical align property to work. These techniques seem kind of hacky. Does that make sense? This might not be a good analogy, but it seems like trying to ride a car as if it were a motorcycle. Yeah, I could replace the steering wheel with handle bars, wear a helmet, and remove all the passenger seating, but how the heck is a car going to drive on two wheels??

• [C#] Creating standalone, console (shell) for domain-specific operations

  Say that I have a system service, and I want to offer a low-level maintenance access to it. For that purpose, I'd like to create a standalone, console application that somehow connects to server process and lets user type in commands, allow it to use auto-completion and auto-suggestion on single/double TAB press (just like linux bash shell, mysql cli, cmd.exe, and countless others), allow command line editing capabilities (history, cursor keys to move around text..), etc. Now, it's not that much of a problem to create something like that by rolling my own from scratch, handling user input, scanning pressed keys, and doing correct actions. But, why reinvent the wheel? Is there some library/framework that helps with this kind of problems, just like readline library that offers improved command-line editing capabilities under linux? Of course, this new "shell" would respond only to valid, domain-specific commands, and would suggest valid arguments, options, switches... Any ideas? Thanks!

• Rscript does not recognize setGeneric function

  I am trying to convert an R script into something that a client can run in batch mode. My code uses generic functions and one snippet which is near the beginning goes like: setGeneric("testInput", function(inputData, params = list()) standardGeneric("testInput")) I've been using R CMD BATCH and it works fine. However I couldn't find an easy way to make my script print the output on the console, so based on that (and suggestion that Rscript.exe is the "proper" way to run R batch files) I decided to switch to Rscript. However when running the very same .R file with Rscript I get the following: Error: could not find function "setGeneric" Execution halted I know there is probably a trivial reason behind this but I just cannot figure it out. Can someone please point me to where the mistake is? Thanks so much in advance. Cheers!

• jQuery tabs work in Safari and firefox but show up as bullet point in IE

  I am using the jquery tabs . It shows up fine in Safari and firefox, however it will not load correct in IE. They show up as bullet points in stead of tabs. The question is: 1) Is VS2010 wrong in allowing the first case? 2) Is it possible to create objects of B without modifying B in any way (no friendship and no extra functions). • Create web page launcher, losing focus

  I have created a php webpage. I now want to create a launcher application in android phone, it simply opens the browser with the url "http://<mywebsite>/m". I use uri intent to launch the browser in onCreate function. public void onCreate(...) { .... startActivity(new Intent(Intent.ACTION_VIEW, new Uri(http://<mywebsite>/m))); ... } I execute this program in my G1 phone (Cyan Mod 5). However, when I click the "Home" key, and then re-enter my application through Task list, I lose focus for my last started browser, and the screen blank Any suggestion?! Should I need any code in onResume function to re-focus my web!?

• WMCI - how to get the ERRORLEVEL

  Hi, I want to use the "wmic" command for finding out if a specific java process is still up and running. E.g. wmic process where "commandLine like '%ACTMonitor%' and executablePath like '%PATH1%' and name like '%java%'" The problem now is that the errorlevel of this command is always 0, no matter if there is a process listed or not. How can I manage to get an errorlevel != 0 in case the process is not up anymore? Or can one of you tell me another suggestion on how to be able to continue in a .bat script with this information... • ShapeFile with Z Co-ordinates

  I have 3 shapefiles, two of them wihtout the Z Co-ordinates elevation but 1 of them has a Z co-ordinate elevation. I can load two ShapeFiles into my SQL Server Database which does not have Z Co-ordinates. But I am having issue loading the Z Co-ordinate file into the database. I have been reading different forums and got a suggestion that I need to trim the Z coordinates(chnage 3D to 2D) to load into the database. I was just wondering how can I achieve this?
